Use the official store for your device: Microsoft Store on Windows, Google Play on Android, and the App Store on iPhone or iPad. ibis Paint’s official download page does not provide a standalone APK file. On Windows, the application is called ibisPaint, not ibis Paint X, and its free mode is limited to one hour per day.

Before installing, check that the publisher is ibis inc. This is especially important on Android, where unofficial download pages may use the ibis Paint name while distributing modified or outdated files.

How to install ibis Paint X on Android
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Search for ibis Paint X.
- Verify that the developer is ibis inc.
- Tap Install, then tap Open when the download finishes.
The free Android version includes advertisements and optional in-app purchases. It is not the same as downloading a cracked or “premium unlocked” APK. Those unofficial packages can be modified, outdated, or bundled with malware, and they do not provide a supported installation path.
Installing on a Huawei phone without Google Play
Open ibis Paint’s official mobile download page and follow its HUAWEI AppGallery link. The developer’s current official page points Android users to Google Play or HUAWEI AppGallery; it does not host a direct .apk download.
How to install ibisPaint on Windows
Windows uses a Microsoft Store application called ibisPaint. There is no Windows APK, because APK is an Android package format.

- Click Get in Store App.
- When Windows displays “Open Microsoft Store?”, select Open Microsoft Store.
- In Microsoft Store, click Get.
- After installation, click Open.
- Choose Demo Mode if you want to try the application without purchasing it.
Demo Mode can be used for up to one hour per day. It is not unlimited free access. To remove that limit, use the purchase option inside the application. The official English instructions call this option “Puchase This App”, followed by “Purchase Pro Upgrade.”

The Windows version can import BMP, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, PSD and IPV files. It can export JPEG, PNG, PSD and IPV files.
How to install ibis Paint X on iPhone or iPad
- Open the App Store.
- Search for ibis Paint X.
- Choose the listing published by ibis inc..
- Tap Get.
- Approve the installation with Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple Account password if requested.
- Tap Open after installation.
The current official requirement is iOS 15.0 or later and iPadOS 15 or later. If you see older guides claiming that the current app supports iOS 13 or iOS 14, they are out of date. The minimum requirement was raised to iOS/iPadOS 15 beginning with version 12.2.11, released on December 2, 2024.

Feature availability and paid tiers are not identical between mobile and Windows. The official comparison also lists 64 MB of cloud storage for non-Premium users and 20 GB for Premium members.
Moving artwork between mobile and Windows
Installing ibis Paint on two devices does not automatically copy your canvases between them. For the official cross-device workflow, enable cloud synchronization and sign in with the same account on both versions.

- Sign in with an ibisAccount, X, Facebook or Apple account.
- Install and open ibisPaint on Windows.
- Enable Cloud Synchronization there as well.
- Use the same authentication account on the mobile and Windows applications.
Back up or synchronize important artwork before deleting the mobile app. Local canvases may not be recoverable simply because the application was previously installed on another device.

Fixes for common download and installation problems
Android installation is crashing
The developer reported crashes affecting some devices in Google Play version 14.0.2. The problem was fixed in version 14.0.4, released May 27, 2026. Open the Play Store, search for ibis Paint X, and tap Update. Reinstalling an old APK can bring the problem back and is not the recommended fix.
The app cannot be installed
- Check the operating-system requirement: Android 7+, iOS/iPadOS 15+, or the specified Windows release.
- Free storage before trying again. Windows requires at least 2 GB of free space according to the official requirements.
- On Android, use the listing whose developer is ibis inc. and package is
jp.ne.ibis.ibispaintx.app. - On Windows, install through Microsoft Store rather than looking for an APK.
- On Huawei devices, use the AppGallery listing linked from ibis Paint’s official site.
Current versions
Version numbers change as the apps are updated. The verified listings report ibisPaint for Windows 14.0.3, released May 25, 2026; Android ibis Paint X 14.0.4, released May 27, 2026; and iOS/iPadOS ibis Paint X 14.0.6 in the App Store release information. Check the relevant store listing for the version available to your device.

Is there an official ibis Paint X APK download?
No. The official ibis Paint mobile page currently directs Android users to Google Play or HUAWEI AppGallery and does not provide a direct APK file. Downloading from unofficial APK sites is not the supported installation method.
