Overview

Coohom is a 3D cloud design platform for turning floor plans into furnished interior projects that can be rendered and shared. Upload a floor plan image and Coohom detects walls and dimensions to build a 3D project. Its tools are aimed at planning and presenting a room, rather than choosing a paint for a particular surface: the listed features focus on layouts, furniture, visualization and project costs.

The furniture catalog includes dimensioned models from brands such as IKEA, West Elm and CB2. A Budget Widget tracks the running cost as items are added and can export an itemized PDF. Coohom says freelancers and studios use the platform for client work; clients can view shared deliverables without a Coohom account.

Coohom also lists real-time scenes, 360° tours, VR/AR support, AI visualization tools and video export. Some features depend on the plan: Starter does not include 360° panoramas or photo-to-3D import.

Platforms

Coohom is a hybrid product available on the web, Android, iOS, macOS and Windows. In a browser, it names Chrome, Edge and Safari and says projects auto-save. Desktop apps are available for Windows 10/11 64-bit and macOS 10.15 or later, with account data synchronized with the web version. Mobile viewing is also listed.

Who it's for

Coohom may suit homeowners planning a room layout or furnishing scheme, as well as freelancers and studios preparing designs to share with clients. Its catalog dimensions and running cost estimate can help with furniture planning. For a DIY painter, however, the stated features are about interior design rather than paint selection or specifying a coating for walls, concrete, wood or metal.

Pros and cons

Pros: Floor plan image conversion, dimensioned furniture models, project cost tracking and client sharing are all listed. Starter provides a no-cost way to access the platform, and Coohom lists support across browser, desktop and mobile platforms.
Cons: Starter limits rendering to 10 images per month and shareable links to 3, and excludes 360° panoramas and photo-to-3D import. Paint and coating selection tools are not among the stated features.

Alternatives

Other options include Sweet Home 3D, Home Design 3D, Live Home 3D, Planner 5D, Roomle, RoomSketcher, Floor Plan Creator and HomeByMe.

Verdict

Coohom is a broad room-design and presentation platform, with floor plan conversion, furnishing, rendering, budgeting and client sharing among its stated capabilities. Its free Starter plan makes it possible to begin without paying, while the paid plans add larger catalogs, more rendering and other presentation features. For homeowners whose main task is selecting paint or a coating for a real surface, Coohom's listed tools do not address that need directly; it is better suited to shaping and communicating the room design around that work.
