“Eid Mubarak” is an appropriate greeting for an Eid al-Fitr card; Hallmark glosses it as “blessed celebration.” If you include a date in a 2025 message, name the country: Eid began on March 30 in Kuwait and March 31 in Jordan, rather than on one universal Gregorian date.
What to write in an Eid Mubarak 2025 card
Keep the message warm and direct. “Eid Mubarak” is a conventional greeting, and Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan. You can add a wish for a joyful or blessed celebration and a personal note that suits your relationship with the recipient.
- Simple: “Eid Mubarak! Wishing you a joyful celebration.”
- Personal: “Eid Mubarak! I hope you and your family have a wonderful celebration.”
These are optional examples, not prescribed wording. Customs and preferred phrasing can vary among Muslim communities and individuals. Hallmark explains the greeting and lists Eid cards at its Eid al-Fitr card category.

Which date should a 2025 card mention?
Eid al-Fitr begins with Shawwal, after Ramadan. The Gregorian date can differ by location because religious authorities use local processes that may include crescent sighting and/or calculation.

Islamic Relief UK also acknowledged that people were celebrating on Sunday or Monday, noting that the new crescent is not sighted everywhere at the same time: its 2025 Eid al-Fitr message. For a card intended for a particular country or community, use the date announced by the relevant local authority. For a general greeting, “Eid Mubarak” avoids treating one location’s date as universal.

Choosing a physical or personalized Eid card
Physical Eid greeting cards are available, including customizable designs. Hallmark’s Eid Mubarak Custom Card description says it can be personalized with photos and an inside message and mailed to the recipient.
