The best marketing portfolios do more than display attractive work: they show what the marketer solves, what they personally contributed, how they worked, and what changed as a result. This editorially selected list includes individual marketers, writers, social specialists, growth practitioners, creative portfolios, agencies, and early-career examples. Use each one for a specific lesson—not as a template to copy wholesale.
Important: Portfolio sites change, disappear, or redirect. The examples below are drawn from the supplied research and should be live-checked before publication, especially entries whose original source did not expose a direct portfolio URL.

What is a marketing portfolio?
A marketing portfolio is a curated proof-of-work site or presentation. It should make five things clear:
#1 Best Overall
- Still superior, and now upgraded for life’s biggest advancements: Originally crafted to suit the advanced professional, we recently added smart changes to this customized vegan leather portfolio for those returning to pursue their MBA, or interviewing for that next wrung up the ladder; features include solar calculator, full PU leather interior, dual start zipper, and abundant storage so paper never crunches or falls out
- For million project masters: Juggle less, get more done. Professional, thoughtfully designed storage designed with those who “do it all” without batting an eye. Custom pockets allow you to quickly and easily access your tablet, pens, calculator, cards and everything else without giving it a second thought.
- Sleek & stunning in hand - Compact for travel: Leather folder looks gorgeous held in hand walking into the board meeting, law school, or interview while sliding neatly into handbags, backpacks while maintaining far greater storage than traditional leather planners.
- Give the gift that says, “I believe you will succeed” with this premium, practical, stylish gift for graduates, lawyers, business professionals and those on the rise. Carries your entire suite of supplies from travel tickets, documents, resumes, professional pens and everything you need to outshine others in the business world.
- Ultimate satisfaction: Quality. Service. Elation with everything you order from us, that’s the Cossini brand philosophy. From the luxurious PU leather, to the buttery smooth zipper pull, to the organization that flows with your changing life, you’ll feel satisfied with your decision to purchase.
- your specialty and the audience or businesses you serve;
- the problems you solve;
- your contribution to each project;
- the work, process, results, or learning generated; and
- the next action an employer or client should take.
It is not a resume copied onto a website, a gallery of attractive images, a list of job responsibilities, or a wall of company logos without context. A strong portfolio gives the reader enough information to judge your thinking and execution.

25 marketing portfolio examples and the lesson from each
1. Steve Siegel — organized breadth
Steve Siegel’s portfolio demonstrates how a marketer with a broad skill set can avoid an undifferentiated project wall. Categories such as interactive marketing, infographics, and sales enablement help visitors self-select the work relevant to them.
Borrow: Group work by buyer need or capability. Do not copy: a long skills list without showing what each skill produced.

2. Shirene Chehrazi — distinctive but practical
Shirene Chehrazi’s portfolio is a useful model for combining personal color and strong contrast with practical recruiter information, including a downloadable resume.

3. Denise Rick — early positioning and outcomes
Denise Rick’s portfolio shows the value of stating specialties, interests, experience, and outcomes near the beginning.
Borrow: Replace generic claims such as “results-driven” with specific work and substantiated results. Any metric should include its period, channel, baseline, and your contribution.

6. Elizabeth Harmon — design that serves content
Elizabeth Harmon’s portfolio uses a calm visual system and generous white space so the writing and content strategy remain central.
Borrow: For copywriting and content work, prioritize readable type, scannable excerpts, clear project labels, and enough surrounding context to show strategic judgment.
7. Lisa Hannam — curated categories
Lisa Hannam’s portfolio illustrates how a small number of strong project categories can feel more intentional than a complete archive.
Borrow: Each project card should identify the client or project, industry, work performed, and purpose or result. Remove weak work even if it is recent.

14. McMath Creative — focused one-page structure
McMath Creative is a useful one-page model when the service offering is focused and contact information remains easy to find.
Borrow: A one-page site can work if it has clear section headings, jump links or predictable scrolling, selected proof, and a persistent or repeated contact CTA.

17. Robin Mastromarino — restrained interaction
Robin Mastromarino’s portfolio is cited as an example of subtle interaction and motion making project browsing memorable.

Borrow: Potential is credible when the deliverable and methodology are visible. Never imply that a hypothetical campaign produced real commercial results.
19. Michael Antolak — playful but legible
Michael Antolak is cited in the Website Planet coverage as an example of playful copy and personality. Verify the current URL through the source article.
Borrow: A memorable voice can make a creative portfolio feel human, provided visitors can still understand capabilities, services, work, and next steps within seconds.
20. Jordyn Brenner — verify before using as a model
Jordyn Brenner appears among the additional individual examples identified by the research. Because the extract does not expose a direct URL or enough detail for a responsible critique, verify the live portfolio and analyze it using the same framework before publication.
Editorial lesson: A list is only as current as its link checks. Do not present an unavailable or changed site as a current benchmark.
21. Brad Mace — distinguish the person from the brand
Brad Mace is another additional individual example named in the source material. Check the live site through the source coverage before publishing a screenshot or detailed claim.
What to analyze: Is the specialty clear, are projects attributable to the owner, and can a recruiter or client reach the work without navigating a brand-heavy presentation?
22. Melissa Rittenhouse — use the common rubric
Melissa Rittenhouse is identified as an additional portfolio candidate. The supplied research does not provide a stable direct URL or detailed observations, so treat this as a verification-required entry.
What to borrow only after checking: the clearest positioning line, the strongest proof artifact, and the shortest route from project to contact.

23. Maya Francis — individual portfolio reference
Maya Francis’s portfolio is included in the source map as an individual example. Recheck the live presentation before publication, then classify it by specialty, evidence level, and intended audience rather than praising its appearance alone.
Borrow: Make the owner’s role and the type of work easy to identify even when the portfolio uses a highly personal visual style.
24. Journo Portfolio’s marketing directory — learn from patterns
The Journo Portfolio marketing examples directory is not one person’s portfolio, but it is useful for comparing how communications specialists, writers, designers, and content professionals present their work.
Borrow: Compare several portfolios in the same specialty. Look for recurring proof: published links, excerpts, client context, service labels, testimonials, and a clear contact route.
25. The no-client portfolio model — transparent potential
A credible no-client portfolio can be built around three to five clearly labeled projects: a personal growth experiment, a mock campaign for a real or invented brief, volunteer or nonprofit work, coursework with a concrete deliverable, and a teardown or improvement proposal for a real brand.
Borrow: Show the brief, research, assumptions, channel plan, sample assets, measurement plan, and what you would test next. Label every speculative result as hypothetical. This format is especially useful for students, career changers, and marketers whose professional work is private.

Specific positioning
The first screen should answer: “What do you do, for whom, and toward what outcome?” A useful formula is:
I help [audience or type of company] achieve [business or marketing outcome] through [specialty].
Selected work rather than everything
Choose projects that support the role or client you want next. A recruiter may need fast evidence of scope and outcomes; a freelance buyer may care more about services, process, industry familiarity, and trust signals.
Context and attribution
Every case study should distinguish the team’s objective from your individual responsibilities. Explain collaborators, decisions you owned, deliverables you produced, and results you influenced rather than claiming sole credit for team performance.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Credible proof
A useful evidence hierarchy is:
- verified business outcomes;
- campaign metrics with a baseline, period, channel, and goal;
- public work samples;
- before-and-after comparisons;
- client or manager testimonials;
- named responsibilities and deliverables;
- process artifacts;
- awards and credentials; and
- general claims.
A clean design does not prove accessibility or speed. Test contrast, keyboard usability, mobile layout, image alternatives, loading behavior, and motion preferences rather than assuming them.

How to show work when results or client details are confidential
- Replace the client name with a truthful description such as “B2B SaaS company” or “regional healthcare provider.”
- Use percentage changes rather than absolute revenue where permitted.
- Show redacted screenshots.
- Describe methodology without publishing proprietary targeting data.
- Use public campaigns and explain your actual role.
- Include personal experiments with a clear method and date range.
- Publish mock briefs or speculative campaigns, explicitly labeled as such.
- Ask former clients for permission to publish selected work.
- Separate public work, private case studies available on request, and selected results.
When metrics are unavailable, use conversion-copy comparisons, ranking movement with dates and target terms, production volume, campaign assets delivered, audience research, testing methodology, stakeholder feedback, process improvements, production-time reductions, qualified-lead changes, or public engagement data.
Visual-first, case-study-first, or hybrid?
| Format | Best for | Advantages | Risks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visual-first | Creative directors, brand marketers, campaign designers, social-content specialists | Immediate emotional impact and visible production quality | Can hide strategy, load slowly, or look impressive without proving effectiveness |
| Case-study-first | Growth, SEO, content strategy, product marketing, B2B, marketing operations | Explains thinking, contribution, and outcomes | Can become text-heavy and expose confidential information |
| Hybrid | Most marketers | Combines a concise project index with two to five detailed case studies | Requires disciplined information design |
For most marketers, the hybrid approach is the safest: a visual work index, two to five detailed case studies, clear positioning, a resume, and an obvious contact CTA.
Best platforms for a marketing portfolio
Choose the platform after deciding what your portfolio must communicate. A paid builder cannot repair weak positioning or missing proof.
| Need | Good direction | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Fast beginner launch | Wix or Squarespace | Less portability and recurring platform costs |
| Visual motion and interaction | Framer | Lower plans may limit structured CMS content |
| Detailed responsive design control | Webflow | More setup and a steeper learning curve |
| Writing and published work | Journo Portfolio | Less suitable for motion-heavy or complex agency work |
| Creative project gallery | Carbonmade or another visual-first builder | May provide less depth for SEO case studies and analytics |
| Maximum ownership | Self-hosted or static site | More responsibility for hosting, maintenance, and forms |
Wix
Wix suits beginners and freelancers who want templates, forms, SEO features, galleries, social integrations, and drag-and-drop flexibility. The supplied pricing snapshot lists a free tier and U.S.-reference paid prices of approximately $17.77 per month for Light, $29.77 for Core, $39.77 for Business, and $159.77 for Business Elite. These figures are displayed as yearly subscriptions paid in full, vary by location, exclude applicable taxes, and should be confirmed at checkout on the official Wix plans page.
It is a weaker fit when you need full code portability, unusually aggressive performance optimization, or a minimal static site without proprietary-platform costs and branding limitations.
Framer
Framer suits design-led portfolios with motion and polished interaction. The supplied pricing snapshot lists Free, Basic at $10 per month, Pro at $30 per month, and Enterprise custom pricing, subject to billing cycle and tax. Basic includes custom-domain connection, two CMS collections, 50 GB bandwidth, and built-in SEO in the cited snapshot. Confirm current limits and pricing on Framer’s official pricing page.
Choose something else if you need many structured case studies, complex editorial workflows, large-team governance, or more CMS capacity than the lower plans provide.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Webflow
Webflow suits designers, agencies, and marketers who want granular layout control, structured content, and sophisticated responsive behavior. Webflow distinguishes free Workspace access from paid Site plans, with differences in CMS, bandwidth, and branding. Exact costs should be checked on the official Webflow pricing page because plan availability and prices can change.
Squarespace
Squarespace is a managed, design-forward option for writers, consultants, and personal brands. Existing coverage highlights templates, galleries, video backgrounds, responsive editing, and customization. Current pricing was not verified in the supplied research, so do not quote a price without checking the official plans page at publication. It is a poor fit for readers who require a free-forever tier, extensive plugin flexibility, or maximum hosting portability.
Journo Portfolio
Journo Portfolio is well suited to content marketers, copywriters, journalists, and communications professionals with many published links. Its marketing examples directory shows how writers and communicators organize published work. Pricing was not verified in the research; check the provider’s current plans before publishing a price.
Carbonmade
Carbonmade suits creative professionals, advertising art directors, and visual campaign portfolios that need a straightforward project gallery. Paddy Geraghty’s Carbonmade portfolio is the supplied example. It may be less suitable for marketers who need extensive SEO case studies, advanced analytics, or structured editorial content.

Marketing portfolio checklist
- Does the homepage state your specialty, audience, and outcome?
- Can a visitor reach selected work in one click?
- Does every project explain the brief, role, deliverables, and result or learning?
- Are team contributions separated from your individual contribution?
- Do metrics include a baseline, timeframe, channel, goal, and attribution limits?
- Are speculative, student, volunteer, AI-assisted, and personal projects labeled?
- Do you have two to five strong case studies rather than dozens of weak samples?
- Is your resume easy to download?
- Is contact information visible without excessive navigation?
- Have you checked mobile layout, readable contrast, keyboard access, alt text, and motion?
- Have you tested forms, external links, social embeds, and media?
- Do client names, testimonials, screenshots, services, and dates remain current?
- Have you reviewed the site at least quarterly?
Before publishing any example list or screenshot, recheck portfolio availability, ownership, permissions, and attribution. A portfolio is a maintained sales and hiring asset—not a finished project.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many projects should a marketing portfolio include?
For most marketers, two to five detailed case studies plus a concise selected-work index is enough. Choose projects that support the role or client you want next, not every project you have ever completed.
Can I create a marketing portfolio without professional experience?
Yes. Use personal experiments, coursework, volunteer work, internships, mock briefs, and brand teardowns. Label speculative work clearly and never present hypothetical results as commercial outcomes.
What if I cannot share client names or metrics?
Anonymize the client truthfully, use redacted screenshots, describe the method, show public deliverables, and publish percentages or directional outcomes only when permitted. You can also offer private case studies on request.
Which platform is best for a marketing portfolio?
It depends on the work. Wix or Squarespace suit fast managed launches, Framer suits design-led motion, Webflow suits structured responsive sites, Journo Portfolio suits writing, and Carbonmade suits visual galleries. A simple self-hosted or static site can be sufficient too.
Should a marketing portfolio be visual or case-study-focused?
A hybrid is best for most marketers: a scannable visual project index followed by two to five case studies that explain the brief, role, decisions, deliverables, and results.
The Bottom Line
Use these examples to borrow structure, proof, positioning, or conversion ideas—not to imitate expensive visual effects. A portfolio that clearly explains your specialty, contribution, evidence, and next step will usually serve a recruiter or client better than a more elaborate site with less substance.
