Overview

FieldAx is a cloud-based field service management platform built on Salesforce. It brings scheduling, customer information, job management and business administration into one system, with tools for dispatching work, matching jobs to technician skills, preparing estimates, collecting signatures and issuing invoices. Customer 360, service plans and service history support the customer-facing side of ongoing service work, while inventory management and dashboards cover operational needs.

The product is designed for small and medium enterprise organizations. Its mobile app gives field staff access to work orders, customer details, service history and documentation, and supports job-status updates, photos, signatures and reports. Offline operation is also listed among its mobile capabilities.

Key features

Scheduling and job management

A dispatch board provides a central view for assigning and managing field work. Skill matching helps align jobs with technician capabilities. Job management and service plans support work from scheduling through ongoing service, while estimates and estimate templates help structure the quoting process.

Customer and field records

Customer 360, CRM and service history give teams tools for organizing customer information and past work. The mobile app puts relevant details and documentation in reach for technicians, including when operating offline. Staff can update job status and capture photos, signatures and reports from the app.

Business operations and customization

FieldAx includes invoicing, inventory management and dashboards, and its listed capabilities include online booking, lead capture, invoices and payments, and customer messaging. The platform supports low-code and traditional development approaches for building custom applications and integrations.

Its integration hub documents Twilio, Stripe, PayPal and API connections. FieldAx also lists QuickBooks and Xero among its third-party integrations, alongside PayPal and Stripe. External systems with API access can be connected.

Pricing

FieldAx is a paid product with no free plan. The listed starting price is From $35/user/mo (annual), and a 15-day trial is noted. Separately, the Unlimited plan is listed at 39.00 USD per month, billed quarterly. It provides unrestricted access to all features and requires no additional Salesforce platform license.

The pricing page includes unlimited customizable platform support and a free Salesforce platform license. Trial terms are described differently across the available details: the pricing note lists a 15-day trial, while the trial description specifies 14 days with full access to scheduling, reporting and mobile tools, and no credit card required.

Platforms

FieldAx is available on the web, Android and iOS. The dedicated mobile app is compatible with iOS and Android devices. Installation requires a Salesforce Enterprise Edition organization, including a trial organization, and a current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge.

The platform is described as built on Salesforce’s secure Force.com infrastructure. That Salesforce foundation is also a practical deployment consideration: prospective users need the required Salesforce organization, rather than only a browser account for FieldAx.

Who it's for

FieldAx is aimed at small and medium enterprise organizations managing field service teams. It may suit businesses that need dispatching, job records, estimates, customer history, invoicing and mobile field updates within a Salesforce-based platform. Offline mobile operation and support for photos and signatures are relevant for teams recording work away from the office.

It is less immediately suited to a business seeking a standalone setup without Salesforce, because installation requires a Salesforce Enterprise Edition organization. Its customization approaches and API connections may be useful where teams need to adapt workflows or connect external services.

Verdict

FieldAx combines core field-service workflows with mobile documentation, customer records, billing tools and integration options. Its Salesforce foundation is both a notable part of the product and a requirement to plan around: businesses need an Enterprise Edition organization to install it. The paid plans and conflicting trial-length descriptions are also worth clarifying before choosing a subscription. For small and medium enterprise service teams already working within Salesforce, its range of dispatch, job, customer and mobile capabilities makes it a substantial option to assess.
