Swatch’s Swatch x Guggenheim collection is a four-watch chapter of its broader Art Journey, pairing designs inspired by paintings by Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Paul Klee and Jackson Pollock. Swatch announced and released the watches on January 15, 2026, with availability through its online store and stores worldwide. Here is what each watch draws from its artwork, and what Swatch says distinguishes the designs.
What is the Swatch x Guggenheim collection?
The collection brings together Swatch, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. It is one part of Swatch’s larger Art Journey initiative, rather than the name for every Swatch art collaboration. The initiative’s other collaborations include Tate, Basquiat, MoMA, Magritte, Louvre Abu Dhabi and Uffizi.
Swatch announced the four Guggenheim watches on January 15, 2026, and said they were available online and in its stores worldwide from that date. The launch release described the shared double-length second hand as a reference to the transatlantic connection between New York and Venice.

Each watch is named for an artist or artwork, and the paintings are translated differently across the dial and strap. These descriptions reflect Swatch’s launch and product-page information.

What are the clearest differences between the designs?
Monet and Klee add a changing visual feature
MONET’S PALAZZO DUCALE has the collection’s explicitly described UV-responsive detail: its dial glows orange after exposure to ultraviolet light. KLEE’S BAVARIAN DON GIOVANNI has a calendar wheel that changes the color visible in its window each day.
Degas and Pollock emphasize the artwork’s imagery
Swatch’s descriptions of DEGAS’S DANCERS and POLLOCK’S ALCHEMY focus on how the source artwork is carried onto the watch. Degas’s dancers are echoed in the dial and strap; Pollock’s poured-paint composition spans the dial and strap. The launch information does not identify an additional special function for either design.

What did the watches cost in the US?
On Swatch’s official US product pages viewed October 3, 2026, two watches were listed at $110 and two at $120. These are US list prices displayed on that date, not a promise of current price or stock.

How does this launch fit with Swatch’s other art watches?
The Guggenheim collaboration is a distinct four-watch release within the broader Swatch Art Journey. It should not be confused with the Swatch Art Peace Hotel Collection, a separate release announced September 24, 2026, comprising six watches by six artists from China.
At the January launch, Carlo Giordanetti, a member of Swatch AG’s Management team and CEO of the Swatch Art Peace Hotel, said: “We could not be prouder of the collaboration with Guggenheim: it is a wonderful, true highlight of the Swatch Art Journey.”
