Made on the Left’s next Christmas Market is scheduled for Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026, from 10am to 5pm at Esplanade Park in Fremantle. Entry is free. The “16 years” milestone belongs to the 2024 edition: the Western Australian creative organisation was founded in 2008.
When and where is the 2026 Made on the Left Christmas Market?
The organiser lists the market for Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026, 10am–5pm, at Esplanade Park, Marine Terrace, Fremantle. The City of Fremantle’s November 2026 events calendar also includes a Made on the Left market at Esplanade Reserve, corroborating the venue area.
Event details can change, so check the organiser’s 2026 event page before travelling.

Is entry free?
Yes. Public entry is free, according to the organiser’s 2026 event listing. The separate $200-per-day fee shown on its application page is for a 3m × 3m stall space for exhibitors, not visitors.

What can visitors expect to find?
The organiser expects more than 100 Western Australian artists and designers, with products across contemporary fashion, jewellery, art, ceramics, homewares, skincare and gifts. Its application information also names candles, accessories, food and beverages. The event page describes gourmet food trucks and artisan treats, and says the market is family- and pet-friendly.
Made on the Left’s point of difference is its emphasis on independent WA makers. The organisation says it was founded in 2008 to support local creative talent. It describes its selection as juried, focusing on originality, quality and craftsmanship; its application FAQ says products should be unique, high-quality items designed and made by the artist in Western Australia. The organiser also says it rotates stallholders to avoid too many similar offerings. These criteria describe the selection process, but do not establish that every item at the market is entirely handmade; shoppers can ask individual stallholders about a product’s design and making.

Why was the 2024 market described as a 16-year milestone?
The 16-year reference applies to the 2024 edition, not the upcoming 2026 market. PerthNow reported on 19 October 2024 that the not-for-profit organisation was formed by independent designers in 2008. The organiser’s current account also dates its founding to 2008. Its 2026 listing uses the name “Made on the Left 2026 Christmas Market” rather than presenting that edition as a 16th anniversary.
PerthNow’s 2024 report said more than 100 local creatives were expected that year. The organiser separately expects more than 100 artists and designers for 2026. One participating maker quoted in the 2024 report was Jo Riley of Coastal West Creative, who said she had been involved since 2018 and made beach-themed Christmas cards and coasters using her photographs of local beaches.
