Gemini Storybook is a feature inside the Gemini app that turns a prompt, uploaded photos, drawings, PDFs or other files into a short illustrated digital book. A typical result is about 10–12 pages, can be read aloud with selectable voices, revised through follow-up prompts, shared by link and, on the web, printed or saved as a PDF.
Google introduced Storybook in August 2025, so in 2026 it is an established Gemini capability rather than a brand-new standalone app. Access still depends on age, country, language, account type and rollout status.
What Gemini Storybook creates
Storybook generates page-by-page text and artwork from a natural-language request. You can describe a fictional plot, turn a family memory into a story, use a pet photograph as character inspiration, or transform a document into a visual explanation. Google presents examples for children and adults, including travel memories, career changes and language learning.
Google’s help documentation says finished books are usually 10–12 pages; the launch announcement described a 10-page book. Generation may take roughly one to two minutes. See Google’s [Storybook overview](https://gemini.google/storybook) and [help instructions](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/16434396).

- COMPLETE 5-PIECE BRUSH SET FOR EVERY PAINTING TASK — Includes 1 Inch Flat, 1.5 Inch Angle, 2 Inch Flat, 2 Inch Angle Stubby, and 2.5 Inch Angle brush giving you every size professional painters use daily. Get all 5 for less than the price of a single brush from hardware store brands — professional grade performance at a fraction of the cost. Perfect for walls, trim, cabinets, doors, furniture, and detailed cutting-in work on any project.
- ZERO BRISTLE LOSS — GUARANTEED BY PRECISION ADHESIVE BONDING — Every bristle is locked in place with precision-set adhesive that keeps them in the brush — not in your paint job. The coated steel ferrule provides structural support while the adhesive bond ensures clean performance on every stroke. Premium SRT synthetic filaments load more paint and release it evenly for a smooth streak-free finish on walls, ceilings, and trim. Works with latex, oil-based paint, primer, sealer, and wood stain.
- INCLUDES THE ANGLE STUBBY MOST SETS LEAVE OUT — Professional painters know the 2 Inch Angle Stubby is the go-to brush for tight cabinet interiors, window sashes, inside corners, and detailed trim where standard angle brushes are too long. Combined with the 1.5 and 2.5 inch angle sash brushes you have precision cutting-in covered at every scale — baseboards, crown molding, door casings, and ceiling lines.
- FLAT BRUSHES FOR BROAD SMOOTH COVERAGE ON ANY SURFACE — The 1 and 2 inch flat brushes deliver even coverage on walls, furniture, shelving, doors, fences, decks, and wood surfaces. Ideal for applying primers, stains, varnishes, polyurethane, and specialty coatings. Solid wood handles provide all-day comfort and control for both professional contractors and weekend DIY homeowners tackling interior or exterior painting projects.
- TRUSTED BY PROFESSIONAL PAINTERS AND CONTRACTORS NATIONWIDE — Pro Grade delivers professional-grade results at a price that makes sense for crews who go through brushes on every job. Ideal for property managers, remodeling contractors, apartment turnover crews, maintenance teams, and commercial painting operations. Backed by thousands of verified reviews from working painters. Washable and reusable for multiple projects.
What you can do after generation
- Select Listen to hear narration and choose an available voice.
- Ask Gemini to change the plot, tone, audience, language or illustration approach, then generate another version.
- Use Previous version and Next version to move among generated versions.
- Share a public
g.co/gemini/sharelink. - On the web, choose Share → Print and select Save as PDF in the browser print dialog.
It is not a conventional page-layout editor. Google says you cannot directly edit text on an individual page; changes are made by asking Gemini to regenerate the story, which can alter other pages and illustrations too.
Who can use it?
You must be signed in to Gemini, and Google’s current documentation says Storybook is unavailable to users under 18. An adult can create a story for a child, but a child cannot currently use the feature directly under that eligibility rule. Availability can also differ by country, language, account type and rollout.
Storybook may be available in a language even when read-aloud narration is not. Workspace and Student accounts have additional restrictions: Google says they cannot share storybooks. Use a personal account if you need the public-link sharing option.

Free Gemini or a paid Google AI plan?
Google’s U.S. subscription page lists Storybook among Gemini capabilities but does not state that a paid plan is required specifically for it. Usage limits and access can vary by plan and region, so test the feature with the account you intend to use before subscribing.
| Plan | U.S. price signal | Who it may suit |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/month | Occasional stories and trying the feature; limits apply. |
| Google AI Plus | $4.99/month | Users wanting higher Gemini limits without Pro-level cost. |
| Google AI Pro | $19.99/month | Frequent Gemini users who also want broader Google AI features and integrations. |
| Google AI Ultra | Starting at $99.99/month | Heavy users seeking the highest limits and early access to advanced features. |
Prices above are the U.S. figures shown on Google’s [subscription page](https://gemini.google.com/advanced) and may change by country, date or promotion. A subscription is difficult to justify if your only goal is an occasional 10–12-page story.

The story is unsuitable
Do not rely on the age label alone. Read every page, request a rewrite with clearer constraints, and review the revised version again before sharing or using it with children.
Bottom line
Gemini Storybook is a fast way to turn an idea or personal source material into a narrated, illustrated book of roughly 10–12 pages. Its strengths are speed, personalization and conversational revision; its boundaries are limited editing, variable consistency, language-dependent narration and public-link privacy risks. Start with the free Gemini experience, and consider a paid plan only if your account’s limits—not Storybook itself—become the problem.
