Hostinger’s AI Logo Maker can create a quick starter logo, but it is not necessarily free to access: Hostinger says an active AI Agents subscription is required, even though logo downloads are free.

Hostinger AI Logo Maker is a logo-design feature inside Hostinger AI Agents, accessed through Business Advisor—not necessarily a completely free, standalone logo website. Hostinger says logo downloads are free, but its FAQ also says an active AI Agents subscription is required to use the logo-design skill. It is a practical option for a quick starter logo, especially if you are already building a website with Hostinger, but it is not a substitute for professional brand design or trademark clearance.

What is Hostinger AI Logo Maker?

Hostinger positions its logo maker as one of the skills available through Business Advisor, part of Hostinger AI Agents. The wider AI ecosystem is intended to help with business strategy, content, SEO, marketing, and website-related tasks, while Business Advisor handles the logo workflow.

This distinction matters. You should not assume that Hostinger offers a completely independent logo-making app that anyone can use without a Hostinger account or subscription. The current product page directs users to Business Advisor for logo creation: Hostinger AI Logo Maker.

Is Hostinger AI Logo Maker really free?

Hostinger says the finished logo package can be downloaded for free, but access to the logo-design feature requires an active Hostinger AI Agents subscription.

In practical terms, “free” appears to mean that Hostinger does not charge a separate fee for downloading the logo after it has been created. It does not necessarily mean unrestricted access without payment. Treat these as two different questions:

  • Is there a separate logo-download fee? Hostinger says no.
  • Can you use the logo-design skill without an AI Agents subscription? Hostinger says an active subscription is required.

Do not use Hostinger’s promotional Website Builder prices as proof of the AI Agents price. Hosting prices vary by country, currency, tax, billing term, and renewal period, and they are not automatically the price of AI Agents. Check the local checkout page before buying: Hostinger pricing.

How to make a logo with Hostinger

Hostinger describes a four-stage process:

  1. Enter your brand information. Provide the company or brand name, slogan, and industry.
  2. Describe the design. Explain the preferred style, imagery, mood, colors, typography, and intended use.
  3. Choose a generated option. Select the direction that best fits the brand.
  4. Edit and download it. Adjust the available elements, then download the finished files.

A useful prompt is specific without becoming overloaded:

“Create a clean, friendly logo for a neighborhood bicycle-repair shop called Northside Cycle. Use a simple wheel icon, dark navy and warm orange, a readable sans-serif typeface, and a design that works at small sizes.”

Before generating, specify the exact spelling of the brand name, whether the slogan is essential, the target customer, preferred colors, where the logo will appear, and whether it must work in one color. Also state whether you want an icon, a wordmark, or a combination of both.

What can you customize?

Hostinger says users can modify the slogan, layout, font, and icon size in its logo editor. That is enough for basic refinement, but the available information does not establish that the editor provides the detailed vector controls found in a professional design application.

Do not confuse two separate workflows:

  • Logo editor: creates and adjusts the AI-generated logo.
  • Website Builder: uploads, positions, and resizes a finished logo on your website.

Hostinger’s current FAQ also says you cannot upload your own image into the logo-generation process. That is a limitation if you need to preserve an existing mascot, sketch, family crest, product image, or legacy symbol. You can still upload an externally created logo to Hostinger Website Builder.

What files do you get?

Hostinger says the logo package includes high-resolution PNG and SVG files.

  • PNG: useful for websites, social profiles, and images that need transparency.
  • SVG: a scalable vector format that is preferable for resizing, print, signage, and responsive use.

Hostinger’s page gives examples such as a 160 × 160 pixel website-header logo and 16 × 16 to 48 × 48 pixel favicon sizes. These are placement examples, not universal export requirements. Preserve the original SVG when available, and confirm the actual download package before relying on a particular format for print production.

JPG is not listed by Hostinger’s logo page as a primary package format, so do not assume it is included.

How to add the logo to a Hostinger website

To add an existing logo in Hostinger Website Builder:

  1. Open the website in Hostinger Website Builder.
  2. Select the header section.
  3. Choose Edit header.
  4. Open the Logo tab.
  5. Select Replace image.
  6. Choose an image from the media library or upload your PNG or SVG.

Use the header controls to reposition or change the logo width. If the logo is not visible, open Elements and select Show logo. For an online store, Hostinger also documents a separate path under Store settings → Company information, where a logo can appear on invoices.

The Website Builder can manage placement and size, but Hostinger’s support documentation says it currently cannot edit or style the logo image itself. Make substantive design changes in the logo tool or an external editor.

See Hostinger’s instructions for adding or changing a logo.

Can you use the logo commercially?

Hostinger states that its generated logos are royalty-free for commercial and non-commercial use and that users own the logo files and design. That is Hostinger’s stated licensing position.

It is not the same as a guarantee of trademark registration, exclusivity, or protection from similarity claims. Before investing heavily in a brand, check whether the icon resembles common stock symbols, whether a competitor has a similar mark, and whether the design is distinctive enough for your market. A trademark professional can advise on clearance and registration.

Also inspect the result for incorrect lettering, awkward AI-generated shapes, generic iconography, and poor readability at small sizes. “Royalty-free” does not automatically mean legally unique.

What to do if the generated logo looks poor

Try a simpler direction rather than adding more adjectives. For example:

  • Request a flat, uncomplicated design.
  • Specify one main icon and one or two colors.
  • Ask for a readable font rather than a vague “modern” or “professional” style.
  • Generate separate icon-only and wordmark-only directions.
  • Request a version that works in black and white.
  • Test the result as a favicon, mobile header, and social avatar.
  • Check the spelling of the brand name and slogan carefully.

If several attempts remain generic or unsuitable, move to a broader design editor such as Canva or Adobe Express, try a dedicated brand-kit service such as Looka, or hire a designer.

Limitations

  • An active AI Agents subscription is required for the logo-design skill.
  • It is not clearly an unrestricted, standalone free logo service.
  • You cannot currently use your own image in the logo-generation workflow.

  • Hostinger’s ownership language does not guarantee trademark uniqueness or registration.

Hostinger compared with other logo makers

Tool Best for Free-access signal Main difference from Hostinger
Canva General-purpose design and marketing assets Free logo maker advertised Broader drag-and-drop editing, but review the license for each element used in a commercial logo.
Adobe Express Users wanting Adobe fonts, templates, and editing tools Free logo workflow advertised More mature general design ecosystem; the logo-maker flow states downloads at 500 × 500 pixels.
Looka Dedicated logos and brand kits Generation or preview is advertised as free More focused on brand identity, with promoted SVG, EPS, social, and business-card assets; verify checkout pricing.
Wix/Wixel Free logo creation with PNG and SVG downloads Free plan and AI credits advertised More explicit free-plan messaging, but account-level AI limits may apply.
Shopify Logo Maker Ecommerce founders wanting a basic logo Shopify says it is completely free More clearly positioned as a free standalone tool, but it is template-oriented rather than a full identity service.

The right comparison is not simply the monthly price. Consider subscription access, PNG and SVG availability, manual editing, asset licensing, brand-kit depth, website integration, upload support, and how well the mark works at small sizes.

Who should use Hostinger AI Logo Maker?

Use it if you already use Hostinger, need a basic logo quickly, have limited design experience, and are comfortable with a guided AI workflow. It is particularly sensible for a freelancer, side project, early-stage service business, or first website where speed matters more than a highly distinctive identity.

Choose another option if you need a logo without an AI Agents subscription, want to upload existing artwork, require extensive vector editing, or need a complete brand kit. For a trademark-sensitive company, franchise, funded startup, product line, or established business, professional identity development and legal clearance are safer choices.

Final verdict

Hostinger AI Logo Maker is best understood as a convenient logo feature inside Hostinger AI Agents. It can produce a usable starter logo and fits naturally into a Hostinger website launch, with Hostinger stating that PNG and SVG downloads and commercial use are included.

Its biggest catch is the definition of “free”: Hostinger says downloads are free, but an active AI Agents subscription is required to access the logo-design skill. Choose it when Hostinger integration and speed are more important than deep design control. Choose Canva or Adobe Express for broader editing, Looka for a dedicated brand-kit workflow, Wixel or Shopify for a more explicit free-entry option, or a professional designer when the logo is a long-term strategic asset.
