To download multiple Canva pages as one attachment, export the design as a PDF: open it, choose Share → Download, select PDF Standard for digital sharing or PDF Print for printing, include the pages you need, then download. Canva saves the selected pages together in one PDF rather than as separate image files. The exact controls can vary by device and interface.

Download all pages as one PDF

This works when the pages are part of the same Canva design. Canva’s export guidance places the download option under Share → Download and identifies PDF as an option for multi-page layouts. See Canva’s export guidance.

  1. Open the multi-page design in Canva.
  2. Review the page thumbnails. Drag pages into the order you want, and remove any blank or accidental pages.
  3. Select Share, then Download. Labels or placement may differ by device or interface version.
  4. For File type, choose PDF Standard or PDF Print.
  5. If Canva presents a page selector, choose All pages or select the pages or range you want.
  6. Select Download. Open the resulting PDF and check its page count and order before attaching it.

A PDF is a single file containing pages in sequence, suitable for emailing, uploading, or sharing without asking the recipient to open Canva. By contrast, PNG or JPG exports are image files, not a conventional multi-page document; depending on the export workflow, multiple images may be downloaded separately or packaged together.

Choose PDF Standard or PDF Print

Export Best for Trade-off
PDF Standard Email, online submissions, and digital reading on phones or computers Generally a more practical choice for digital sharing; file size depends on the design.
PDF Print Brochures, flyers, menus, portfolios, and other documents intended for printing Can produce a larger file; actual size varies with page count, imagery, fonts, transparency, and settings.

Use the receiving organization’s instructions if it specifies a format or print requirements. PDF export is listed on Canva’s plan comparison; a premium element in a design can still trigger a separate payment or access prompt.

Download only selected pages

Some Canva interfaces show a Select pages, page-range, or checkbox control during export; others may include every page automatically. If a selector appears, choose All pages for the complete design or mark only the pages you want. The PDF will contain the selected pages in their chosen order.

If the result has only one page, check whether the selector was set to a single page or range. Also confirm that the other pages are in this design, rather than in a separate Canva file. Open the PDF in a full PDF viewer and inspect its page count instead of relying only on a quick preview.

Combine pages from separate Canva designs

If your pages are currently spread across multiple designs, first copy them into one design, then export that consolidated design as a PDF. Canva documents copying a page between designs through the editor’s Projects → Designs workflow in its page-merging help.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Open or create the design that will hold the final document.
  2. Add a page where the copied content should go.
  3. In the editor, open Projects, then Designs.
  4. Choose the other design and select the page to copy. Repeat for each page you need.
  5. Reorder the consolidated pages and check the layout, fonts, spacing, links, and other elements.
  6. Export the consolidated design using the PDF steps above.

Copied content may not behave exactly like native elements in the destination design. Check the exported PDF, especially if the pages use unusual fonts, transparency, hyperlinks, or animated or embedded media.

Should you flatten the PDF?

Flattening is optional; it is not required just to put multiple pages in one file. Canva describes flattening as merging design layers into a simpler, more static structure. It can help preserve a finished design’s appearance, but it reduces editability and may increase file size. See Canva’s flatten-PDF overview.

  • Consider flattening when the design is final, the recipient should not edit individual elements, or you need to test whether a static export resolves a visual rendering issue.
  • Leave it unflattened when you need selectable text, links, interactive features, text extraction, accessibility review, or easier revision.

To use the option, Canva’s localized help describes this route: open the design, select Share → Download, choose PDF Standard or PDF Print, check Flatten PDF if shown, then download. Labels may vary by locale and interface version. Canva may prompt for payment if the design includes paid elements. See its flattened-PDF download guidance.

Download one PDF on mobile

  1. Open the design in the Canva app.
  2. Tap the Share icon, then Download.
  3. Choose a PDF format and select pages if the app offers a page-selection option.
  4. Tap Download or the available save/share control, then open the saved PDF to verify it.

Button placement and labels can differ between the app and desktop, and can change over time.

Fix common download problems

Canva downloaded separate images or a ZIP

PNG or JPG was likely selected, or the pages were downloaded as individual images. Return to Share → Download, choose PDF Standard or PDF Print, and select the pages you want in the one document.

The PDF is missing pages

Check the page selector for a single-page choice or range, then confirm that the missing pages belong to the same design. If pages are in separate designs, consolidate them first. Open the file in a PDF viewer to verify the actual page count.

A premium element blocks the download

Canva may ask for payment or access when a design contains paid content. Replace the element with a free alternative, obtain the needed access or license, or resolve the prompt before exporting. This does not mean a paid plan is always required just to export a multi-page PDF; Canva lists PDF export in its plan comparison.

The PDF is too large to attach

  • Try PDF Standard for digital delivery instead of PDF Print.
  • Remove unnecessary high-resolution images or other content that can be reduced.
  • Use a reputable PDF-compression tool after export, or split the document if the receiving service requires it.
  • If permitted, upload the file to cloud storage and send a sharing link.

Attachment limits depend on the email provider and recipient organization, so check the limit for the service you are using.

Fonts or layout look wrong

First confirm that the design renders correctly in Canva. Open the exported file in another PDF viewer and inspect the affected pages. For a finished document, you can test a flattened export, but check that text selection, links, and other required functions still work. Canva notes that flattening can affect editability and file size in its flatten-PDF guidance.

Links, animation, or media do not work as expected

A standard PDF is a static document, not a substitute for an animated presentation or video. Test hyperlinks in the actual exported file, and do not assume video, audio, forms, or other interactive behavior will carry over. Flattening may further limit functionality. If the recipient needs to edit the design, share it through Canva with suitable permissions or provide a compatible presentation export instead.

The design will not accept more pages

Canva’s page-management guidance in a Spanish-language locale has listed a 350-page limit for a design; that figure may not apply to every design type, region, or current interface. If Canva stops you from adding pages, split the project into separate designs and combine the resulting PDFs if one file is still required. The guidance is at Canva’s page-management help.

Check the attachment before sending

  • Confirm the PDF has the expected page count and sequence.
  • Check text, images, margins, and bleed if the document is for print.
  • Test hyperlinks and confirm whether text is selectable if those features matter.
  • Give the file a clear name, such as Company-Proposal-Final.pdf, and attach that PDF.
