Yes—VSCO Film 02 is a real preset pack for Adobe Lightroom. As of August 18, 2026, however, VSCO’s official documentation presents it as a benefit of an active VSCO One membership, not as a separately downloadable or one-time purchase. The earlier promotion that made Film 02 available to VSCO Pro members ended on March 31, 2026.
What VSCO Film 02 includes
Film 02 is a collection of film-emulation presets and camera profiles for Adobe Lightroom. It is not a Lightroom plug-in, a mobile VSCO filter pack, or the same thing as VSCO’s Lightroom integration with VSCO Studio.
VSCO currently lists these Film 02 looks:
- Fuji Neopan 1600
- Fuji Superia 100
- Fuji Superia 400
- Fuji Superia 800
- Fuji Superia 1600
- Ilford Delta 3200
- Kodak Portra 160 NC
- Kodak Portra 160 VC
- Kodak Portra 400 NC
- Kodak Portra 400 UC
- Kodak Portra 400 VC
The NC, VC, and UC Portra variants offer different interpretations of saturation and contrast. Superia is positioned by VSCO as a more consumer-film-inspired, nostalgic color family, while Neopan 1600 and Delta 3200 provide high-speed monochrome-inspired treatments with stronger grain and contrast. These are film-emulation starting points, not guaranteed reproductions of the original stocks on every camera or image.

VSCO’s current Lightroom lineup also includes Film 01, Film 05, and Film 07. The Lightroom and Capture One versions are separate products and are not interchangeable.

Is Film 02 still available?
Its availability changed after launch:
- February 2026: VSCO promoted Film 02 as a limited release for VSCO Pro members.
- March 31, 2026: that limited Pro-member availability ended.
- August 18, 2026: VSCO’s support documentation says the Lightroom Film packs are available exclusively to active VSCO One members.
The launch article may still contain “free for VSCO Pro members” messaging, but that promotion is no longer current. The most accurate present-day description is that Film 02 is available through VSCO One, subject to VSCO’s current terms and product availability.

Is it a standalone purchase?
Not according to VSCO’s current official documentation. Active VSCO One members can download the new Film packs as part of their membership, but VSCO does not currently document Film 02 as a separately priced, one-time preset purchase.

This does not prove that VSCO can never sell it separately in the future. It means that, as of August 18, 2026, the official buying model is membership access rather than an independent Film 02 product.
VSCO One price and value
VSCO’s U.S. pricing page, viewed August 18, 2026, lists VSCO One at $499.99 billed annually, displayed as $41.67 per month. The plan is annual-only and includes a 30-day cancellation or refund window subject to VSCO’s terms. Importantly, downloading Film presets ends that 30-day cancellation period for the current VSCO One term.
VSCO One is a broader professional-business membership, not a Film 02 subscription. It includes professional workflow features such as galleries, workspace, client tools, education, and the Film packs. That makes the economics straightforward:
- Potentially worthwhile: you already want VSCO One’s wider professional tools, need multiple VSCO packs, and specifically value Film 02’s camera profiles and film variants.
- Poor value: you want one inexpensive, permanent preset pack and have no use for the rest of VSCO One.
Do not treat the $499.99 annual membership as the normal price of a standalone preset pack. It is the price of access to a much broader service.
Lightroom compatibility
Lightroom Classic
VSCO’s installer supports Lightroom Classic. According to Adobe’s installation guidance, the installation can add presets, curves, and camera profiles to Lightroom Classic.
Lightroom desktop
The newer cloud-based Lightroom desktop application receives presets and curves through the installer, but camera profiles may need to be imported manually. Installation behavior can vary by operating system and installer version, so follow the guide included with the VSCO download first.
If the profiles are missing, Adobe documents this fallback:
- Open Lightroom.
- Select File > Import Profiles & Presets.
- Browse to the installed VSCO camera profiles.
- Select the profiles and click Import.
Adobe lists these typical profile locations:

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles
Use Adobe’s current preset and profile installation instructions if your application does not show the profiles after installation.

VSCO optimizes these presets for RAW files in Lightroom or Adobe Camera Raw. Camera-specific versions are intended to use profiles matched to supported cameras.
Choose the appropriate folder for your source file:
- Supported RAW camera: use the camera-specific preset and profile version.
- JPEG, phone image, or unsupported camera: use the Standard preset folder.
- Camera released before 2018: install or try VSCO’s Legacy Profiles if required.
The Standard version can still provide the tonal and color treatment, but it may not produce the same camera-specific rendering. Applying a profile intended for another camera can create an unusually strong or inaccurate result. Exposure, white balance, lighting, sensor characteristics, and subject matter also affect how any preset looks.
How to download and install Film 02
- Sign in to the VSCO account associated with your VSCO One membership at VSCO.co.
- Open VSCO’s Film Presets download page.
- Select Download for Adobe, if that is the label currently shown in the interface.
- Open the installation guide included with the download.
- Install the presets and profiles for your Lightroom version.
- Restart Lightroom or Adobe Camera Raw before checking the results.
The exact interface wording may change. The packaged VSCO guide should take priority over a remembered menu label, especially when installing on a different operating system.

Apply a Film 02 preset to a suitable image, then inspect Lightroom’s Profile area near the top of the editing controls. A camera-specific profile may appear with a name resembling Portra 400 UC C for a Canon camera.
Check the distinction between these problems:
- Preset missing: Film 02 does not appear in the preset browser.
- Profile missing: the preset applies, but the expected camera profile is unavailable.
- Unexpected look: the preset and profile are present, but the image, exposure, white balance, or camera support is unsuitable.
Troubleshooting
The preset does not appear
- Restart Lightroom.
- Confirm that you installed the Adobe download rather than a Capture One version.
- Reinstall the pack using the included guide.
- Check that the files were installed into the correct Lightroom application or catalog.
- For Lightroom desktop, use File > Import Profiles & Presets if manual import is required.
The preset appears, but the result looks wrong
- Use a RAW file where possible.
- Use the Standard folder for JPEGs, phone images, and unsupported cameras.
- Check that Lightroom selected the intended camera profile.
- Adjust exposure and white balance before judging the preset.
- Do not assume every image will match the preview or produce a finished grade without further editing.
The camera profile is missing
- Reinstall both the presets and profiles.
- On Lightroom desktop, manually import the profiles from Adobe’s documented CameraProfiles location.
- Try the Standard version if your camera is not supported.
- Install Legacy Profiles for cameras released before 2018.
- Restart Lightroom after importing the profiles.
You have an old Film 02 download
Do not rely on unofficial copies or redistribute the files. VSCO says its older packs are unsupported and that redistribution is not allowed. Downloading a file from an unofficial source also leaves its provenance and compatibility uncertain.

VSCO says downloaded presets remain usable after membership ends. Download the presets before cancellation and retain the downloaded files.
This does not necessarily guarantee that you can redownload them later after changing your account or membership. Check VSCO’s current terms and account policies before cancelling if future access to the download page matters.
Can owners of old VSCO Film packs upgrade?
No automatic upgrade should be expected. VSCO says previous Lightroom purchases remain separate and do not unlock the new release. It does not offer upgrades, discounts, or exchanges for those purchases. VSCO also says legacy packs purchased before 2019 were discontinued in March 2019 and are no longer supported.
In practical terms, owning an old Film pack is not a route to obtaining the current Film 02 release.
Is Film 02 worth it?
Film 02 makes the most sense when you specifically want its classic VSCO aesthetic, work mainly with supported RAW cameras, process large batches, and already have a reason to use VSCO One’s broader professional platform.
It is difficult to justify VSCO One if Film 02 is the only feature you want. The annual U.S. price is high for a photographer seeking a single, independently owned preset pack. Lightroom’s own included presets are the more economical first option if you already subscribe to Adobe and do not need Film 02’s exact film families or camera profiles.

Alternatives
Adobe Lightroom’s included presets
Lightroom’s built-in presets require no additional VSCO membership if you already use Adobe. They will not reproduce Film 02’s exact profiles, variants, or organization, but they avoid adding a second subscription.
VSCO Film 01, Film 05, and Film 07
These are other current VSCO Lightroom packs available through the same membership model. Film 01 emphasizes restrained professional color and black-and-white stocks; Film 05 leans toward warmer consumer-film and point-and-shoot character; Film 07 covers portrait, everyday, and monochrome-oriented looks.
VSCO Film for Capture One
Capture One users should choose VSCO’s separately built Capture One product rather than trying to install Lightroom files. VSCO says the products are separate and not interchangeable. Capture One is a platform alternative, not a way to obtain the Lightroom Film 02 pack.
VSCO Studio and mobile editing
VSCO’s web and mobile tools may suit photographers who want its wider editing ecosystem. The Lightroom integration with VSCO Studio connects workflows; it is not the same as installing Film 02 as native Lightroom presets.
Bottom line
VSCO Film 02 is currently available for Adobe Lightroom through VSCO One, not as a documented standalone purchase. The old VSCO Pro promotion ended March 31, 2026. Before subscribing, confirm that you need the broader VSCO One platform—not just one preset pack—and verify your Lightroom edition, camera support, and RAW workflow.
