The Argos Home Recycling Bag – Black offers four separate compartments in a soft-sided design that the retailer says folds flat when not in use. It holds 38 litres, but measures 45 cm high × 25 cm wide × 35 cm deep, so check the full footprint against your available kitchen space before buying.
What the Argos Home recycling bag offers
Argos lists product number 848/6059 as a polyester recycling bag with four compartments. Unlike a rigid multi-bin unit, it is soft-sided; the four sections let you separate materials as you add them, rather than putting everything in one place to sort later. That is a practical distinction, but the product listing does not specify which material belongs in each compartment.
Argos says the bag pops up in minutes and folds flat when space is needed. Treat that as the retailer’s product description, not an independently tested result. The fold-flat format may help when you want to put the container away between uses, though it still needs somewhere to stand while full.

Dimensions and capacity: measure before choosing a spot
| Specification | Argos listing |
|---|---|
| Height | 45 cm |
| Width | 25 cm |
| Depth | 35 cm |
| Capacity | 38 litres |
| Material | Polyester |
| Compartments | Four |
The 35 cm depth matters: although the bag is only 25 cm wide, it is not a shallow container. Measure the intended spot, including room to access the compartments and lift out recycling. The 38-litre figure is the listed total capacity; the retailer does not state how that volume is divided among the four sections.

Is a four-compartment bag right for your recycling?
Four sections are useful only if they match how you want to sort waste and the materials your local collection service accepts. The Argos listing and Ideal Home article do not map specific materials to each compartment or establish local authority rules. Check your council’s current guidance, then decide whether four separate streams suit your household; do not assume every area collects the same materials in the same way.

Also consider whether an open soft-sided container suits the waste you plan to store. The sources do not establish that this bag has a lid or odour control, so it should not be treated as a sealed food-waste caddy.
