The product family has two configurations that are easy to confuse. EGO’s current product page identifies HPW3204-2 as the kit with two 6.0Ah ARC Lithium batteries and a charger. EGO’s 2026 catalog lists HPW3200 as a configuration without a battery or charger. A listing that says “HPW3200” is therefore not automatically the same purchase as the two-battery package.

3,200 PSI is a maximum, not the whole performance story
PSI describes pressure. It helps break the bond between dirt and a surface, but it does not tell you how quickly the washer can carry that dirt away. EGO’s “up to 3,200 PSI” is a maximum manufacturer rating. The pressure you experience at a nozzle can vary with the selected tip, hose, trigger position, water supply and the surface being cleaned.
The normal wand setup is rated at 1.2 GPM
With the quick-connect lance and stainless-steel wand attached, EGO rates the machine at 1.2 gallons per minute. That is the figure most relevant to ordinary work with the long wand: washing siding, rinsing a deck, cleaning outdoor furniture or preparing a surface before painting. A pressure washer with a lower flow can still remove grime, but rinsing may take longer than the headline PSI suggests.

The short gun is a different operating configuration
EGO lists up to 2.0 GPM when you use only the short pressure gun. This is not an alternate flow rate that automatically applies to the wand. It is a separate setup, and the two values should be compared only when you are clear about which attachment is connected. The short gun can be useful when you want a compact tool for close work or when maneuvering a long wand would be awkward.
Choose the nozzle for the material
The kit includes five nozzles. A narrow spray concentrates energy for stubborn deposits but raises the risk of etching soft wood, damaging paint or forcing water behind siding. A wider fan spreads the load and is generally the safer starting point for painted surfaces. Hold the wand back, make a test pass in an inconspicuous area and move closer only if the surface tolerates the spray. Pressure does not make an unsuitable nozzle safe.

Battery runtime and what “up to 60 minutes” means
The HPW3204-2 package contains two 6.0Ah ARC Lithium batteries, and EGO advertises up to 60 minutes of runtime on a charge. The same figure appears in the 2026 catalog. EGO does not publish a task, spray setup, duty cycle, water pressure, ambient temperature or power mode for that number, so it should be treated as a best-case manufacturer claim rather than a guaranteed cleaning time.
Actual work time depends on how often the trigger is held, which attachment is used and how much load the pump sees. Cleaning a lightly soiled vehicle with frequent pauses is a different demand from continuously stripping embedded grime from a large patio. The 2.0-GPM short-gun configuration can also represent a different water and power demand than the 1.2-GPM lance-and-wand setup.
For planning, estimate the area you can clean during short trigger-on intervals rather than assuming 60 uninterrupted minutes. Keep both batteries charged, and remember that the advertised runtime is for the two-battery kit. If you already own compatible EGO batteries, compare the bare-tool price with the kit price; if you do not, include the cost of two batteries and a charger in your budget.

The package can therefore cover detergent application, concentrated spot cleaning and broad rinsing without immediately requiring add-on attachments. Water supply: cordless power still needs water
Connect a normal garden hose when a spigot is available. Where a hose connection is impractical, EGO says the included siphon hose lets the washer draw from a fresh-water source. Set the intake in a clean container, keep the filter in place and ensure the supply cannot run dry while the pump is operating. A battery eliminates an electrical cord; it does not make the washer independent of water.
Before starting, inspect the hose for kinks and verify that every quick-connect fitting is fully seated. Air entering the intake can interrupt flow and make the pump sound erratic. If water output pulses, stop the machine, check the source level and filter, and purge air according to the operating instructions before continuing.
Setup and first-use procedure
- Identify the configuration. Confirm that the carton or order is HPW3204-2 if you expect two batteries and a charger. HPW3200 may be a bare-tool configuration.
- Charge both batteries. Use the supplied charger for the kit and install charged packs as directed in the owner’s manual. Do not assume a battery is included because the listing uses the HPW3200 family name.
- Choose the water source. Attach a garden hose, or place the siphon hose and filter in a clean fresh-water container. Keep the intake submerged and free of sediment.
- Connect the high-pressure hose. Attach the 25-foot hose to the washer and the pressure gun. Tighten hand connections evenly; cross-threaded fittings can leak or restrict flow.
- Select the attachment. Install the stainless-steel wand and quick-connect lance for reach, or use the short gun for compact close-up work. Fit the nozzle that matches the surface and soil.
- Prime with water before loading the pump. Open the water supply and allow air to leave the system as directed by the manual. A steady water supply helps prevent dry running.
- Test a small area. Start with a wider spray and more distance than you think you need. Check painted wood, vinyl, masonry joints and vehicle trim for damage before expanding the work area.
- Apply detergent when appropriate. Use the foam cannon with a compatible cleaning solution, following the detergent manufacturer’s dilution instructions. Let the product dwell without allowing it to dry.
- Rinse methodically. Work from the cleaner area toward the remaining soil, using overlapping passes. Keep the nozzle moving instead of concentrating the spray on one point.
- Shut down and store. Release trigger pressure, turn off the water, disconnect the hoses and drain residual water as specified in the manual. Remove and store batteries in a dry, appropriate location.
How it fits painting and property-maintenance work
For painters, pressure washing is usually preparation rather than the finish itself. The goal is to remove chalk, loose dirt, algae and other contaminants so a coating can bond to a sound surface. The EGO’s wand, 25-foot hose and five nozzles provide reach and spray choices for that preparation, while the foam cannon can help loosen general grime before rinsing.

Do not use the maximum setting as a default on painted siding, trim, window seals or older wood. High pressure can drive water behind cladding, lift failing paint or expose bare substrate. Keep the spray away from electrical fixtures, open vents and damaged mortar. Allow the washed surface to dry fully before sanding, priming or painting; the required drying time depends on weather and the material, not on the washer’s battery.
The 1.2-GPM wand rating means rinsing productivity will be influenced by flow as well as pressure. On a large façade, you may spend more time moving water and clearing loosened soil than the 3,200-PSI label implies. Plan hose routing, runoff control and drying time as part of the job.

Because that document describes the washer platform and is identified as approximately 2023 in search indexing, treat the figure as a technical reference rather than a guaranteed shipping or complete-kit weight. The batteries, hose, wand and accessories add to what you carry on site.
