The three Colour Boutique finishes named in the 2021 feature
The article named three of the seven newly introduced colours. Their names are useful when discussing a scheme with a designer, but the source does not provide colour codes, paint matches, gloss levels or photographs with calibrated colour information.

Start with the cooker as a fixed visual anchor
A range cooker is usually one of the largest objects in a kitchen, so its finish can set the room’s visual direction. Choose the cooker colour before finalising cabinet paint, splashback tile and hardware. This prevents a situation in which a cabinet colour appears compatible on a small swatch but competes with the much larger appliance surface.
Use a physical sample or an in-person display where possible. Screen colour varies with brightness, colour temperature and display settings, while a cooker’s painted or enamelled panels reflect the room around them. Check the sample in morning, afternoon and artificial light before committing to cabinetry or wall paint.

Build a controlled palette around the appliance
For a strong finish such as Kingfisher Teal, keep the number of competing accent colours low. Neutral cabinetry, restrained metalwork and a quiet worktop allow the cooker to remain the focal point. Choosing the right cooker configuration
Count the cavities you will actually use
More oven cavities can help when dishes need different temperatures or cooking modes, but they also affect the cooker’s width, installation space and daily cleaning. List the meals you routinely prepare before selecting a large configuration. If you mostly use one oven and a grill, a four-cavity arrangement may add cost and complexity without improving your routine.

A small auxiliary oven can be useful for side dishes or slow cooking, while a larger cavity may be necessary for roasting trays. The historical feature does not provide those dimensions, so obtain them from the current model documentation.
Verify the hob and fuel arrangement
The phrase “gas-through-glass cooktop” identifies a particular surface concept, but it does not establish the fuel arrangement of every Richmond Deluxe variant. Confirm whether the model is gas, electric or dual fuel; what supply is required; and whether your installer must provide dedicated electrical circuits, gas pipework, ventilation or clearances.
Ask for the burner layout and individual ratings. The historical maximum of 5 kW can be relevant for high-heat cooking, but pan size, flame control, ventilation and the distribution of power across burners matter just as much in practice.
Check whether twin-fan cooking applies to your model
The feature says twin-fan technology appeared on select models. Treat that phrase as a prompt to inspect the specification sheet, not as a guarantee. Confirm which cavities have fans, whether fan settings can be used simultaneously, and whether the manufacturer’s instructions specify different shelf positions or temperature adjustments.

A current-model verification checklist
Because the available evidence is from 2021, use this checklist before placing an order or finalising a kitchen drawing:
- Record the exact model number. A colour name alone is not enough to identify width, fuel type or cavity layout.
- Confirm the colour in your market. Ask whether the finish is an active production option, a special order or discontinued, and whether the quoted lead time applies to that colour.
- Request the current technical sheet. Check dimensions, clearances, electrical load, gas requirements, ventilation instructions, cavity count and hob layout.

How to read retailer listings without being misled
Listings often combine a lifestyle photograph with a short description that applies to an entire series. Separate three kinds of information:
- Identity: the manufacturer, series, width, model number and colour.
- Configuration: fuel type, cavity count, hob arrangement, fan system and controls.
- Commercial terms: price, delivery date, installation, warranty registration and returns.
If one of these is missing, ask the seller to supply it before paying a deposit. Make sure the invoice repeats the colour name and model number exactly; a generic “Richmond Deluxe” description is insufficient for a made-to-order finish.
Photographs can also conceal differences between generations. A promotional image may show a configuration that is no longer produced or may depict optional trim. Use the image for style direction and the current technical documentation for the purchasing decision.
Warranty and after-sales questions
The 2021 feature reported a five-year warranty, but that is a historical claim. Warranty terms can vary by country, retailer, registration status and product category. Before relying on five years of cover, ask for the current written terms and note whether the period begins on delivery, installation or registration.

Clarify what is covered during the full term. Some policies distinguish parts, labour and call-out charges or apply different conditions to commercial use. Also ask whether moving the cooker, using a non-approved installer or failing to register the appliance affects coverage. Keep the model number, serial number, invoice and installation record together.
Questions to take to a kitchen designer or retailer
- Is this Colour Boutique finish currently orderable in my country and on this exact model?
