EDU named the pseudonymous artist KORVIUM the winner of its 2024 Digital Art Contest for Skullduggeries, a collection of 10,000 golden, Fabergé-inspired jeweled skulls. EDU’s contest page listed a $100,000 USD prize, payable in Ethereum (ETH). The organization announced the winner on July 31, 2024, and said KORVIUM was scheduled to meet its Secretary-General in Brussels later that year; it did not say that a prize ceremony took place there.

What is Skullduggeries?
EDU describes it as a digital collection of 10,000 golden, Fabergé-inspired jeweled skulls. KORVIUM’s own collection page calls them unique skull NFTs and says the collection was announced as the winner in July 2024, before public release. The artist page links to OpenSea and Rarible, but those links alone do not establish whether any particular item is currently listed or available.
In a statement attributed to KORVIUM in EDU’s announcement, the artist presents the skull as a symbol that is shared across humanity while remaining individual. The collection’s 10,000 distinct skulls, the statement says, echo the idea that people are unique yet have more in common than separates them. EDU reproduces the statement but does not provide a separate interview date or transcript.
