What the Wanderers clubhouse fit-out included
The project combined two practical requirements found in a busy sports facility: enclosed wet-area rooms and continuous changing-room seating. Duracube’s project materials describe the work as toilet and shower partitioning plus heavy-duty bench seating for the Western Sydney Wanderers FC clubhouse at the Centre of Football.
| Element | Reported quantity or specification |
|---|---|
| Toilet partitions | 9 pedestal-mount overhead-braced (POB) partitions |
| Shower partitions | 7 POB partitions |
| Bench seating | 42 linear metres of wall bench seating with coat rail |
| Partition and seating material | Durasafe compact laminate |
| Colours | 401 Midnight and Red Apple |
These are project figures reported by Duracube in its spotlight material. They describe the listed scope, not an independently measured survey or a performance test.
Why the brief suited a sports clubhouse
A clubhouse serving elite teams, youth competitions and community activity has to support changing, showering and circulation by many different groups. In its project spotlight, Duracube says the Centre of Football includes nine elite training pitches, change rooms, physiotherapy facilities, a gymnasium, offices and a media centre. The same description says the site hosts international teams and youth tournaments and runs community programs.

That context explains the shape of the brief without proving how heavily any individual room is used. The specified work separates private toilet and shower areas while providing a long, fixed seating run for people changing or preparing equipment. A wall-mounted configuration can also keep a clear floor line beneath the seat, although the project documents do not state the clearance, support details or cleaning schedule used at this site.
What toilet and shower partitions were installed?
Nine POB toilet partitions
The listed toilet scope is nine pedestal-mount overhead-braced partitions. “POB” identifies the partition arrangement named in Duracube’s project material; the documents do not publish cubicle dimensions, door hardware, pedestal heights, privacy gaps or accessibility layouts. Those details would need to be confirmed from the construction drawings and the applicable requirements for the building.

Seven POB shower partitions
Seven POB shower partitions were specified for the shower area. The source does not say whether the bays were identical, whether changing screens were included, or how plumbing, falls and floor wastes were coordinated. For a comparable project, the partition schedule should be read alongside the wet-area plan so that panel joints, door swings and service access are resolved before fabrication.
Toilet and shower partitions are counted separately because the room conditions and user movements can differ even when the same partition family is used. Here, the reported totals are nine toilet units and seven shower units; they should not be read as a count of complete rooms, fixtures or showers unless the final drawings define those items that way.

How much bench seating was installed?
Duracube reports 42 linear metres of wall bench seating with a coat rail. Linear metres describe the length of the seating run rather than the number of seats. The project materials do not state seat depth, height, rail diameter, bracket spacing, end panels, corner conditions or the number of hooks.
For a sports changing area, those missing dimensions matter to coordination. The seating length must be checked against door clearances, circulation routes, lockers, equipment storage and cleaning access. A coat rail also needs a defined mounting height and load allowance in the detailed specification. None of those design values is published for the Wanderers installation, so they should not be inferred from the 42-metre figure.
What material and colours were used?
Durasafe compact laminate
Duracube identifies Durasafe compact laminate as the material for the specified partitions and seating. The supplier says the products were selected for strength and durability and for ease of cleaning with a mop and hose. That is Duracube’s explanation of the selection, not independent evidence that the installed components achieved a particular service life, impact rating or hygiene result.

Compact laminate is a product category, not a complete installation specification. A project team still needs the panel thickness, edge treatment, fixing method, core classification, hardware grade and manufacturer’s cleaning instructions. The Wanderers case material does not provide those values. Treat the named material as the basis for the supplier’s quoted scope and request the full technical submittal before using it as a template for another facility.

1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems401 Midnight and Red Apple
The two listed colours are 401 Midnight and Red Apple. Duracube says they were chosen to match the Western Sydney Wanderers logo and brand scheme. The colour names identify the selected finishes; they do not establish a particular gloss level, colour standard, batch tolerance or sign-off process. For a new project, colour samples should be approved against the interior palette and lighting conditions before manufacture.
Where is the project and who delivered it?
The listed address is 81 Eastern Road, Rooty Hill NSW 2766. Duracube names AMA Projects Pty Ltd as the builder and IA Design as the architect. Duracube is the supplier identified in the project materials and states that it installed the partitioning and seating.
The documents do not provide a detailed programme, handover certificate or exact completion date. They state that the project was “Delivered and installed project on time during Covid restrictions.” Because no named speaker or role is given for that sentence, it is best understood as a statement in Duracube’s project spotlight rather than an independently verified schedule record.
How the Centre of Football context affects specification
The Centre of Football is described by Duracube as an 11-hectare development beside Bungarribee Park. Its spotlight lists nine elite training pitches alongside change rooms, physiotherapy, a gymnasium, offices and a media centre. It also describes community programs and visiting international teams and youth tournaments.

For designers, the useful lesson is not that every sports facility needs the same quantities. It is that wet-area partitions and seating sit inside a larger operational system. The partition count should be coordinated with peak team occupancy, cleaning zones and accessible facilities. The bench length should be checked against the number and type of users, locker layout and equipment movement. The case study supplies the Wanderers quantities, but it does not state the occupancy calculation behind them.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to confirm when planning a similar fit-out
1. Establish the room and user schedule
Start with the number of teams, expected overlap between sessions, staff requirements and community use. Record toilet cubicles, shower bays, accessible rooms and any referee or staff areas separately. Do not use the Wanderers totals as a rule of thumb; they are the quantities reported for one clubhouse.
2. Draw the partition interfaces
Show wall lines, floor falls, wastes, plumbing access, door swings and cleaning routes. Ask the partition supplier to identify where pedestals, overhead bracing and wall channels meet finished surfaces. Confirm which elements are included in the partition package and which are supplied by the builder or plumbing contractor.
3. Define the seating run
Dimension each straight run and corner, then coordinate the 42-metre-style requirement with lockers, circulation and equipment storage. Specify seat height and depth, support spacing, end conditions and coat-rail position. If the seating is wall mounted, verify the substrate and fixing design rather than assuming that every wall can accept the same brackets.
4. Approve material and colour samples
Request the exact compact-laminate construction, thickness, edge finish and hardware schedule. Approve physical samples of the proposed colours in the actual lighting environment. If a club identity is important, document the approved colour references and the location of any logos before production.

5. Set cleaning and maintenance rules
Duracube presents mop-and-hose cleaning as a reason for the selected products. The project team should still obtain the manufacturer’s written cleaning instructions, including permitted detergents, water temperature, contact time and restrictions around edges or hardware. A cleaning method should be agreed with the facility operator before handover.
6. Coordinate delivery around site operations
Confirm access, storage, protection of finished panels and installation sequencing with the builder. The Wanderers spotlight says the work was delivered and installed on time during Covid restrictions, but it does not disclose the programme or the coordination measures used. A new contract should state milestones, inspection points, defects procedures and responsibility for protecting completed work.
What this case study does—and does not—demonstrate
The case documents a defined commercial fit-out: nine POB toilet partitions, seven POB shower partitions, 42 linear metres of wall bench seating with coat rail, Durasafe compact laminate, and the colours 401 Midnight and Red Apple. It also identifies the site, builder, architect and supplier’s account of delivery during Covid restrictions.
