Para fazer uma pipa simples, monte uma armação firme com varetas leves, cubra-a com papel de seda e acrescente uma linha superior para dar uma leve curvatura. Você vai precisar de varetas, linha de pipa, papel de seda, tesoura e cola ou fita adesiva. Faça a montagem em uma superfície plana e empine apenas em local aberto, longe de fios elétricos, pessoas e animais.
Materiais para fazer uma pipa
- Três varetas leves de bambu ou próprias para pipa;
- linha de pipa;
- papel de seda;
- tesoura;
- cola ou fita adesiva.
Também é possível acrescentar papel crepom ou tiras de papel de seda para a rabiola. Um modelo em losango publicado pelo Blog da Kyly em 2013 usa uma vareta de 51 cm e outra de 32 cm; essas medidas correspondem àquele modelo específico, não são uma regra para toda pipa.

Como fazer uma pipa em 14 passos
- Coloque a vareta mais comprida sobre uma mesa. Ela será a coluna central da pipa.
- Posicione uma segunda vareta atravessada sobre a coluna, cerca de quatro dedos abaixo da extremidade superior.
- Deixe aproximadamente um palmo a partir da parte inferior da coluna e atravesse a terceira vareta nesse ponto.
- Marque com lápis ou caneta os pontos onde as varetas se cruzam.
- Amarre firmemente a primeira vareta transversal à coluna com a linha de pipa.
- Sem cortar a linha, enrole-a ao redor da coluna até chegar ao segundo cruzamento.
- Prenda a segunda vareta transversal e leve a linha até a ponta de um dos braços da armação.
- Amarre a linha nessa ponta com um nó firme.
- Leve a linha até a extremidade inferior da coluna, enrole-a e faça outro nó.
- Continue passando a linha pelas pontas restantes, amarrando-a em cada uma para contornar toda a armação.
- Passe cola nas varetas e coloque a estrutura sobre o papel de seda.
- Recorte o papel acompanhando o formato da armação, deixando uma margem ao redor para dobrar.
- Dobre essa margem sobre as varetas e cole-a, mantendo o papel esticado sem rasgá-lo.
- Prenda uma linha adicional entre as duas pontas da vareta superior. Puxe-a levemente para criar uma pequena curvatura na armação.
Como fazer e prender a rabiola
Amarre tiras de papel crepom ou papel de seda a um fio para formar a rabiola. Prenda o fio na extremidade inferior da pipa. Faça a rabiola de modo que fique bem presa e não arraste perto de pessoas, animais ou obstáculos; a tensão da linha e a rabiola contribuem para a estabilidade e o controle.
O que ajuda a pipa a voar
A armação deve ficar firme e equilibrada, com varetas bem amarradas e papel colado sem folgas excessivas. A curvatura criada pela linha adicional no topo dá forma à estrutura. O voo depende da interação do vento com a pipa e da resistência exercida pela linha que a segura.
