Overview

Estimate Rocket is an estimating and project-management platform for service and trade contractors. For painting businesses, its scope extends beyond quoting: it brings lead intake, scheduling, customer communication, invoicing and project tracking into one workflow. The company says the product is designed for growth-minded contractors, including painters, remodelers, roofers and landscapers.

That breadth makes it relevant to painting businesses managing work from an initial enquiry through job completion and payment. Its estimating tools include custom templates, production-rate calculations, interactive proposals and electronic signatures. Once a job is underway, teams can coordinate work orders and change orders, record time and expenses, and follow job costs and profitability.

Estimate Rocket was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Newburyport, Massachusetts, United States. The company says all core platform features are included in every plan, while optional add-ons are also available.

Key features

Estimates and proposals

Custom estimate templates and built-in production-rate calculations support the process of preparing quotes. Interactive proposals give customers a way to review an estimate, and electronic signatures let them sign digitally. Estimate Rocket also lists cost estimation and resource capacity among its capabilities, though the supplied information does not detail how those functions are configured.

Job coordination and cost tracking

Teams can schedule jobs, manage work orders and change orders, and track time and expenses. Job-cost and profitability monitoring helps contractors keep operational and financial information connected to project activity.

Customer communication and lead management

The platform includes lead management, online booking and a customer portal. Automated emails and texts, along with two-way messaging, support communication with customers during the work process. The company describes the portal as a secure way for customers to access estimates and invoices.

Reports and integrations

Reporting covers sales, receipts, the lead pipeline, completed work, open accounts receivable, workload, profitability and closing ratios. Listed integrations include Zapier, CompanyCam, QuickBooks, YouCanBookMe and Google Workspace.

Onboarding and support

Plans include onboarding and training. The company says support is available by phone, chat and email.

Platforms

Its FAQ says offline access is in development, so the available information does not establish that teams can rely on the platform without an internet connection.

Who it's for

Estimate Rocket is aimed at service and trade contractors seeking to manage estimating and project operations together. Painters may find its combination of proposals, scheduling, change-order handling, customer communication and job-cost reporting relevant when coordinating several stages of a project.
