Delta Air Lines announced a new employee uniform program called Distinctly Delta on Nov. 3, 2025, during the airline’s centennial year. Delta said Lands’ End would produce four collections for 65,000 uniformed employees in Airport Customer Service, In-Flight and Technical Operations. The announcement set out plans for wear testing by summer 2026 and a full rollout in 2027; those were forward-looking dates, and the available announcement does not confirm whether either milestone has since been met.

What are Delta’s new crew uniforms called?
The collection is named Distinctly Delta. Delta introduced it as an employee uniform program, not a consumer retail launch. The company said the design was intended for 65,000 uniformed employees across Airport Customer Service, In-Flight and Technical Operations. That figure is Delta’s stated scope, not an independent headcount.
Delta framed the uniforms as a visible expression of the airline’s identity. Ranjan Goswami, senior vice president of Customer Experience Design, said, “There’s no better manifestation of the Delta brand than the Delta people who wear our uniform.”

Who is making Delta’s new uniforms?
Delta named Lands’ End as the producer of the four uniform collections. It also identified Missoni as the partner for scarves, ties and pocket squares, and Bombas as the supplier of black socks bearing Delta branding for employees. These are components of the uniform program; Delta’s announcement does not establish that the specific items are available for public purchase.
The partner named for this 2025 collection differs from the one in an earlier development announcement. In March 2024, Delta described prototypes being developed with GPS Apparel by Gap Inc. The 2025 announcement names Lands’ End as producer of Distinctly Delta, so the two announcements refer to different stages and should not be treated as conflicting descriptions of one unchanged arrangement.

What do the new Delta uniforms look like?
Colors and collection names
Delta highlighted deep navy, burgundy and red, with color names including Navigator Navy, Boarding Burgundy and Runway Red. Powerful Pink is also part of the collection for October breast-cancer awareness. Delta linked that initiative to its stated 20-year partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation; that duration is the airline’s own description.
Design details and roles
Delta said the Elite Collection features subtle jacquard patterns incorporating the Delta Widget. The company described it as a way to create a unified look for roles including Red Coats, Sky Club ambassadors and onboard pursers. The collection also brings back the wrap dress, first introduced in the early 2000s, with updates.

Comfort, fit and materials
Delta said the design was shaped for working conditions that can include extreme weather, movement between gates and aircraft, and flight attendants crossing different climates. In its design-process feature, the airline said employees asked for breathable fabrics, a broader range of fit and a return to red and navy. Delta also said every piece in the collection meets STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX, a certification standard. These are company descriptions; the announcement does not provide independent performance testing results for the finished uniforms.
Delta Design Lead Thomas Vasseur described the effort this way: “This isn’t fast fashion. We’re not just recoloring a dress. We’re engineering a collection.” Delta’s design feature said development of one OEKO-TEX-approved roll of fabric can take five to six months. That figure describes the process as Delta reported it, not a general industry benchmark.

When were employees expected to start wearing the collection?
In its Nov. 3, 2025 announcement, Delta said wear testing would begin by summer 2026 and that all employees were expected to wear the collection in 2027. A separate Delta design feature described a comprehensive wear-test program planned for 2026. These were announced plans, not confirmation that testing had begun, produced particular results or that the rollout is complete.
