Short answer: the available Enware documentation does not identify a product called the “VP Lever series” or prove that its control is operated by a fingertip. It does document several lever-action families. The closest clearly specified example is the Wellbeing Leva 150mm Pillar Tap (WLC150PLTC), which has a quarter-turn, contra-rotating 150mm lever designed for wrist or elbow operation. A separate VP322F datasheet covers a school-pattern bib tap with a vandal-resistant handle. Those products should not be treated as the same tap.
What is actually verified about the Enware VP Lever reference?

Enware’s brochure states that hands-free elbow activation can improve hygiene and reduce the risk of hand cross-contamination. That is the manufacturer’s stated benefit, not an independently established outcome for the exact VP Lever product named in the title. A facility should still follow its own hand-hygiene, cleaning and water-temperature procedures.
Why the VP322F should not be used as a substitute
The VP322F technical datasheet describes a school-pattern bib tap with a vandal-resistant handle. A bib tap is a different installation form from a basin-mounted pillar tap, and a vandal-resistant handle addresses a different design problem from a long lever intended for wrist or elbow use.

Do not transfer the Leva tap’s pressure, temperature, flow or WELS figures to VP322F, and do not assume the VP322F handle provides fingertip, wrist or elbow activation. The two datasheets answer different specification questions.

How to specify the correct tap before purchase
- Obtain the complete model code. Ask the supplier or project consultant to identify the exact Enware code, not just “VP Lever” or “lever tapware.” Record whether the product is a pillar tap, wall-mounted fitting, bib tap or another configuration.
- Define the required control action. State whether users must operate the fitting with a fingertip, whole hand, wrist or elbow. If fingertip force or accessibility performance is mandatory, request written model-specific evidence rather than inferring it from a long handle.
- Check mounting and connection details. Compare the tap’s inlet size and thread with the basin and pipework. For WLC150PLTC, Enware lists a 1/2-inch BSP (15mm) male inlet; that figure must not be applied to another model.
- Check pressure and temperature. For WLC150PLTC, the recommended pressure is 50–500 kPa, maximum static pressure is 800 kPa, recommended temperature is 70°C, and the ceramic disc’s maximum operating temperature is 85°C. Verify the figures for the selected model and assess whether the building needs pressure reduction or temperature controls.
- Confirm water-efficiency data. Use the exact model’s current WELS listing. WLC150PLTC is listed at 5 stars and 5.5 L/min, with an additional 6-star, 4 L/min rating. These ratings are not a promise of a particular reduction in a facility’s water bill.
- Match the finish and material to the environment. The Leva example is listed with a chrome, lead-free brass body. Confirm the current finish, cleaning compatibility and any project requirement for satin chrome, powder coating or another finish.
- Validate approvals and intended use. The brochure describes manufacture to WaterMark AS/NZS 3718 and AS 4020, but brochure-era range statements should be checked against the current model documentation and local project requirements.
- Review the installation with a licensed professional. The installer should verify clearances, isolation, leak testing, outlet position, temperature protection and commissioning against the selected model’s instructions.
Common specification mistakes and how to avoid them
Assuming “lever” means fingertip activation
A lever can be moved in many ways and with different effort. The documented Leva wording supports wrist or elbow use, not a tested fingertip-force claim. Keep those requirements separate in the schedule.
Mixing data from different Enware families
VP322F and WLC150PLTC are documented as different products. Combining one model’s inlet, WELS rating or pressure limits with another model’s body or handle can produce an unsafe or non-compliant specification.
Quoting brochure information as a current guarantee
The lever-action brochure is useful for understanding the range’s stated applications, sizes, materials and standards. It is not a substitute for the current technical sheet for the exact order code. Enware warns that product details may change.

Treating a WELS number as a savings forecast
A star rating and litres-per-minute figure describe the product’s water-efficiency classification. Actual consumption also depends on operating time, pressure, users and maintenance. The 5.5 L/min and 4 L/min figures for WLC150PLTC should remain labelled as manufacturer-listed model data.
Ignoring the installation type
A pillar tap and a bib tap do not share the same mounting or outlet arrangement. Confirm basin hole size, spout reach, wall clearance and connection location before ordering any replacement.

- Choose the documented Leva configuration when: the project needs a basin-mounted pillar tap, the 150mm lever reach suits the user space, and the current WLC150PLTC specification meets the site’s pressure, temperature, connection and water-rating requirements.
- Investigate a different model when: the installation is a wall or hose bib, vandal resistance is the primary requirement, the site needs a different lever length, or the required activation is explicitly fingertip-only.
- Pause the purchase when: the supplier cannot provide an exact model code, current technical sheet, approval information or a clear explanation of the claimed fingertip-control mechanism.
