In 2025, Freepik was most compelling for creators who wanted premium stock assets and AI tools in one subscription. A G2 pricing listing showed Free at €0, Premium at €15 per month, and annual Premium at €108 for the year. Those are documented price signals—not guaranteed prices for every country or date. Freepik also promoted unlimited generation for eligible Premium+ and Pro users, but that did not necessarily mean unlimited access to every model or tool.
This is a historical look at Freepik in 2025. Its former pricing page now redirects to Magnific, so current prices and terms should not be mistaken for 2025 offers. Check the former official pricing URL and the current Magnific pricing page for present-day information.
Freepik pricing in 2025
The clearest available 2025 price snapshot appears on G2, which listed Free at €0, Premium monthly at €15, and Premium annual at €108. The annual price works out to about €9 per month when averaged across 12 months; it was an annual charge, not a €9 monthly subscription.

What Freepik offered
Freepik in 2025 was more than a stock-image directory. Its creative resources included photos, vectors, PSDs, icons, templates, mockups, and video, alongside AI image creation and editing, enhancement and upscaling, and other generative tools. That breadth made it attractive to people who wanted to find an asset, adapt a design, or generate a visual without switching between several services.
The trade-off was that breadth did not guarantee best-in-class results in every category. A stock library, an AI image generator, an editing tool, and a team design platform each solve different problems. Evaluate them separately rather than treating a subscription as one uniformly capable product.
What the plans were for
Free
The free plan was the sensible starting point for occasional exploration and noncommercial use. Free users could access free content, but not the full premium library, and stock downloads were limited. Attribution was generally required for free assets. AI access was more restricted than on paid plans. Do not assume that a free asset is cleared for commercial use: check its specific license and attribution requirements before using it in a client project, advertisement, or product.

Freepik’s current successor documentation describes a free tier with limited daily access, free content, attribution, and a 10-download-per-day limit. Those details are useful context for how the distinction works today, but they should not be backdated as definitive 2025 terms. Read the current plan documentation.
Premium
Premium was the likely mainstream choice for users who regularly needed premium stock content, more access than the free tier, and commercial use under the applicable license. It also included AI access subject to the plan’s terms and limits. Do not treat Premium as an unlimited-AI plan: the 2025 unlimited-generation reporting centered on Premium+ and Pro, not a blanket promise for every tier or tool.
Premium+ and Pro
These higher tiers were aimed at frequent AI creators and higher-volume professional work. Freepik promoted unlimited AI image and video generation for eligible paying users in 2025, particularly Premium+ and Pro. That claim needs careful reading: unlimited generation for selected models is not automatically unlimited access to every model, resolution, video mode, editing feature, or output type. It also does not mean unlimited stock downloads or priority speed. TechRadar reported on the 2025 unlimited-generation rollout.
The available dated evidence does not establish exact 2025 Premium+ or Pro prices or all of their plan conditions. For a decision, confirm which models and tools were included, what counted against credits, any fair-use controls, and the terms in the checkout offer rather than relying on the word “unlimited.”

Business and enterprise use
Team or business requirements deserve separate scrutiny. An individual commercial subscription is not the same thing as centralized billing, multiple seats, administrative controls, or enterprise support. The available 2025 pricing evidence does not establish a universal business or enterprise price. Ask the provider to confirm seat counts, permitted client work, rights, administration, and support for the specific account.
AI credits and the meaning of “unlimited”
AI credits and stock-download limits are separate systems. Generating or editing content with certain tools may use credits; downloading a stock file does not necessarily do so. Credit cost can vary by tool, model, resolution, duration, and output type. Image generation, video, upscaling, audio, or advanced editing can therefore have different costs.
A practical example: a plan might allow unlimited generation with selected image models while video generation, upscaling, audio, or use of a premium model still consumes credits. Before a large batch, check the displayed cost for the exact tool and settings. Current documentation distinguishes stock downloads from AI-credit use, but current rules should not be assumed to describe every 2025 allowance. “Unlimited” is a plan-and-tool claim, not a promise of unlimited everything. In 2025, check which models qualified, whether video was included in the stated benefit, whether advanced modes still used credits, and whether fair-use limits, queues, speed, or availability varied. A policy might also change during an annual term. The 2025 announcement supports the existence of the promotion, but not every operational detail a buyer would need.

Licensing: what to check before publishing
Commercial-use permission is not the same as unrestricted ownership or a right to resell a source file. Before using an asset, verify:
- Which asset it is: Free and premium resources may have different requirements.
- Attribution: Determine whether credit is required and where it must appear. A paid plan should not be assumed to change the terms for an asset downloaded earlier under a free license.
- How it will be used: Check permission for client work, advertising, merchandise, and other commercial contexts.
- Redistribution: Do not assume you can resell or share a stock file as a standalone asset.
- AI output: Confirm the terms for the specific tool and plan; AI output does not automatically carry unrestricted commercial rights.
Keep a record of the asset’s license and the subscription or plan active when you downloaded it. When a use is consequential—especially merchandise, resale, or client work—read the applicable license rather than relying on a plan summary.

Review evidence is mixed by product area, and it should not be collapsed into a single verdict. G2 review material repeatedly points to ease of use, variety, asset availability, and convenience for posters, marketing, and social content as positives. Complaints include premium cost, difficulty finding some specialized material, limits on free resources, inconsistent AI image quality, and missing or limited features. G2’s Freepik reviews include comments from different product eras, including older reviews, so they are not all direct evidence of the 2025 experience.
G2’s AI marketplace profile reports positive feedback around text-to-image and workflow speed, alongside weaker satisfaction for AI video and specialized imagery. Those findings describe that platform’s respondents, not every Freepik customer. Reviews are self-selected, may cover different tools and time periods, and can include different types of users. Is Freepik worth it?
- Casual user: Start with Free if you only need occasional assets. Pay only if free limits, attribution, or access to premium content interfere with regular work.
- Freelancer or designer: Premium can make sense if you repeatedly use premium assets and its license covers your client work. Track which assets came from which plan.
- Social-media marketer: The combination of templates, stock, and AI may save workflow time when you publish often. Check whether the search results and formats suit your brand.
- AI-heavy creator: Consider Premium+ or Pro only if the eligible unlimited models match your work and you understand which other tools consume credits. If most of your output is video, test that workflow and its restrictions before committing annually.
- Agency or business buyer: Verify seats, client rights, administration, billing, and support directly. A creator plan may not meet team or procurement needs.
- Specialized stock buyer: If you need editorial, technical, highly authentic, or rights-managed imagery, search a sample of your actual subjects before subscribing. A broad library may not be the right specialist source.
Freepik was a weaker fit if you needed only one or two stock files, wanted highly predictable per-output AI costs, or required mature team administration. Its central value was breadth, so the subscription paid off most when one person or team used several parts of the product regularly.
Alternatives by workflow
- Canva: Consider it for end-to-end layouts, presentations, social posts, brand kits, and team collaboration. Freepik historically leaned more toward downloadable assets and AI tools. Canva pricing.
- Adobe Stock: A natural comparison for stock imagery and video in an Adobe-centered professional workflow. Adobe Stock plans.
- Shutterstock: Compare it when stock content and established licensing categories are the priority rather than a bundled template-and-AI workspace. Shutterstock pricing.
- Vecteezy: Worth comparing for vector- and illustration-heavy work or simpler stock needs. Vecteezy pricing.
- Envato Elements: Consider it when you need a broad asset marketplace covering templates, video, music, graphics, fonts, and other resources, with project-specific licensing. Envato Elements pricing.
- Adobe Firefly: Compare it if you prioritize an AI-generation workflow integrated with Adobe tools over a stock-and-template marketplace. Adobe Firefly.
Do not compare headline prices without matching billing periods, included assets, AI allowances, licensing, and team needs. Current prices on these providers’ pages are not evidence of their 2025 prices.
Annual billing, cancellation, and refunds
The €108 annual Premium listing lowered the average monthly cost but required an annual purchase. Before checking out, verify the renewal date and price, whether a promotion applies only to the first term, what cancellation stops (future renewal versus current access), and whether unused credits expire. If you subscribed through an app store, account management may follow that store’s process.
Refund and cancellation terms can change. Current successor documentation describes conditional refunds, generally requiring a request within 30 days, and possible ineligibility after downloads or AI-credit use. That is current documentation, not proof of the exact 2025 policy. Read the terms attached to your purchase; the current refund-policy help page is a starting point for present-day accounts.
