AI image-generation tools can create or edit artwork for blog posts and social media, but the right workflow depends on where the image will appear and what that placement requires. Banner-GPT itself remains unverified: the available research does not establish that it is a working product, so check any claims about it against current official documentation before relying on them.
For any tool, choose settings for the intended placement, review the result in context, write useful alternative text, and make any disclosure required by the platform or applicable policy. Do not assume a prompt alone gives you copyright in an image or that provenance metadata will remain intact after editing or posting.

How to make an AI image for a blog post or social post
- Choose the placement. Decide whether you need a blog hero or featured image, an in-article illustration, or an image for a social post. Check the target theme or platform’s current image guidance rather than assuming one set of dimensions works everywhere.
- Choose a suitable tool and settings. Image tools differ in the models, dimensions, aspect ratios, formats, quality settings, editing features, and background support they offer. Check the current documentation for the tool you plan to use.
- Write a focused brief. Describe the subject, intended audience, visual style, composition, and any important constraints. If text must appear in the final asset, consider adding it with a design tool after generating the artwork.
- Generate or edit a draft. Use reference images or editing controls if they suit the task. Do not assume a single prompt will produce a ready-to-publish image.
- Review the result in context. Check visual details, factual accuracy, text rendering, brand consistency, and how the image looks at its actual size and crop. OpenAI’s image-generation guidance recommends evaluating results with representative prompts and inputs; results depend on the model and workflow.
- Prepare the asset. Save an appropriate version for the placement and keep available provenance information where practical. Preview the crop in the publishing interface before posting.
- Add accessibility and disclosure information. Write alternative text that explains the image’s relevant content. Apply any AI disclosure required by your platform or policy before publishing.
- Make a final human review. OpenAI’s sharing and publication policy says: “Manually review each generation before sharing or while streaming.” Follow the policy that applies to your tool and destination.
What to check before publishing
Composition, text and cropping
Review the image at the size and crop readers will see. Look for misplaced focal subjects, visual errors, confusing details, and lettering that is misspelled or unreadable. If an image must fit a particular blog theme or social placement, preview it there; there is no universal banner dimension established by this research.
Alternative text on X
On X, use the image-description or ALT control to describe what matters in the image. X recommends concise, objective descriptions, including a description or summary of text shown in the image where relevant. Its Help Center guidance states a limit of 1,000 characters. The description should explain the image’s useful content in context, not simply say that it was AI-generated.
AI disclosure and provenance
Disclosure requirements depend on the platform and policy; do not treat one service’s policy as a universal rule. OpenAI’s sharing policy asks users covered by that policy to attribute content to themselves or their company and make clear that it is AI-generated.

Such signals can be lost or become undetectable through transformations such as copying, screenshots, conversion, cropping, or compression. They do not replace a visible notice where one is required.
