For a digital Happy New Year 2025 greeting, social post, or design, start with an image that suits the message and the space where it will appear. Check its crop and the license on the specific asset page before using it. Examples include an Unsplash photograph published on December 21, 2024, and a Pixabay illustration labeled “AI Generated”; neither represents every image available on its platform.
Choose a background for its style and placement
Decide first what the image needs to do: carry a greeting, provide a decorative backdrop, or sit behind text. Then compare candidates on four practical points:
- Style and color: Choose a look that fits the message, such as a celebratory illustration or a photograph. Check whether the colors leave enough contrast for any text you plan to add.
- Placement and crop: Consider where the design will appear and whether the image can be cropped to fit that space without cutting off important details. The sources do not establish a universal resolution or the specifications for every asset, so inspect the selected image itself.
- Source: Free image libraries and stock-image categories are different ways to look for artwork. Unsplash and Pixabay have surfaced examples; Adobe Stock has a New Year’s image category. The available information does not provide a like-for-like price comparison.
- Asset-specific terms: Read the license for the exact image rather than assuming a platform’s general rules cover content on another site.
