The eufyMake E1 is a specialized desktop UV printer for makers who want to print full-color graphics directly onto objects and add shallow, raised texture. It does that in a package far smaller and less costly than typical professional UV equipment, but it is still a substantial purchase with ink, maintenance, workspace, and software considerations. It makes sense when direct-to-object printing and tactile effects are central to your work—not if you mainly need paper prints or basic stickers.

  • DURABLE PREMIUM FABRIC: Made from thick, high-quality textured fabric that resists wear and deformation. More durable than ordinary dust covers for long-term indoor use.

What the eufyMake E1 does—and what it does not

The E1 deposits UV-curable ink onto a surface and uses ultraviolet light to cure it. Because the ink cures during printing, the result is not like a wet ordinary inkjet print that must dry. Stacking ink layers can also create raised texture. In practical terms, the process combines inkjet-style image making with layer-by-layer curing; it is not a filament or resin 3D printer.

  • Direct-to-object (DTO): The design is printed directly on a suitable object.
  • Direct-to-film (DTF): The design is printed on film for applications such as transfers or stickers.
  • Flatbed printing: An object or material is placed on the flat printing platform.
  • Rotary printing: A suitable cylinder is rotated during printing.
  • 3D texture: Raised ink on a surface—not a free-standing object or arbitrary solid geometry.

eufyMake advertises up to 5 mm of texture height and resolution up to 1,440 DPI on its E1 product page. Those are maximum specifications, not a promise that every design, surface, or job will achieve them.

Specifications and workspace needs

The E1 is more compact than commercial UV flatbeds, but “personal” does not mean an ordinary office printer. It weighs about 20 kg according to the current product page, and needs stable space for the printer, objects, access, and cleaning.

Item Published information Qualification
Ink channels CMYK, white, and gloss Confirm the configuration against the current manual.
Resolution Up to 1,440 DPI Manufacturer specification.
Texture height Up to 5 mm Advertised maximum; not arbitrary relief on every object.
Supported image formats JPG, PNG, TIFF Listed in the indexed user guide.
Maximum stated speed 1.2 m² per hour Indexed user-guide figure; mode, coverage, layers, and texture affect actual job time.
Dimensions and weight About 590 × 250 × 407 mm; 20 kg Current product-page figures.
Manual dimensions and weight About 595 × 242 × 395 mm; 15 kg Figures in an indexed manual differ from the current product page.
Operating environment 15–35°C; 20–85% relative humidity Indexed manual information.
U.S. electrical input 110–120 V, 50/60 Hz Manual specification; check the documentation for your region.

The difference between manual and product-page dimensions and weight is worth checking when planning a shelf or workstation. Allow additional clearance to load objects, open panels, route cables, ventilate the area, and perform maintenance. The official support hub provides the V8260 guide, setup and printing videos, cleaning instructions, and safety documentation.

Print quality and raised texture

Independent hands-on coverage reported successful prints on a range of materials, strong image quality, and accurate positioning after calibration. In one test, the reviewer estimated positioning accuracy at about 0.5 mm; that is an individual observation, not a certified accuracy specification. The same review found the camera-assisted placement workflow useful once calibrated (Hackster’s hands-on review).

Raised ink can give lettering, logos, illustrations, and decorative pieces a tactile finish, or imitate brushwork. The software’s AI-assisted height-map tools may help create or modify texture effects, but they do not remove the need to inspect and test a relief file. Texture generally uses more ink and takes longer than a flat image; fine raised details may also be vulnerable to rough handling or flexing.

Color and durability should be evaluated on the actual blank. Substrate color, surface preparation, white-ink underlayers, gloss, print profile, and lighting all affect the result. The “100% color accuracy” language in the 2025 launch announcement is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified measurement (launch announcement). A cured print is not automatically scratch-proof, waterproof, dishwasher-safe, or suitable for outdoor exposure. Test adhesion and wear under the conditions the finished item will actually face.

Materials: broad capability, not universal compatibility

eufyMake lists metal, wood, acrylic, ceramic, stone, glass, canvas, leather, fabric, and film among compatible material categories. The Hackster reviewer also reported printing on canvas, wood, ceramic magnets and coasters, PCB material, sticker film, metal bottles, plastic, 3D-printed parts, cardboard, and paper. This breadth is useful, but a material list is not a guarantee that every object made from that material will print well.

Material or object Potential use Check before production
Ceramic Magnets, coasters, decorative pieces Adhesion and resistance to washing or repeated handling.
Wood Signs and plaques Porosity, flatness, and surface preparation.
Metal Promotional objects and décor Coating, cleanliness, and abrasion resistance.
Acrylic Signs and decorative work Surface condition and scratch resistance.
Canvas Art and decorative prints Texture, ink absorption, and how the surface sits on the bed.
Plastic or 3D-printed parts Branded components and custom pieces Polymer compatibility, surface finish, and adhesion.
Film Sticker or transfer workflows Film compatibility and any finishing or handling requirements.
Fabric or leather Flexible applications Flexing can affect adhesion or crack raised details; test the exact material.
Mugs and bottles Personalized cylinders via rotary attachment Shape and size restrictions; the rotary workflow has no camera positioning.

Surface cleanliness, flatness, porosity, warping, height, and coating all matter. Hackster notes that the surface should be fairly flat, with total height variation within approximately 2 mm for positioning. That is a surface-geometry constraint, distinct from the advertised 5 mm of buildable texture. A print that initially adheres may still fail after bending, abrasion, oils, sunlight, or washing.

Do not treat printing on a mug, plate, or tumbler as evidence that a printed area is safe for food contact. Keep decorative exterior printing separate from food-contact use unless the manufacturer’s current documentation explicitly permits the intended application.

Setup and day-to-day workflow

The basic setup described in hands-on coverage is installing the cartridges and flatbed, allowing calibration and priming, linking the printer in the app, then preparing a job. The reviewer reported printing within roughly an hour, while noting that calibration and priming took time; that is one person’s experience, not a guaranteed setup duration.

  1. Choose the location: Use a stable, level surface with appropriate ventilation, nearby power, and room to load objects and access the machine.
  2. Install the printer components: Follow the current V8260 guide for cartridge and flatbed installation; do not substitute guessed controls or procedures.
  3. Complete calibration and priming: Let the machine finish its initial procedures before an important job.
  4. Connect the software: Link the machine using the current app or desktop workflow and check what account or network access it requires.
  5. Prepare and position the job: Confirm the object is clean, secure, and within the applicable bed and height limits; use the camera placement workflow where available.
  6. Run a small test: Verify alignment, adhesion, color, and texture on a representative blank before producing a batch.
  7. Follow care guidance: Use the manufacturer’s automatic, manual, or deep-clean procedures as directed, and plan for ink storage and maintenance between jobs.

Exact current software labels and button paths can change; use the official guide and support videos rather than relying on a menu path copied from an older software version.

Software, camera, and ownership considerations

The camera is one of the E1’s most practical features: it helps users position artwork in relation to an object on the bed. The independent reviewer found it useful and accurate after calibration. The workflow also includes design preparation, file imports, a design library or community content, and AI-assisted artwork or height-map features.

Software dependence deserves attention before a business relies on the machine. The reviewer could not identify a way to load a file directly onto the printer and raised the possibility that dependence on app or desktop software could become an ownership concern if services change. That is a risk to investigate, not evidence that the E1 is currently unusable offline. Before buying, verify the current app and desktop software names, supported operating systems, account and internet requirements, cloud-dependent features, and whether a job can be started locally if a service is unavailable. Preserve original artwork, height maps, and job settings; check commercial-use rights for any AI-generated or library artwork you intend to sell.

Rotary printing: useful, but shape-limited

The rotary attachment can extend printing to mugs, bottles, and other suitable cylinders, but it is not a universal mug printer. In Hackster’s review, the object generally needed to be an open-ended cylinder with a wide mouth and mostly straight sides. Many thrifted bottles did not fit, the camera was unavailable during rotary printing, and manual positioning required extra care. Official eufyMake blanks worked in the reviewer’s tests.

  • Check the object’s shape and dimensions against the current rotary instructions before buying blanks.
  • Prefer a straight-sided, compatible cylinder rather than assuming a tapered, handled, or irregular vessel will work.
  • Make a low-cost test print on the exact blank before accepting a batch order.
  • Include the time required for manual positioning when estimating throughput.

Ink, maintenance, and the real cost per item

The E1 uses cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, plus white and gloss channels and a cleaning cartridge. White ink is useful for dark substrates and some texture workflows, but adding white coverage, gloss, or multiple relief layers can change ink consumption substantially. Cleaning, purging, failed jobs, and idle-period care also affect the cost beyond the visible artwork.

A Hackster review from the 2025 launch period reported that eufyMake planned a $299 kit with 100 ml cartridges, and calculated about $0.50 per ml from that historical kit price. Those figures are not current pricing. Check the live ink catalog, materials catalog, accessories catalog, and Care page for current options and terms.

On August 18, 2026, the opened U.S. product page showed $2,409 for the selected configuration. Earlier indexed product-page content showed $2,199 for the printer alone and about $2,499 for a basic bundle. These are configuration- and date-dependent price signals, not fixed current prices; Kickstarter prices of $1,699 early bird and $1,899 for a standard basic bundle were launch-era offers in April 2025. Check the live product page for the configuration and price available to you.

Razzi Fidel 9-Tier 3D Printer Filament Storage Rack, Holds Up to 54 1kg Spools, Space-Saving Carbon Steel Spool Holder Organizer with Anti-Tip Kit, Modular Maker Workspace Storage System, Tool-Free Assembly
  • 1. [ UP TO 54 SPOOL CAPACITY ]: Designed to hold up to 54 standard 1kg filament spools when fully assembled. Most tiers accommodate approximately 5–6 spools. Actual capacity may vary depending on spool width, vacuum-sealed bag valves, boxed packaging, and other filament packaging styles.
  • 2. [ HIGH-CAPACITY STORAGE WITH A COMPACT FOOTPRINT ]: Provides large-capacity filament storage while using minimal floor space. Overall dimensions are approximately 80.7” H × 16.7” W × 11.8” D (205 × 42.5 × 30 cm), making it suitable for workshops, print farms, classrooms, offices, maker spaces, and home 3D printing setups.
  • 3. [ MODULAR DESIGN WITH ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT ]: Build the rack to fit your workspace. The modular structure allows users to assemble fewer tiers when a lower height is preferred, creating a storage solution that adapts to different room layouts and accessibility needs.
  • 4. [ FILAMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ]: More than a filament rack, it functions as a filament organization and inventory management system. Organize spools by material type, color, brand, project, or usage frequency. Many users dedicate upper tiers to backup inventory, middle tiers to everyday materials, and lower tiers to frequently accessed spools. The instruction manual includes printable label files designed by the product designer. The labels support custom text and colors and can be printed by users with multi-color 3D printing setups, such as printers equipped with an AMS, for easier filament identification and organization.
  • 5. [ COMPATIBLE WITH MOST FILAMENT TYPES ]: Designed primarily for standard 1kg spools and compatible with many 200g, 300g, and 500g spools. Suitable for PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, Nylon, ASA, PC, and most common 3D printing materials.

Build a job-level estimate rather than relying on sample profit figures. eufyMake’s illustrative per-unit calculations use assumed retail prices and marketplace-average material prices, not guaranteed margins. A practical worksheet is:

True cost per finished item = blank object + ink consumed + cleaning or purge allowance + film or laminate (if used) + failed-print allowance + labor + packaging + marketplace and payment fees.

Track at least a light substrate CMYK job, a dark substrate job with white, and a gloss or texture-heavy job. Their ink and time needs can differ enough that one average cost per print will mislead. Add shipping, tax, replacement parts, warranty limits, and the cost of downtime to a business budget.

Maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting

Use the current manual and safety materials available from the official support hub for procedures and limits. Pay attention to UV-light exposure, ink and cleaning-fluid contact, ventilation, waste disposal, keeping children and pets away, and operating the printer with its cover and safety features in place. Do not infer safety for food-contact surfaces or other regulated uses from the fact that a decorative object can be printed.

Symptom Possible causes Practical next step
Misaligned print Calibration issue, object movement, or unsuitable surface Recalibrate, secure the object, check surface flatness, and run a small test.
Poor adhesion Dirty, oily, porous, curved, or incompatible surface Prepare the substrate as directed and test a representative blank before production.
Smearing or incomplete cure Process, contamination, lamp, or print issue Do not use the affected part; check settings and maintenance status, then follow official support guidance.
Weak or missing channel Infrequent use, dried ink, maintenance issue, or cartridge problem Check cartridge seating and follow the prescribed automatic, manual, or deep-cleaning procedure.
White or gloss channel problem Channel-specific blockage or cartridge issue Inspect cartridge seating and use the documented channel-care procedure.
Rotary print offset Object fit, roller engagement, or manual positioning Use a compatible cylinder and test positioning on an inexpensive blank.
Texture looks weak Height-map contrast, layer setup, or unsuitable artwork Review the height map and test the relief workflow on the intended surface.
Ink cost is higher than expected Cleaning cycles, white or gloss coverage, texture layers, or failed jobs Track ink use and waste by job rather than estimating from image area alone.
App or software unavailable Account, network, service, or compatibility issue Check documented offline behavior and preserve source files before depending on the machine commercially.
Job fails mid-print Object movement, cartridge, maintenance, software, or mechanical fault Record the settings and photograph the fault; diagnose it before repeating the job.

Is the E1 a good tool for a small business?

It could suit personalized gifts, small-batch promotional items, ceramic magnets, decorative plaques, branded 3D-printed parts, raised-art pieces, or film-based applications. The case is strongest when customers will pay for direct printing on objects or tactile finish that simpler craft tools cannot produce.

Before treating it as production equipment, validate throughput, batch consistency, blank sourcing, adhesion and cure under real use, maintenance downtime, print-head or replacement-part availability, and warranty coverage. Also account for ventilation, design rights, reprints, customer returns, and the time required to position objects. A positive craft-fair use case in a review is an opinion, not proof that a particular business will be profitable.

Which alternative fits better?

Option Better fit when you need What you give up
Cricut or similar cutter Vinyl cutting, paper crafts, labels, decals, and simpler flat personalization. It does not replace full-color UV printing directly on rigid objects or raised UV texture.
Ordinary inkjet printer Paper, photographs, and documents at lower complexity. It is not a direct-to-object UV printer and does not create cured raised texture.
Outsourced UV printing Occasional work, prototypes, or validating customer demand before buying equipment. Less convenient for rapid iteration, one-off experiments, or same-day customization.
Professional UV flatbed An established production operation needing higher throughput, broader material handling, service, and consistency. Typically requires far more capital, space, infrastructure, and operator capacity.
Sublimation workflow Suitable blanks and an established transfer workflow. It is limited to compatible materials and applications; it is not equivalent to direct UV printing or raised texture.

Who should buy the eufyMake E1?

  • A hobby maker: Consider it if printing on varied objects and experimenting with raised artwork are core projects, and you can accommodate maintenance and workspace needs.
  • An Etsy or craft-fair seller: Consider it after testing actual blanks and calculating ink, cleaning, labor, packaging, and reprint costs per finished item.
  • A 3D-printing shop: It may add branding or color to suitable printed parts, but check the polymer’s adhesion and the software workflow before promising repeatable results.
  • An occasional DIY user: Outsourcing is likely more practical if you only need a few custom items now and then.
  • A production business: Compare throughput, service arrangements, and consistency needs with professional equipment before committing to the E1 as a production line.

Buy it for the specific capability: full-color direct-to-object printing with tactile UV texture. If your actual need is paper, basic vinyl, or infrequent personalization, simpler tools or an outsourced job are more sensible. Before ordering, price the live configuration and consumables, verify that your materials and shapes fit the workflow, and test the cost of a finished item rather than extrapolating from a sample margin.
