Indonesia’s official logo and theme for its 80th Independence Day commemoration were launched by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace in Jakarta on 23 July 2025. The theme was “Bersatu Berdaulat, Rakyat Sejahtera, Indonesia Maju”—roughly, “United, Sovereign, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia.” The anniversary was commemorated on 17 August 2025.
What the logo represented
The Ministry of State Secretariat presented the logo as the identity for the national anniversary events. Its stated spirit was “Dimiliki Bersama, Dirayakan Bersama” (“Owned Together, Celebrated Together”). The ministry described its intended narrative as beginning with unity, being realized in public welfare, and moving toward a more advanced future. This is the government’s explanation of the concept, rather than a set of design rules.
President Prabowo described the theme at the launch as an expression of the aspirations of a great nation: “We want all Indonesians to unite, be sovereign, and experience prosperity in a tangible way. From there Indonesia will continue to move forward.” This is an English translation of his remarks, not a verbatim English statement.

Who designed and selected it
The Ministry of State Secretariat said the Ministry of Creative Economy initiated the selection process in collaboration with the Indonesian Graphic Designers Association (ADGI), and named Bram Patria Yoshugi as the winning designer. The Cabinet Secretariat also reported that multiple parties and alternative designs were involved, and that the President selected the winner. The official accounts do not establish further details about the design process.

The Ministry of State Secretariat said its event guide contained the logo, theme and visual guidance for central and local government offices, Indonesian missions abroad and the public. For the official artwork and applicable rules, use the ministry’s channels, including hut80ri.setneg.go.id, rather than relying on third-party reposts. The ministry’s announcement confirms that guidance was provided, but does not itself specify detailed requirements such as color values, minimum size or clear space.
