That is one customer’s experience, not a durability test or a prediction for every patio, sidewalk, driveway or garage. The same retail page includes reports of peeling, including after vehicle exposure. The useful takeaway is what this reviewer observed, alongside the limits of using an isolated review to choose a coating.

The review was posted on June 17, 2026. MICKY said an earlier coat had been applied to a concrete patio and sidewalk about a year before. According to the review, that coat had not chipped, peeled or discolored during that period.

The later work was not described as a complete failure of the original coating. MICKY said shoe marks had been tracked onto the painted surface while the household was resealing an asphalt driveway, then applied another coat to address the faint footprints. The review ends with the sentence, “I’m one very satisfied customer.”

Product pages and formulas can change. Before buying or applying the paint, read the current container label and the manufacturer’s instructions for the exact color and package you have. The review page alone is not enough to set a recoat interval, traffic-opening time or preparation method.

The earlier coat reportedly stayed intact
For MICKY, the central evidence of success was the condition of the earlier coat after roughly a year: no chipping, peeling or discoloration was reported. That is meaningful to the reviewer because those are visible defects a homeowner would notice on a patio or sidewalk.

The later coat addressed a cosmetic problem
The reported second application followed faint shoe marks caused during driveway-sealing work. In this account, recoating was a targeted cleanup of tracked marks rather than a response to broad delamination. The review does not say whether the footprints were removed by cleaning, whether the entire area was recoated, or how long the second coat had cured when the review was posted.
The surfaces were residential outdoor concrete
A patio and sidewalk are not the same exposure as a working garage floor. MICKY’s experience is therefore most directly relevant to a reader considering similar pedestrian-use concrete, not automatically to someone expecting performance under repeated vehicle traffic, hot tires, chemicals or other garage-floor demands.
What the review cannot prove

Preparation, surface condition, weather and the timing of use during cure can all be important variables to check. The retail page does not provide enough common detail to assign a cause to MICKY’s favorable result.
Favorable and unfavorable accounts on the same page
The review page contains both positive and negative customer stories. Other entries describe peeling, including reports after vehicle exposure. Those comments are individual accounts, just like MICKY’s review. They do not include consistent measurements, a representative sample, or enough shared information about concrete age, preparation, application conditions and traffic to calculate a failure rate or identify which circumstance caused the difference.

Reading the accounts together is more honest than selecting only the enthusiastic quote or only the complaints. The page supports a range of experiences, not a controlled winner-and-loser comparison.

1. Match the surface and traffic
First identify whether your project resembles MICKY’s patio and sidewalk or a more demanding garage, driveway or vehicle-traffic application. The product listing names all of those uses, but the review supplies direct evidence only for the reviewer’s concrete patio and sidewalk. If your surface will see cars, compare the current label’s traffic and cure instructions with your schedule instead of assuming that a pedestrian-use result transfers.
2. Inspect the existing concrete
Look for peeling material, loose particles, cracks, contamination, moisture problems and previous coatings before treating a review as evidence for your project. MICKY did not describe these conditions, so the account cannot tell you whether your concrete is similarly suitable.

3. Treat label directions as the operating instructions
Use the current product label for cleaning, repairs, surface preparation, application temperature, ventilation, recoat timing and when foot or vehicle traffic may resume. The retailer’s one-hour figure is a snapshot of drying time; it is not a substitute for the complete cure and use instructions.

4. Plan material from the actual area
The listing’s 500-square-foot-per-gallon figure can help make an initial estimate, but rough or porous concrete and application technique can change consumption. Measure the area, account for the label’s coat requirements and confirm the current coverage statement on the container before purchasing.
5. Record conditions if the result matters
For a project where future maintenance matters, record the product package, batch or color information, preparation steps, weather, application dates and traffic-opening time. A record will make it easier to diagnose a problem than a review that omits those details.
A separate manufacturer response about thin paint
The same retail page includes a response signed “Alex” to a different customer’s complaint that the paint was unusually thin. That response advised stirring for 3–5 minutes and replacing the product if stirring did not help. It was not guidance supplied in MICKY’s satisfied review and should not be treated as a universal diagnosis.

Do not alter the material or proceed on the assumption that another customer’s response applies to your package.
Questions to answer before choosing this coating
- Is the concrete use mainly pedestrian, or will vehicles regularly park and turn on it?
- What preparation does the current label require for your existing surface and prior coating?
- Can you keep people, pets and vehicles off the area for the full stated cure period?
- Does the current coverage estimate fit your measured area and the listed coat requirement?
- Are the weather and surface conditions within the label’s application range?
- What will you do if the finish peels, remains soft or shows marks after application?
These questions do not turn a customer anecdote into a guarantee. They prevent a favorable story about one patio and sidewalk from being used as a shortcut around product directions and site-specific planning.
Bottom line on the “very satisfied customer” claim
MICKY’s June 17, 2026 review is a clear, favorable personal account: an earlier coat on a concrete patio and sidewalk was reported to have avoided chipping, peeling and discoloration for about a year, and a later coat addressed shoe marks tracked onto the finish during driveway sealing. That explains why this customer was very satisfied.
The same page also records peeling and inconsistent outcomes, including after vehicle exposure. Because these are uncontrolled customer accounts with different surfaces, preparation and use conditions, they cannot establish a normal success rate or promise that BEHR PREMIUM 1-Part Epoxy Concrete and Garage Floor Paint will perform the same way on your project. Use the review as one example, then make the decision from the current label, your surface and the traffic and cure requirements your project can meet.
