Blokify is a free 3D modeling app that lets beginners build objects by placing virtual blocks. It pairs guided projects with a Free Play mode and can export finished models as STL or OBJ files for use in a separate 3D-printing workflow. Blokify is available on iOS and Android; a printer is optional if you only want to design on screen.
What is Blokify?
Blokify is a block-based 3D modeling app from Sesher Inc. Instead of drawing precise geometry or learning conventional CAD tools, users assemble a model by placing blocks in a 3D space. Blue guide blocks indicate where to place the next pieces in guided builds; after learning the controls, users can switch to Free Play and make their own designs.
The app is designed to make 3D modeling approachable, particularly for beginners and younger users. Its themed building parts include castle, space, and city settings, among others. Users can save their models, browse a community gallery, and share creations.

In guided projects, blue blocks show the next placement. Completing a section reveals the way forward, so a new user can learn the building interaction one step at a time.

Create in Free Play
Free Play is for original models rather than a prescribed sequence. It is the natural next step after a user has become comfortable placing and arranging blocks.
Use a design challenge
Blokify’s educational activities frame building as a design problem, not an exercise with one correct answer. For example, a learner might design a castle’s fortress gates, plan a moon base, or improve a city block. A practical activity loop is to name the problem, sketch or describe possible shapes, build a quick version, rotate it to inspect it, change one element, and explain the final design.

Is Blokify free, and what devices support it?
Sesher says Blokify is free on iOS and Android. Apple lists it as an Education app for iPhone and iPad, with a 4+ age rating and an iOS 15.0-or-later requirement. The App Store listing gives the app size as 302.5 MB. At the time Apple’s listing was checked, it said there were not enough ratings to display an overview.

Can you 3D print a Blokify model?
Yes. Blokify can export models as STL or OBJ files. To make a physical object, export the model and use a slicer and printer workflow compatible with the file and the equipment you choose. Blokify does not require a particular printer, and its publisher does not endorse a specific brand or model.
A 3D printer is not required to use the app: you can model, save, and share creations digitally. If your goal is a physical print, you will need access to a compatible printer and the separate software or process needed to prepare the exported file for that printer.

Is Blokify a good fit for children, families, or groups?
Its block-placement controls and visual guidance make Blokify a reasonable starting point for children and other first-time modelers. Apple’s 4+ rating is a store age rating, not a guarantee that every activity is suitable for every child; families should consider the child’s needs and supervise use as appropriate.

How does Blokify compare with conventional 3D modeling tools?
Blokify’s main advantage is its approachable, guided block interaction. That makes it useful for learning basic spatial thinking and exploring simple designs. Its block-based approach is different from conventional CAD, where users work with more precise geometry and technical tools; the available sources do not establish that Blokify offers the same precision or capabilities as professional CAD software.
Choose based on the task: Blokify suits guided exploration and open-ended block builds, while a more technical project may call for a tool designed around precise modeling. If printing is part of the plan, confirm that the chosen app’s export formats fit the slicer and printer workflow you intend to use.
