These ten Raven fan-art picks show what makes the character compelling: a dark, instantly recognizable silhouette, a struggle to master formidable magic, and a reserved nature softened by her bonds with the Titans. Each image slot below is organized around a distinct artistic treatment; use only artwork whose creator, source post, and permission or license status you can verify before publication.
Why Raven works in so many visual styles
DC identifies Raven as Rachel Roth, a founding member of the New Teen Titans. Born to a human mother and a demonic father, she was trained to control her emotions and mystical powers. DC’s character profile describes her as fighting for a world she fears she can never truly belong to. That tension—power held in check, darkness met with a choice to be a hero—gives artists room to reinterpret her without losing the character at the center.
The team matters, too. DC presents Raven alongside Starfire, Beast Boy, and Robin as part of an extended family of young heroes. Against that warm group dynamic, Raven’s reserve reads as a character trait rather than a lack of connection. It is a good reason to revisit Teen Titans: Raven’s story is not only about magic, but also about learning to belong.
10 Raven fan-art pictures to look for
The following are ten distinct visual approaches, not claims that particular works are official or licensed. For each slot, select a real image only after confirming its displayed creator name, original post URL, medium if stated, and reuse permission or license. Credit the artist in the caption and link to the original post.
#1 Best Overall
- Incredibly detailed 7” scale figure based off the DC Multiverse
- Designed with Ultra Articulation with up to 22 moving parts for full range of posing and play
- Figure includes pieces that when combined with the rest of the Titans Build-a line will assemble Beast Boy
- Raven comes with two flame effects, Titans Beast Boy build-a figure hands, head and base.
- Included collectible art card with character art on the front, and character biography on the back
-
Classic cartoon silhouette
Choose a pose where the hood, long cloak, and purple palette register at a glance. Strong silhouette recognition is the point: even a simple profile can say “Raven” before the viewer studies the details. Suggested alt text: “Raven fan art in a hooded cloak with a recognizable purple palette.”
-
Comic-book shadow study
Look for heavy inks, sharp contrasts, or halftone texture that evoke printed superhero art. A bright edge against deep shadow can suggest Raven’s central duality without implying that a fan artist’s interpretation is canon. Suggested alt text: “Teen Titans Raven fan art rendered with comic-book inks and strong shadows.”
-
Manga or anime reinterpretation
Find a piece that changes the eyes, linework, or shading conventions while retaining cues such as the hood, cloak, and purple accents. The interesting comparison is how far the style can shift while Raven remains recognizable. Suggested alt text: “Raven anime fan art with a hooded costume and purple details.”

Funko POP TV: Teen Titans Go! - Raven Action Figure- Check out the other Teen Titan figures from Funko!
- Stands 3 3/4 inches tall
- Funko did it again!
-
Astral projection or soul-self
Favor an image that makes her mystical powers visible—perhaps through a projected form, glowing aura, or other supernatural effect. Describe the work as the artist’s visualization; unless an image is tied to a specific DC source, do not present its particular design as official canon. Suggested alt text: “Raven fan art depicting a mystical projection alongside the character.”
-
Quiet, everyday portrait
A still portrait can capture what an action pose cannot: a distant, thoughtful expression and the effort of keeping emotion contained. Compare the mood with the more theatrical magic pieces; Raven’s restraint is part of her identity, not an absence of feeling. Suggested alt text: “A quiet portrait of Raven with a reserved expression.”
-
Raven with the Titans
Choose a team composition with Starfire, Beast Boy, or Robin. The contrast between Raven’s darker palette and the other heroes’ expressions or colors can make the Titans’ extended-family feel visible. Suggested alt text: “Raven and the Teen Titans together in a fan-made group illustration.”

- The classic New Teen Titans character
- Based on a new interpretation by master illustrator Shunya Yamashita

Modern streetwear Raven
Contemporary clothing can relocate Raven’s familiar mood to an everyday setting. Look for an image that preserves recognizable cues—perhaps purple accents or a hood—while changing the silhouette. Call it a fan redesign, not an official costume. Suggested alt text: “Fan-art redesign of Raven in contemporary streetwear.”

Magic in motion
For an action image, pay attention to the pose as much as the energy effects. A controlled gesture can imply discipline; a more turbulent composition can suggest the darkness she works to master. These are readings of the artwork, not claims about a particular scene in the comics or show. Suggested alt text: “Raven fan art casting magic in a dynamic action pose.”
-
Minimalist or limited-color poster
A reduced palette or poster-like composition tests how much visual information Raven needs. A hooded outline and a restrained use of purple may do the work of a much more detailed rendering. Suggested alt text: “Minimalist Raven fan art using a limited purple palette.”

From fan art to an official graphic novel
Gabriel Picolo offers a documented bridge between fan art and official Teen Titans work. DC reports that Picolo began as a popular internet fan artist whose Teen Titans art often went viral; he later illustrated Teen Titans: Raven, written by Kami Garcia. Picolo told DC, “So, much of the look of my characters was inspired by the classic Teen Titans cartoon.” His path is a useful reminder that fan and commissioned work are different categories: identify the status of each image rather than assuming an artist’s later official work makes earlier posts free to reuse. Suggested alt text: “Gabriel Picolo’s Teen Titans: Raven graphic novel artwork.”
How to caption and publish fan art responsibly
A credit is not permission. Fan art remains the creator’s work unless a license grants reuse or the creator gives permission. Before publication, record the artist’s displayed name, original post URL, medium when stated, and the exact permission or license terms; follow any attribution requirements. Do not scrape or hotlink images, and do not imply DC endorsement.

A Reddit post may identify a specific illustration as user-made and name its creator, but that identification is not a publication license. If permission cannot be confirmed, leave the image out.
