Short answer: CycleSafe is the bicycle-locker product family named in Cora Bike Rack’s Architecture & Design listing. That page is an enquiry-led commercial listing: it offers availability, sample and supplier-enquiry actions, but does not publish dimensions, materials, access technology, installation requirements, warranty, price or current compliance evidence. Treat older Cora references as category background only, and obtain dated, model-specific documentation before specifying the lockers on a project.
What the current CycleSafe listing actually tells you
The Architecture & Design page identifies “CycleSafe bicycle lockers from Cora Bike Rack” and provides routes to check availability, request a sample and make an enquiry. It also lists a Sydney address and contact details. It does not function as a technical data sheet. No current model schedule, dimensions, capacity, materials, locking hardware, anchoring method, weather rating, warranty, price or lead time is stated on the displayed listing (accessed 13 October 2026).

What older Cora material can—and cannot—establish
Historical product-family context
A Cora Bike Rack catalogue titled Commercial Bicycle Parking Products, dated approximately 2012, places CycleSafe within a commercial bicycle-locker range. Its marketing language describes the family in promotional terms. That catalogue is useful for understanding that the name has a history in commercial bicycle parking, but it is too old to establish the configuration, finishes, locking options or performance of a model offered today. The catalogue’s “#1 choice” wording is promotional and is not supported by a named statistic or independent test, so it should not be used as an objective performance claim.
General Class 1 locker description
A 21 May 2012 Cora supplier profile in Outdoor Design describes Class 1 bicycle lockers generally as fully enclosed, weather-protected individual lockers with either key or electronic access. This is a category description, not a verified specification for any current CycleSafe model. A project team should ask Cora to confirm whether the proposed model is enclosed, what level of weather protection is provided, and which access technologies are available.

Planning and standards references
A 6 June 2012 Architecture & Design article about Cora’s bicycle-parking handbook discusses facility planning and layout and refers to historical product and standards claims. Those references are not current evidence of compliance. Mentions of AS2890.3 or Green Star in historical material must not be copied into a present-day specification unless Cora supplies dated documents showing that the exact proposed product and the project’s jurisdictional requirements are covered.
How to specify CycleSafe lockers for a building
Use the following sequence to turn an enquiry-led listing into a defensible procurement decision.

- Halloween Pumpkin Ceramic Crafts Supplies: A Great painting gift for family, friends, kids, girls, women, student, classmate, teacher. For using in school, travel or used in the home and office.
- Define the operating brief. Record the number of bicycles, user groups, opening hours, expected turnover, indoor or outdoor location, and whether each user needs an individual permanently assigned locker or short-term access. Note whether bicycles will arrive with panniers, child seats, wide handlebars or other equipment that affects usable capacity.
- Ask for the current model list. Request model names or codes, a dated product brochure and a revision date. Ask Cora to identify which models are available in Australia and which one is being priced for your project. Do not treat the family name alone as a sufficient specification.
- Request a complete technical schedule. Obtain external and internal dimensions, clear opening, bicycle capacity, mass, materials, coatings or finishes, drainage and ventilation provisions, lock type, keying or credential options, and any stated security or weather-performance information. Ask which values are nominal and which are installation tolerances.
- Check the site before accepting a layout. Give the supplier a plan showing the proposed location, access paths, turning areas, slopes, drainage, overhead clearances, services and emergency routes. Ask for anchoring details, base or slab requirements, delivery access, assembly needs and maintenance clearances. A locker that fits a catalogue footprint can still fail when doors, users and bicycles need to operate in the available space.
- Resolve access and administration. Confirm whether the selected system uses physical keys, electronic credentials or more than one option. Ask who issues, replaces and revokes credentials, what happens during a power or network outage if electronics are used, and whether a site manager can obtain audit records. These are questions for the proposed model, not established CycleSafe features.
- Obtain current compliance evidence. Ask for certificates, test reports, declarations or installation guidance relevant to the project and jurisdiction. Identify the document number, issue date, product model and conditions of use. Historical references alone are not enough to claim compliance.
- Confirm commercial terms in writing. Request a quotation that states quantity, configuration, finish, delivery point, installation scope, taxes, lead time, warranty, exclusions and servicing arrangements. Ask how substitutions will be handled if the quoted model becomes unavailable.
- Record the approved basis of design. Attach the supplier’s dated documents to the project specification and identify every assumption that still requires approval. Do not allow a generic “CycleSafe locker” note to survive into tender documents without a model, schedule and acceptance criteria.
Decision axes to settle with Cora Bike Rack
No current CycleSafe models or alternatives are enumerated in the accessible listing, so a model-to-model comparison would be speculative. Use these axes to structure the supplier conversation instead.
| Decision axis | Questions to ask | Evidence to retain |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity and footprint | How many bicycles does each locker hold? What are the external dimensions, internal clearances and door swings? Can the layout accommodate the bicycle types expected at this site? | Dimensioned drawing, capacity statement and approved layout. |
| Weather protection | Is the enclosure intended for fully exposed placement, sheltered placement or indoor use? How are rain, runoff, condensation and drainage addressed? | Product data and any test or installation limits. |
| Access method | Are key and electronic options available for the selected model? What happens when a key or credential is lost, a user leaves, or power and communications fail? | Lock schedule, operating instructions and management requirements. |
| Materials and security | What materials, corrosion protection and locking components are used? What attacks or misuse scenarios are covered by the stated security information? | Material and finish schedule plus any substantiated security documentation. |
| Installation and site work | What base, anchors, tolerances, lifting equipment, drainage and clearances are required? Who supplies and certifies the installation? | Installation manual, foundation details, responsibilities matrix and sign-off criteria. |
| Compliance | Which current standards, planning rules or rating systems apply to this exact model and installation? | Current certificates, declarations or other documents naming the product. |
| Service life and support | What warranty, spare parts, inspection, cleaning and repair arrangements apply? Who supports the site after handover? | Warranty terms, maintenance schedule, service contacts and response commitments. |
| Supply risk | What is the present lead time, minimum order, delivery region and substitution policy? | Dated quotation and written availability confirmation. |
Using the listing’s availability, sample and enquiry actions
Check availability
Submit the required quantity, destination, preferred installation date and any configuration constraints. Ask the response to distinguish stocked items from made-to-order units and to state how long the quoted lead time remains valid. Availability shown or confirmed for one quantity or location should not be assumed for another.

Request a sample
Before relying on a sample, ask whether it is a full locker, a material or finish coupon, a lock assembly, or a discontinued display piece. Request the model code and revision represented by the sample. Inspect the finish, door operation, seals, drainage details and lock interface that matter to your project, then record any differences between the sample and the quotation.
Make a supplier enquiry
Send one consolidated brief rather than a generic request for “CycleSafe lockers.” Include the site location, quantity, bicycle types, indoor or outdoor exposure, access preference, required delivery date, installation responsibility and the documents needed for approval. Ask Cora to identify every item that is optional, site-dependent or unavailable in the required region.

Common procurement failures and how to prevent them
- Assuming the historical catalogue is current. Prevent this by requiring a dated product sheet and model code in the quotation.
- Writing “weatherproof” without a defined basis. Ask what exposure, drainage and installation conditions the supplier supports, and keep the supplier’s wording in the project record.
- Choosing a lock before planning administration. Confirm credential replacement, emergency access, outage procedures and ongoing management before selecting an electronic option.
- Ignoring site logistics. Review delivery route, lifting, slab condition, anchors, gradients and maintenance access with the installer, not only the architect’s plan.
- Carrying old standards language into a new project. Have the certifier or project compliance lead review current requirements and match them to documents naming the proposed model.
- Comparing prices without equal scope. Check whether each offer includes freight, installation, bases, locks, commissioning, taxes, warranty and service. A lower unit figure may omit essential work.
- Failing to control substitutions. State that any replacement model requires approval against the same capacity, access, site and compliance criteria.
A practical approval record
For a tender or construction file, keep a short approval pack containing:
- the current Cora model name and product revision;
- a dimensioned plan showing locker positions, user circulation and service clearances;
- the supplier’s capacity, materials, finish, lock and weather-protection schedule;
- anchoring, base, drainage, delivery and installation instructions;
- current compliance documents applicable to the model and jurisdiction;
- the dated quotation, availability confirmation, lead time, warranty and service terms;
- sample identification and notes from the review; and
- a list of approved assumptions and the person responsible for closing each one.
This record lets a facilities team verify what was actually purchased and gives the installer measurable acceptance criteria. It also prevents a historical brochure or a generic product-family name from being mistaken for a current specification.

What a buyer can conclude today
CycleSafe is a legitimate product-family name in Cora Bike Rack’s Architecture & Design listing, and the listing is set up for commercial enquiries rather than self-service purchasing. The accessible page does not establish a current model’s dimensions, construction, access technology, installation method, warranty, price, availability or compliance. Historical Cora material supports only the narrower conclusion that CycleSafe has been presented as a commercial bicycle-locker range and that Class 1 lockers were once described generally as enclosed, weather-protected units with key or electronic access.
For a building project, proceed by obtaining Cora’s current model list and dated documentation, then test the proposed configuration against the site, operating model and applicable jurisdictional requirements. Until those checks are complete, specify the information to be confirmed—not an assumed CycleSafe configuration.
