Measure the counter before choosing a layout
Measure the exact section of vanity where the organizer will sit, not the entire countertop. Record three clearances:

- Width: the uninterrupted left-to-right space after accounting for the sink, faucet, wall, and anything that must remain in place.
- Depth: the distance from the backsplash or wall to the front edge. Leave enough counter in front of the organizer to use the sink comfortably.
- Height: the space below a mirror, cabinet, shelf, or light fixture. Include the height of pump tops and caps, not just the storage stand.
For a circular caddy, measure the available width and depth in both directions; its diameter is the footprint. For a rack, compare the listed width and depth with the usable rectangle on your counter. Set up and maintain the organizer without creating new clutter
