What’s in the April 2024 issue?
The publisher’s issue page features a mix of bed quilts, throws, wall pieces, and smaller projects. These examples show the variety of styles and formats in the collection:
- Farmhouse Retreat: Susan Vaughan’s bed-size quilt pairs bright florals with an airy chambray background.
- Heart of the Home: Sherri L. McConnell’s Log Cabin quilt uses hearts, stars, and houses in the block centers.
- Birds & Buds: Corinne Sovey’s spring wall hanging features hummingbirds and flowers.
- Garden Gems: Kim Watson’s abstract flowers use pink and green.
- Checkerboard Stars: Candy Hargrove’s throw includes more than 100 hand-pieced stars made from Jo Morton fabric scraps.
- Designer Challenge: Weathervane Block: Joanna Figueroa made a traditional version, while Alison Glass made a modern version.
Smaller companion projects include Hop to It, a table runner inspired by Farmhouse Retreat; Cabin Welcome, a door banner inspired by Heart of the Home; and a boxed Pin Pillow pincushion inspired by Checkerboard Stars. Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The issue page names fabrics used in several projects, including Fruit Cocktail and Moda Chambray for Farmhouse Retreat, Strawberry Lemonade for Heart of the Home, and Camellia for Garden Gems. These identify the original project palettes; they do not confirm that the collections are still available. If you’re substituting, compare the pattern’s fabric requirements and the effect of the original prints and colors, then check current stock.
How to get the issue or a featured pattern
