Choose a style and file format that fit your project
Pick the look first
A compact tree icon works well when you need a simple symbol. A tree-planting illustration better suits a scene or message about planting. A decorative tree graphic offers a different visual treatment. The listings do not establish one style as best; choose based on how the artwork will appear in your design.

Use a vector when you need to resize or edit paths
SVG, AI, CDR, and EPS are vector formats. A vector file is generally the appropriate choice when you need to scale artwork or edit its paths, provided your software supports the format. A PNG is a raster image: it may be convenient for a project that needs a fixed-size image, but it is not the same as an editable vector. The SVG Repo listing provides PNG exports at three stated dimensions as well as an SVG; check the individual page for the available download options.

A platform’s general license statement does not establish the terms for every image it hosts. These three listings make asset-level claims: SVG Repo labels its cited icon CC0; FreeSVG.org describes its tree-planting illustration as public domain and says the site offers SVG images under CC0 terms; and Shmector labels its listing CC0 1.0 Universal while including an attribution request. Read the current listing before use and follow any attribution wording shown there.

FreeSVG.org’s page says of its stated public-domain material: “You can copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission.” Treat this as the site’s explanation for the material covered by that page, not a guarantee about unrelated files or a legal conclusion for every jurisdiction. Before commercial use, make sure the downloaded file is the one covered by the license claim and keep a record of the asset page and its terms.
