Procreate is presented by its maker as an iPad app, not a Windows PC app. If you want to use Procreate itself, the official route is an iPad; if you need to stay on Windows, choose a Windows drawing application instead.
Is Procreate available on Windows?
The official product page calls the app “Procreate for iPad,” describes it as made for iPad, and directs users to the App Store. Procreate’s product catalog lists Procreate for iPad, Procreate Dreams, and Procreate Pocket for iPhone; it does not list a Windows edition.
This reflects the official product information reviewed, rather than an explicit developer statement that every possible unofficial workaround is impossible. The supported product path shown by Procreate is the iPad app.

What are your options as a Windows user?
- Use Procreate on an iPad. Procreate describes the app as made for iPad and identifies Apple Pencil as a drawing accessory. Check Procreate’s current product information and the iPad’s compatibility before buying hardware; the sources reviewed here do not establish a current minimum iPad model or stylus compatibility list.
- Stay on Windows and use a Windows drawing app. Choose software based on your preferred drawing tools, input hardware, workflow, file interchange needs, and budget. Verify Windows compatibility and pen support with the software maker before purchasing.
A Windows computer does not become a supported Procreate device by adding a stylus or tablet accessory. Those can be used with Windows drawing software, while Procreate’s official product information points to iPad.
Can an emulator or virtual machine run Procreate on Windows?
The official sources reviewed do not establish support for running Procreate through a Windows emulator, virtual machine, or another workaround. Do not rely on such a setup as an officially supported way to use the app, and be cautious of sites offering a “Procreate for Windows” download.

Can I use Procreate on Windows with exported artwork?
Using exported artwork on a PC is a separate question from running the Procreate app. The sources reviewed for this article do not verify specific export formats or how well they work in Windows applications.
