Bottom line: The EQ3 Reva is a made-to-order sectional that converts into a guest bed, but it is not one fixed sofa. You choose between two-piece chaise layouts in double or queen and a three-piece sleeper with a storage loveseat, then narrow the fit further with arm width, orientation, upholstery and other configuration choices. The right purchase depends first on doorway access and open-bed clearance, then on sleeping size and storage needs.
EQ3 lists a memory-foam sleeper mattress and detailed construction and warranty claims, but those specifications do not establish how comfortable the bed will feel to a particular sleeper. Treat this as a configuration and fit review: verify the exact SKU, measure your delivery route, and test the mattress in person if anyone will sleep on it regularly.

What the Reva sectional sleeper is
The Reva is a configurable sectional sleeper made to order in Canada. EQ3 labels the product “Custom Made in Canada” and describes a kiln-dried hardwood frame assembled at its Winnipeg factory with pinned, glued and screwed joints. The collection is available in fabric or leather, with choices that can include arm width, sleeper size, sectional orientation, leg and cover selections. The exact menu is configuration-dependent, so an option shown on one Reva page should not be assumed to exist for every SKU.
EQ3’s own description calls the sleeper “perfect for anyone who needs a modern and stylish sofa bed.” That is marketing language, not an independent comfort or durability assessment. The useful question is whether a specific Reva configuration gives you the seating footprint, bed size, storage and access clearances your room can support.

The two-piece model pairs a sofa section with a chaise that contains storage. EQ3 lists it in two sleeping sizes:

- Double sleeper: the smaller bed option for rooms where a queen would consume too much floor area.
- Queen sleeper: a wider sleeping surface, with a correspondingly longer and deeper closed-sofa footprint.
Left- or right-facing orientation and standard- or narrow-arm versions can change the final dimensions. Confirm the facing direction from the seated position and check the configuration drawing before ordering; a reversed chaise can make an otherwise workable room plan fail.
Three-piece sectional sleeper with storage loveseat
The three-piece version replaces the chaise arrangement with a sectional that includes a storage loveseat and sleeper function. EQ3 lists an 8.5-inch storage compartment for this product. Its nearly square footprint can suit a room organized around a corner seating group, but it demands substantially more floor area than the two-piece layouts.
Storage capacity is not the same as usable bedding capacity. Measure folded sheets, pillows and blankets before assuming they will fit, and ask whether the compartment remains accessible when the sleeper is opened.
Arm width and orientation
Narrow arms reduce the closed footprint by several inches in the published dimensions. Standard arms may look more substantial, while narrow arms can preserve circulation in a tight room. Arm width does not by itself determine the mattress size; it changes the overall outside measurement. The available orientation, legs and upholstery choices can vary by selected configuration and store, so save the exact specification sheet for your order.

Published dimensions and the space you need
These are EQ3’s listed outside dimensions for the configurations identified below. Measurements are in inches, shown as width × depth × height. They are planning figures, not a substitute for the specification sheet attached to your exact order.

EQ3 lists an opened depth of 83 inches for the sleeper. Some pieces require 31 inches of entry clearance. Those numbers create two separate planning tests: whether the sofa can reach its final room and whether the bed can open without striking a wall, table, radiator or media console.
Measure the room in the order the furniture uses it
- Draw the closed footprint. Mark the exact width and depth of the chosen SKU on the floor with tape. Include the arm style, not just the mattress width.
- Mark the 83-inch open depth. Extend the tape to the fully opened-bed dimension. Leave a walking path to the room’s door and any required egress.
- Check ceiling, trim and obstacles. The listed height is 33 inches, but baseboards, window ledges, outlets and low shelves can interfere with placement or sleeper movement.
- Measure every turn in the delivery route. Record the narrowest doorway, hallway, stair landing and elevator opening. EQ3 warns that some pieces need 31 inches of entry clearance; measure the actual piece dimensions and account for packaging and turning angles.
- Confirm orientation. Stand where you will sit and identify which side the chaise or loveseat occupies. Compare that orientation with the door swing and the route into the room.
If the route is close to the limit, ask EQ3 or the selling store for the packaged dimensions and a delivery assessment. A room can accommodate a 126.8-inch sofa and still reject it at a 29-inch doorway or a tight stair turn.
Double versus queen: which sleeper size makes sense?
The double and queen versions use the same basic Reva concept, but the queen adds 12 inches of listed width in the standard-arm two-piece model (126.8 versus 114.8 inches) and 12 inches in the narrow-arm model (122.8 versus 110.8 inches). Its listed depth also increases from 62.5 to 64.5 inches. That difference affects both everyday circulation and the open-bed zone.
Choose the double when
- The sofa sits in a room where a 114.8-inch or 110.8-inch width is already a tight fit.
- Guests are occasional and usually sleep alone or as a compact pair who have confirmed the sleeping surface works for them.
- You need more clearance around the sofa than a queen footprint allows.
Choose the queen when
- Two adults will use the sleeper and the room can absorb the longer, deeper footprint.
- The sofa will serve as the primary guest bed rather than an emergency overnight option.
- You have measured the 83-inch open depth and can still maintain circulation.
EQ3’s published dimensions do not state the exact sleeping-surface width or length for every configuration. Ask for the mattress specification for the selected SKU rather than inferring it solely from the sofa’s outside width.

What the mattress specifications do—and do not—tell you
EQ3 describes the Reva sleeper as having a memory-foam mattress. The EQ3-hosted specification sheet identifies a 5-inch-high mattress made with high-density, high-resiliency material and a memory-foam top. The product-page specification lists a 21-inch mattress height when the sleeper is opened. These figures describe construction and the opened assembly; they are not a comfort rating and do not predict pressure relief, heat retention or motion transfer for a particular person.
For occasional guests
A five-inch sleeper mattress can be a reasonable space-saving design for visitors when the sofa’s primary job is seating. Provide sheets sized for the exact mattress and disclose the bed’s construction to guests who need a particular firmness or thickness.
For frequent or primary sleeping
Do not assume the memory-foam label makes the Reva equivalent to a dedicated bed. Have the intended sleeper lie on the exact configuration for at least several minutes in normal sleep positions. Check whether hips and shoulders remain supported, whether the center or hinge is noticeable, and whether the opened bed leaves enough room to move around it. EQ3’s published material does not provide an independent comfort test, long-term sagging data or a user-weight limit.

Confirm the pull-out mechanism and the clearance behind the sofa with the seller. EQ3 recommends airing out the sleeper mattress for an extra hour before storing it. That instruction matters if you close the bed immediately after a guest leaves or after cleaning; build the extra time into your routine.
Frame, foam and cover construction
EQ3 says the frame is kiln-dried hardwood and that the Winnipeg factory pins, glues and screws the joints. The product materials describe an engineered 25-year structural lifespan. EQ3 also describes layered, varied-density foam wrapped in polyester fiber and tested for 100,000 cycles. Those are manufacturer-stated construction details and test claims, not independent laboratory verification or a guarantee that every cushion will feel the same over time.

Fabric and leather are both offered. Cover availability can change with the sleeper size, arm width, leg and orientation selected. Before paying, make sure the color, cleaning code and material are listed on the actual order confirmation rather than relying on a collection-level swatch page.
Warranty coverage by component
EQ3 publishes different warranty periods for different parts of the sectional. The coverage below is not a single blanket term.

EQ3 states that foam softening is normal and is not covered by the cushion warranty. Read the complete warranty before ordering, especially if the sleeper will be used every night. Ask who handles a claim, whether the sectional must be inspected in place and who pays shipping or service costs.

- Vacuum regularly. Use an upholstery attachment to remove grit from cushions, seams and the chaise or loveseat storage area.
- Limit direct sun. EQ3 advises avoiding direct sunlight to reduce fading. Rotate the room arrangement or use window coverings if a cover sits beside a bright window.
- Follow the fabric’s cleaning code. The correct method depends on the selected textile. Record the code from your order materials before a spill occurs.
- Spot-clean promptly without rubbing. Blot or follow the specified method rather than grinding a stain into the fibers. Aggressive rubbing can spread soil or damage the cover.
- Use a professional for persistent stains. EQ3 recommends professional upholstery cleaning when a mark does not respond to the approved spot-cleaning method.
- Air the mattress before closing it. Allow the sleeper mattress an extra hour to air out before storing it, as EQ3 recommends.
Leather and fabric have different care requirements, so do not apply a leather conditioner to fabric or a fabric cleaner to leather unless the cover’s instructions specifically allow it.

EQ3 describes the Reva as custom made to order. Current prices, available covers and estimated delivery dates depend on the selected configuration and can change. Manufacturing delays may push delivery later than the estimate shown at checkout or on the product page.

Because no current price for every configuration is published, treat any price seen online as a time- and SKU-specific figure. Before placing the order, capture the configured product summary, quoted price, estimated window, cancellation terms and delivery method. Reconfirm those details with EQ3 or the selling store at the time of purchase.
What to inspect in a showroom or confirm with the seller
A showroom visit is most valuable when it answers questions the specification sheet cannot.
- Open and close the exact sleeper mechanism; check whether the movement requires lifting, pulling or clearance behind the sofa.
- Lie on the mattress in your normal sleeping position and feel for the hinge or frame beneath the foam.
- Sit in the corner, sofa and chaise/loveseat positions to compare support and usable seat depth.
- Measure the displayed arm width and compare it with the configuration you intend to buy.
- Open the storage compartment and test it with the bedding you plan to keep there.
- Check the upholstery sample under your room’s lighting and record its cleaning code.
- Ask for packaged dimensions, delivery-path requirements, installation steps and removal of packing materials.
- Request the complete warranty and ask how normal foam softening is distinguished from cushion collapse.

- The largest two-piece and three-piece footprints can dominate a small room.
- Some delivery pieces need 31 inches of entry clearance, and packaged dimensions may be more restrictive than the finished sofa.
- A five-inch memory-foam mattress may not satisfy sleepers who expect a dedicated-bed feel; no independent comfort evidence is established.
- Warranty periods differ sharply by component, and normal foam softening is excluded from cushion coverage.
- Made-to-order production means price and delivery estimates can change, with delays possible.
Verdict: buy the configuration, not just the collection name
The Reva makes the most sense when you need a sectional first and a guest bed second, can accommodate its 83-inch opened depth, and value integrated storage. A narrow-arm double is the space-conscious starting point; a queen is better when two-person sleeping room justifies the extra width; the three-piece storage-loveseat version is for rooms that can accept an approximately square sectional footprint.
For nightly sleeping, the published five-inch memory-foam construction is a reason to test rather than a reason to assume. Confirm the exact mattress, upholstery, orientation, packaged dimensions, warranty terms, price and delivery window on the final configuration before committing.
