Start with the manufacturer-approved TPI Showroom listing on Bimstore. It covers commercial toilet, shower, urinal and privacy partitions, is identified as Revit 2022 content, and shows a last-updated date of 14 January 2026. Use it alongside TPI’s product-specification pages, then check the selected configuration, dimensions, fixing and wet-area suitability with the supplier before issuing a project specification.

Cubispec and Rynat provide additional Australian supplier routes for drawings or Revit files. Their published material is useful for early coordination, but supplier claims, catalogue dates and model availability should be confirmed for the project and download date.

What these Revit models are—and what they are not

Toilet and shower partition families are digital coordination components for laying out cubicles, doors, panels, supports and associated clearances in an Autodesk Revit project. They help an architect or designer test room planning, quantify broad panel arrangements, coordinate services and communicate an intended partition system before fabrication.

A family is not automatically a certified shop drawing. A rendered object can omit project-specific substrate conditions, tolerances, seals, brackets, backing, service penetrations, accessibility clearances or the exact hardware selected for the job. Treat the model as a coordination and specification aid until the supplier confirms the current technical data and the final installation arrangement.

Washable and reusable for multiple projects.

The useful distinction is between content and specification. BIM content describes how an object behaves and appears in the model. Specification information establishes materials, dimensions, fixing, performance and installation requirements. You need both to document a partition system responsibly.

Best starting point: TPI’s Australian partition content

TPI describes itself as an Australian specialist in Australian-made toilet and shower partitions, privacy screens and benches, with services spanning design, sourcing, manufacture and installation. Its company description is available at tpi.net.au.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Its product-specification and BIM page groups a broad range of toilet cubicle and shower configurations, including floor-mounted, pedestal-mounted, blade-mounted, full-height, ceiling-suspended and overhead-braced systems. Review the configuration families at TPI product specifications before choosing a generic-looking object. The support arrangement affects the model’s set-out, structural assumptions, cleaning gaps and coordination with slabs, ceilings and walls.

The manufacturer-approved TPI Showroom listing on Bimstore identifies content for commercial toilet cubicles and wet-area joinery, including toilet, shower, urinal and privacy partitions. The listing specifies Autodesk Revit 2022 and reports “Last Updated 14/01/2026.” That date is metadata for the listing, not a promise that every family has been updated for the newest Revit release or that every manufacturer option is represented.

What to inspect in a TPI family

  • Host and support logic: determine whether the family expects a floor, pedestal, blade, ceiling or overhead-brace condition.
  • Type parameters: look for panel thickness, door handing, return panels, pilasters, gaps and hardware options rather than relying on the default type.
  • Visibility settings: test coarse, medium and fine detail and the family’s plan, elevation and 3D visibility before issuing drawings.
  • Schedules: check whether dimensions and identifiers are exposed as usable parameters; do not assume that a visually accurate family will produce a complete panel or hardware schedule.
  • Version behavior: test the Revit 2022 file in the office release, and retain the original download separately from any upgraded project copy.

Supplier paths beyond TPI

Cubispec Podium The Podium page says Revit drawings are available for architects and designers. Pedestal-mounted, headrail-braced toilet and shower cubicles; 13 mm compact laminate and dry-area board options; concealed-fix hardware and optional rebated doors. Request the current drawing/model package and confirm whether the selected board option is appropriate for the wet-area exposure.
Rynat The Rynat partitioning catalogue states that Revit files are available for all partition types. 13 mm compact-laminate, pedestal-mounted, ceiling-fixed cubicle systems for toilet and shower applications. The PDF is catalogue material hosted in a URL containing a 2021 directory. Recheck current dimensions, warranty, availability and downloads directly with Rynat.
ARCAT ARCAT’s BIM library lists toilet-partition and shower-cubicle BIM items in Revit and other formats. Useful for understanding common library categories and file formats. The listing is not evidence of Australian manufacture, local compliance or suitability for an Australian project.

Choose the support configuration before downloading a family

Partition appearance can be similar while the engineering and coordination consequences differ. Match the family to the support condition that the room and structure can actually provide.

Floor-mounted

Floor-mounted systems transfer support at the slab or finished floor. Coordinate finished-floor build-ups, waterproofing, falls, skirtings and cleaning access. Confirm whether the family models only a visual foot or the actual fixing and base detail.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Pedestal-mounted

A pedestal-mounted arrangement raises the partition line above the floor on supports. It can simplify cleaning beneath panels, but the pedestal, headrail and fixing positions must align with the slab, waterproofing strategy and finished levels. Cubispec describes its Podium system as pedestal-mounted and headrail-braced.

Blade-mounted

Blade systems use narrow projecting panels or blades to define privacy or separate fixtures. Check the blade’s fixing edge, adjacent wall or panel support and the clear width left for circulation and door operation.

Ceiling-suspended or ceiling-fixed

These systems rely on the ceiling or an overhead structure. Verify that the proposed ceiling build-up can receive the loads and that services, access panels, seismic requirements and fire details are coordinated. A ceiling graphic in a family does not prove that the real ceiling has adequate backing.

Overhead-braced and full-height

Overhead braces stabilize partitions where floor support alone is insufficient. Full-height systems extend the partition line higher and can change ventilation, cleaning, fire and service coordination. TPI’s Full Height shower page describes a floor-anchored system available in compact laminate and identifies maximum height, nominal depth, openings, seat and splash-nib dimensions. It also shows Metlam Sera door-furniture options and TPI’s Modulux privacy option. Use the page to identify the configuration, then obtain the current dimensional schedule rather than copying an unverified value into the model.

Material and wet-area checks

Material selection is a design decision, not a texture choice. Compact laminate is commonly presented for demanding wet-area work, while a dry-area board option needs a different exposure assessment. Cubispec’s Podium information lists 13 mm compact laminate and dry-area board options; do not assume the dry-area option is interchangeable with the wet-area one.

  • Confirm the board type and thickness in the supplier’s current technical documentation.
  • Ask how exposed edges, penetrations, cut-outs and joints are sealed.
  • Coordinate shower falls, floor wastes, waterproofing upstands and splash zones.
  • Check whether seats, nibs, pilasters and doors use the same material and finish as the main panels.
  • Record the selected finish, colour and hardware in the specification instead of leaving the family’s default appearance as the design intent.

TPI’s full-height shower information identifies compact laminate and calls out door-furniture and privacy options. The page does not, by itself, replace a project-specific wet-area detail or installation confirmation.

Dimensions, openings and privacy details to verify

Partition families often contain nominal dimensions that are easy to mistake for a coordinated room layout. Verify each of the following against the current supplier schedule:

  • Overall height, panel depth and return lengths.
  • Clear door opening, door swing and handing.
  • Set-out between pilasters and the finished wall face.
  • Gaps at the floor, ceiling, wall and adjacent panels.
  • Seat, splash-nib and accessory clearances in shower compartments.
  • Headrail, brace, pedestal and bracket positions.
  • Door hardware, indicator bolts, hinges and pull options.
  • Accessible-compartment dimensions and transfer clearances required by the project’s applicable standards and authority approvals.

A family can help you test these relationships, but the final clearances must be checked in the project context. A supplier’s nominal depth is not automatically the clear opening, and a modelled door leaf does not establish accessibility compliance.

Workflow: from download to coordinated documentation

  1. Define the room brief. Record fixture count, toilet versus shower use, wet or dry exposure, privacy level, accessible compartments, ceiling type and the expected finished-floor level.
  2. Shortlist the support condition. Select floor, pedestal, blade, ceiling, overhead-braced or full-height logic before searching for a family. Reject a visually similar family that depends on a different support method.
  3. Download from the supplier or manufacturer-approved library. Save the original file, listing URL, stated Revit version and download date in the project record.
  4. Audit the family in a test project. Load it into a clean file and inspect plan, elevation, section, 3D and schedule views. Check units, origin, insertion point, nested components, materials and type names.
  5. Set real project levels and grids. Place the family against the finished floor, wall finishes and ceiling datum. Do not leave it at a generic level and adjust annotations around it.
  6. Build the compartment layout. Use the family to coordinate panel lines, doors, returns, braces, pedestals, seats and splash nibs. Keep room tags and fixture locations linked to the actual project geometry.
  7. Compare the model with technical documentation. Cross-check dimensions, board thickness, hardware, fixing and options against the supplier’s current drawings. Flag any item not represented in the family.
  8. Run coordination checks. Review door swings, circulation, services, waterproofing, ceiling support, access panels, fire and structural interfaces. Resolve clashes before issuing a tender or construction set.
  9. Issue a controlled specification. Identify the supplier, system name, material, thickness, finish, support type, hardware, accessories and required shop-drawing approval. State that fabrication must follow approved supplier documentation.
  10. Archive the decision. Keep the downloaded family, technical sheets, correspondence and superseded versions so later model updates do not silently change the specified system.

Revit version and content-management pitfalls

Assuming “Revit” means the latest release

The Bimstore listing identifies Revit 2022. Opening or upgrading that content in a later release can be practical, but it creates a new project copy and may alter parameters or behavior. Test the upgraded family in a controlled file and retain the original.

Using a generic family as a manufacturer substitute

Generic cubicle geometry can be useful during concept design, but replace it with the selected manufacturer content before documenting hardware, fixing and schedules. If no suitable family exists, model only the information needed for coordination and attach the supplier’s current drawings as the authority for fabrication.

Trusting a rendered material

A laminate texture does not prove board type, edge treatment, moisture suitability or colour availability. Put the actual material and finish in the specification and verify it with the supplier.

Ignoring nested or hidden components

Doors, hinges, brackets and braces may be nested, detail-level dependent or hidden in particular views. Inspect visibility settings and create a representative section before relying on the family for documentation.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Failing to check origin and units

An incorrect insertion point or unit conversion can shift a partition relative to walls and fixtures. Place a test instance beside known dimensions and verify a door width, panel thickness and overall height before populating the project.

How to request missing or current files

When a supplier page says drawings or Revit files are available, send a concise request that names the exact system and project conditions. Ask for the current Revit version, plan/elevation/section drawings, technical data, finishes, hardware schedule, fixing details, maximum and nominal dimensions, and any accessible-compartment options. For Rynat, specifically ask the supplier to confirm that the catalogue information and “Revit files available for all partition types” statement still apply, because the cited catalogue is older. For Cubispec, identify whether you need the Podium toilet, shower or both, and whether the 13 mm compact laminate or dry-area board option is intended.

Request confirmation in writing when the family omits a detail that affects construction: slab anchors, headrail brackets, ceiling backing, waterproofing interfaces, rebated doors, seats, splash nibs or privacy accessories. Keep that response with the model and specification.

Decision checklist for an Australian project

  • Is the supplier and system available for the project location and procurement program?
  • Does the family represent the required toilet, shower, urinal or privacy-partition configuration?
  • Does the support method match the slab, wall and ceiling conditions?
  • Is the selected board and edge treatment suitable for the exposure?
  • Are clear openings, door swings, accessible clearances and fixture relationships coordinated?
  • Are hardware, seats, splash nibs, braces, pedestals and privacy options specified?
  • Is the Revit version tested in the office’s production release?
  • Have current supplier drawings and project-specific fixing details been approved?
  • Are model assumptions clearly separated from fabrication information?

Using general BIM libraries without losing Australian context

General libraries such as ARCAT can help you understand how toilet-partition and shower-cubicle objects are commonly classified and distributed. They should not be treated as proof of Australian manufacture, local availability, local code compliance or compatibility with an Australian supplier’s fixing system. Start with an identified Australian supplier when procurement, warranty, installation and local support matter; use general-library content only when its limitations are explicit.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The same principle applies to international manufacturer resource pages. BIM, CAD and technical-data groupings are useful patterns for organizing a request, but the project team still needs the local product, current specification and confirmed installation details.

What a good deliverable contains

A coordinated partition package should let another project participant understand both the model and the limits of the model. Include the selected supplier and system, Revit family name and version, panel material and thickness, finish, mounting method, door and hardware options, nominal and critical dimensions, fixing assumptions, accessible-compartment requirements, and a note requiring supplier shop-drawing approval.

For tender or construction documentation, pair plans and elevations with enlarged wet-area and support details. Show the interfaces that a family commonly abstracts away: floor anchors, pedestals, headrails, braces, wall returns, ceiling backing, waterproofing and service penetrations. That combination is more reliable than adding more visual detail to an unverified object.
