The EufyMake E1 is not a conventional 3D printer. It is a desktop direct-to-object UV printer that deposits and instantly cures ink in layers, producing full-color images with raised relief textures up to a manufacturer-advertised 5 mm. EufyMake markets it as the “world’s first personal 3D-texture UV printer,” but its real value is more specific: it is a prosumer tool for tactile artwork, personalized merchandise, plaques, signs, and other small-format objects.
What is the EufyMake E1?
The E1 is a UV printer developed by EufyMake, an Anker Innovations brand. Unlike a filament or resin 3D printer, it does not create a freestanding object with internal geometry. Instead, it prints directly onto a sheet or object placed on its bed. UV-curable ink is deposited, layered, and cured during the print, creating a hardened surface relief.
That makes the E1 best described as a desktop direct-to-object UV printer with raised-texture capability. It combines color printing with effects such as embossed lettering, raised logos, glossy highlights, oil-paint-like impasto, leather-style patterns, and tactile decorative artwork.
EufyMake’s “world’s first” wording should be treated as a company marketing claim, not as an independently established industry fact. Whether a product is first depends on how “personal,” “desktop,” “UV printer,” “3D texture,” and “commercially available” are defined. The safest description is that EufyMake markets the E1 as the world’s first personal 3D-texture UV printer.

What “3D texture” actually means
The E1’s 3D effect is a raised ink relief. It is not a substitute for modeling and printing a three-dimensional object. A conventional 3D printer can produce a bracket, figurine, enclosure, or other object with arbitrary shape. The E1 produces a textured layer on an existing surface.
In practice, this distinction matters:
- Flat UV printing: a colored image is printed onto the surface.
- E1 texture printing: additional ink layers build selected areas into a raised relief, while color, white ink, and gloss can be combined.
- Conventional 3D printing: filament or resin forms a separate object with structural volume.
The advertised maximum texture height is up to 5 mm. That is a maximum published capability, not a promise that every image, material, speed setting, or texture profile will produce a clean 5-mm result. More height generally means more ink, longer print times, and greater risk of uneven edges or defects.

What can it print?
EufyMake promotes the E1 for metal, wood, acrylic, ceramics, and selected fabric applications. Flexible white ink is specifically associated with certain flexible-material workflows. Potential projects include:
- Personalized plaques and signs
- Decorative wood and acrylic panels
- Custom gifts and small merchandise
- Raised logos and branded promotional items
- Tactile artwork and reproductions
- Embossed-looking lettering
- Decorative patterns on suitable objects
- Some cylindrical products using the rotary attachment
- UV DTF-related workflows using the appropriate equipment
“Supports” does not mean that every example of a material will accept ink permanently. Adhesion depends on the coating, porosity, surface energy, flexibility, cleanliness, and preparation of the particular blank. Oil, dust, mold-release residue, or a slick coating can cause ink to scratch or peel.
Before selling an application, test the actual material and finish. Check adhesion after curing and after the conditions the product will face: abrasion, water, heat, skin oils, outdoor exposure, or repeated flexing. The listed material categories are a starting point for testing, not a universal durability guarantee or a claim of food-contact safety.
How the E1 printing workflow works
- Prepare the artwork. Start with an image, logo, illustration, or painting. Raised areas must be defined through a texture or height map, either manually or with supported software tools.
- Prepare the object. Clean and dry the surface, confirm its suitability, secure it on the bed, and check its height and position.
- Select the layers and effects. Color creates the image. White ink can provide opacity or a base layer on dark and transparent materials. Flexible white is intended for certain flexible applications, while gloss can add a shiny or raised finish.
- Generate the texture layers. The software converts height information into multiple ink layers. Fine details need sufficient contrast, size, and spacing to remain distinct.
- Print and cure. UV light cures the ink as it is deposited, leaving a hardened relief rather than a separate 3D object.
- Inspect the result. Check color registration, edge sharpness, texture continuity, gloss, and adhesion before treating the piece as saleable.
The product page advertises AI-assisted tools such as one-click 3D-texture generation, background removal, and style transfer. These can speed up preparation, but they cannot guarantee a good tactile result from an arbitrary image. Texture maps with muddy contrast, extremely small details, abrupt height changes, or too many layers may produce lumpy or indistinct results.

Kickstarter pricing is historical. The April 2025 launch announcement listed a standard campaign price of $1,899 for the basic bundle and an early-bird price of $1,699. Those figures should not be used as current retail guidance; the regional storefront is the relevant source for a purchase decision.
The real cost of ownership
The $2,199 printer-only price is not a ready-to-print cost because it excludes required ink. Ownership also involves cleaning supplies, priming, maintenance, blanks, failed prints, labor, and potentially replacement printheads or accessories.
EufyMake’s storefront gives an estimated $54.20 per month in ink-related maintenance costs under its stated assumptions—approximately $38.70 for deep-cleaning ink and $15.50 for pre-print priming. This is an official estimate, not a universal monthly bill. Actual consumption varies with print frequency, idle periods, texture height, color coverage, cleaning cycles, ink waste, environmental conditions, and printhead condition.

Do not assume that sales revenue alone will quickly repay the machine. The E1 is financially easier to justify when tactile, full-color direct-to-object work is the feature customers are paying for.
Maintenance is part of the product
UV printers are not office inkjets that can be ignored for months. Regular priming, cleaning, nozzle checks, ink management, and printhead protection are central to ownership. Long idle periods can increase the risk of clogs, missing colors, wasted ink, and poor output.

Also check the regional warranty terms carefully: the listed fact sheet gives the printer a one-year warranty and the printhead a three-month warranty.
Safety and workspace requirements
The E1 should not be treated like a harmless desktop paper printer. UV-curable ink can irritate skin and eyes, and uncured ink should not be handled casually. Operate it according to the manufacturer’s safety documentation in a controlled workspace with appropriate ventilation and protective procedures.
A bedroom, food-preparation area, or space accessible to children and pets is a poor choice. Do not bypass enclosure controls or exposure protections. Handle waste ink and cleaning materials responsibly, and consult the manufacturer’s current documentation for the exact requirements. EufyMake’s support center includes an UL Exposure Assessment Report along with other safety and operating resources.
Common problems and what they mean
Ink scratches or peels
Likely causes include contamination, an incompatible coating, excessive flexibility, inadequate preparation, or an unsuitable ink configuration. Stop selling the affected application, test cleaning and pretreatment on scrap pieces, and validate adhesion after curing and handling.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Banding, gaps, or missing colors
These symptoms can indicate misfiring or clogged nozzles, poor maintenance, ink starvation, calibration problems, or contamination around the printhead. Follow the current E1 troubleshooting guide instead of using unapproved cleaning methods.
Uneven or unattractive texture
Fine details, weak height-map contrast, excessive layers, an uneven object, or overly ambitious settings can create lumpy surfaces and soft edges. Simplify the texture map, enlarge important details, reduce unnecessary layers, and test on the production material.
Curved artwork is distorted
Curved-object printing requires the appropriate rotary workflow. Incorrect setup, an unsupported diameter, poor registration, or artwork that was not prepared for cylindrical projection can stretch or misalign the design. Test on a disposable blank before using a saleable object.

It is a poor fit for someone who wants functional 3D parts, prints only a few times a year, needs inexpensive flat stickers, expects home-office simplicity, lacks a suitable workspace, or requires industrial throughput. If you cannot identify several profitable products before purchasing, outsourcing is usually the safer way to test demand.
Use this pre-purchase checklist
- Verify the current price in your region.
- Confirm exactly what each bundle includes.
- Check whether ink and cleaning supplies are included.
- Price replacement ink, cleaning materials, and printheads.
- Confirm software and operating-system compatibility.
- Check printer and accessory shipping dates separately.
- Review return policy and warranty geography.
- Test the intended blanks for adhesion and durability.
- Confirm that the desired rotary or film accessory is available.
- Compare ownership cost with outsourcing.
Alternatives to consider
Outsourced UV printing
This is usually best for occasional projects, prototypes, or a new business that has not established predictable demand. You avoid maintenance, ink inventory, printhead risk, and workspace requirements, but pay more per unit and lose some control over turnaround and experimentation.
Conventional UV flatbed equipment
Established production businesses may need larger beds, higher throughput, and a more industrial support ecosystem. Such systems generally require more capital, space, installation, and maintenance, and may not offer the E1’s consumer-oriented texture workflow.
UV DTF transfers
Transfers can be more practical for irregular or curved objects that are difficult to position beneath a printhead. They add film and lamination steps, and their feel and durability differ from direct printing.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Laser engraving
A laser is a better choice for durable monochrome marking, cutting, and engraving. It does not reproduce the E1’s combination of full color and raised UV-ink texture, and it has its own material-safety and fume-control requirements.
Conventional 3D printing
Choose filament or resin printing when the goal is a freestanding model, functional component, or genuinely three-dimensional object. The E1 is about decorating and texturing surfaces, not replacing that fabrication method.
Verdict
The EufyMake E1 is potentially transformative for small-batch tactile artwork and personalized products, but it is not a cheap general-purpose printer. Its strongest case is a regular-use business or studio that can turn full-color, direct-to-object relief into a premium product. Its weakest case is occasional hobby use, especially when the buyer has not budgeted for ink, cleaning, testing, workspace controls, and possible printhead problems.
Buy the E1 for the specialized capability—not for the “3D printer” label or the lowest advertised entry price. Before ordering, verify the current regional bundle, consumables, warranty, accessory availability, and the performance of your intended materials.
