The Le Cob bath was identified in an Architecture & Design item dated 9 May 2011 as being made with Corian solid surface in the Glacier White colour supplied by CASF Australia. That record confirms the material and colour, but it does not establish the bath’s designer, location, dimensions, fabrication method, installation details or present availability.

CASF still lists Glacier White as a current Corian solid-surface colour. Its current product information gives sheet thicknesses, available formats, weights, translucency and sourcing options. Those specifications are useful for understanding the material reference, but they should not be treated as specifications for the 2011 bath itself.
What the 2011 Le Cob bath record confirms
The indexed Architecture & Design listing is titled “Corian solid surface in Glacier White from CASF Australia used for Le Cob bath” and is dated 09 May 2011. The wording identifies three facts:
#1 Best Overall
- COMPLETE 5-PIECE BRUSH SET FOR EVERY PAINTING TASK — Includes 1 Inch Flat, 1.5 Inch Angle, 2 Inch Flat, 2 Inch Angle Stubby, and 2.5 Inch Angle brush giving you every size professional painters use daily. Get all 5 for less than the price of a single brush from hardware store brands — professional grade performance at a fraction of the cost. Perfect for walls, trim, cabinets, doors, furniture, and detailed cutting-in work on any project.
- ZERO BRISTLE LOSS — GUARANTEED BY PRECISION ADHESIVE BONDING — Every bristle is locked in place with precision-set adhesive that keeps them in the brush — not in your paint job. The coated steel ferrule provides structural support while the adhesive bond ensures clean performance on every stroke. Premium SRT synthetic filaments load more paint and release it evenly for a smooth streak-free finish on walls, ceilings, and trim. Works with latex, oil-based paint, primer, sealer, and wood stain.
- INCLUDES THE ANGLE STUBBY MOST SETS LEAVE OUT — Professional painters know the 2 Inch Angle Stubby is the go-to brush for tight cabinet interiors, window sashes, inside corners, and detailed trim where standard angle brushes are too long. Combined with the 1.5 and 2.5 inch angle sash brushes you have precision cutting-in covered at every scale — baseboards, crown molding, door casings, and ceiling lines.
- FLAT BRUSHES FOR BROAD SMOOTH COVERAGE ON ANY SURFACE — The 1 and 2 inch flat brushes deliver even coverage on walls, furniture, shelving, doors, fences, decks, and wood surfaces. Ideal for applying primers, stains, varnishes, polyurethane, and specialty coatings. Solid wood handles provide all-day comfort and control for both professional contractors and weekend DIY homeowners tackling interior or exterior painting projects.
- TRUSTED BY PROFESSIONAL PAINTERS AND CONTRACTORS NATIONWIDE — Pro Grade delivers professional-grade results at a price that makes sense for crews who go through brushes on every job. Ideal for property managers, remodeling contractors, apartment turnover crews, maintenance teams, and commercial painting operations. Backed by thousands of verified reviews from working painters. Washable and reusable for multiple projects.
- The bath is called Le Cob.
- Its stated material is Corian solid surface.
- The stated colour and Australian source are Glacier White from CASF Australia.
The accessible record does not provide a product number, drawing, photograph with measurable scale, designer attribution, project address, bath capacity, wall thickness, internal dimensions, drain specification or installation method. It also does not show whether the bath was a one-off fabricated piece, a commissioned design or part of a continuing product range. No evidence establishes that the bath remains on sale.
That distinction matters because a historic project reference is not the same thing as a current catalogue listing. The 2011 item can identify the material used in that project; it cannot by itself prove that a matching Le Cob bath can now be ordered.
What Glacier White means in the current CASF range
CASF’s current Glacier White page lists the colour as a Corian solid-surface sheet in Price Group A. The page describes the colour as suitable for indoor or outdoor spaces; that is the supplier’s product claim, not a project-specific finding about the Le Cob bath. It also marks the colour as non-translucent.

Current Glacier White sheet specifications
The following figures come from CASF’s current Glacier White product page and should be rechecked before a new specification or quotation is issued. Sheet dimensions are material formats, not the dimensions of the Le Cob bath.
| Thickness | Listed sheet formats | Listed sheet weight | What the figure can and cannot tell you |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 mm | 2490 × 760 mm; 2490 × 930 mm | 11 kg/m² | These are the two listed 6 mm formats. The source does not state that this thickness was used for Le Cob. |
| 12 mm | 3658 × 760 mm; 3658 × 930 mm; 3658 × 1500 mm | 21 kg/m² | These are the listed 12 mm formats. They describe stock-sheet options, not a finished bath wall or base thickness. |
| 19 mm | 3658 × 1300 mm | 32 kg/m² | This is the listed 19 mm format. No project document identifies it as the Le Cob specification. |
The weights are area-based sheet figures. For a rough handling calculation, multiplying the listed kilograms per square metre by the sheet area gives the material weight before cutting, openings, waste, supports or other components. Actual fabricated assemblies will differ, so lifting and structural decisions require the fabricator’s calculations.
How to interpret the thickness and size information
Thickness is not a recovered bath specification
A 6 mm, 12 mm or 19 mm entry tells you what CASF currently lists for Glacier White. It does not tell you which thickness appears in the historic bath. A bath may use one thickness throughout, a combination of thicknesses, built-up edges or a separate support structure, but none of those details is documented for Le Cob.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsDo not reverse-engineer a wall thickness from the sheet catalogue. A fabricator would normally need the proposed geometry, spans, support conditions, access route, waste location and finishing requirements before selecting material thickness and construction details. Those engineering and fabrication decisions are absent from the available 2011 record.

Sheet length is not bath length
The 2490 mm and 3658 mm figures are the listed sheet lengths. A finished bath could be cut from one or more sheets, joined, shaped or supported in ways that cannot be inferred from the catalogue dimensions. The 1500 mm and 1300 mm widths similarly describe available stock formats, not the bath’s external width or internal bathing area.
Weight should be used for logistics, not assumed structure
CASF lists 11 kg/m² for 6 mm, 21 kg/m² for 12 mm and 32 kg/m² for 19 mm. Those values are useful when estimating sheet handling and transport. They are not a structural certification for a bath, and they do not include framing, backing, plumbing, fixtures, packaging or installation equipment.
What is known about sourcing in Australia
CASF provides sample ordering and a “Where to buy” route on its current Glacier White page. A NSW Government supplier profile describes CASF Australia as the exclusive national distributor of Corian Solid Surface in Australia and says the business provides technical advisory and project support. The profile also lists services including shop drawings, renders and fixed quotes.

A useful sourcing request
- Identify the colour as Corian Glacier White and state that the reference is the Le Cob bath material noted by Architecture & Design on 9 May 2011.
- Ask which 6 mm, 12 mm and 19 mm formats are currently available for your location, and request the current price group and lead time.
- Request a physical sample because a screen image cannot establish the final appearance under your lighting.
- Provide preliminary bath drawings or a clear concept so the fabricator can assess sheet yield, joins, access and support requirements.
- Ask for the current technical documents relevant to composition, safety, care, product specifications, testing and fabrication.
- Confirm who is responsible for fabrication, plumbing coordination, delivery, lifting, installation and any site protection.
CASF’s technical-document index lists material safety data, composition, care and maintenance, product specifications, test results and fabrication resources. Use those current documents, rather than the historical headline, for decisions about fabrication and compliance.
Do not confuse the bath with a current CASF basin
CASF currently lists a 304 Topmount Basin in Glacier White. It is related colour and material context, but it is not evidence that the Le Cob bath is still sold.
| Item | What the available information says | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Le Cob bath | Named in the 9 May 2011 Architecture & Design item as using Corian solid surface in Glacier White from CASF Australia. | Current sale status, dimensions, designer, construction, installation or price. |
| 304 Topmount Basin | Current CASF product listing; suggested sell price of $541.80 excluding GST for the basin only. | It is not the Le Cob bath and does not prove availability of a matching bath. |
For the basin, CASF states that seamless integration and installation are excluded, waste is not included, and stock or lead times can differ for other colours. The listed price should be confirmed with CASF because product prices and availability can change.

The available evidence does not identify the bath’s designer or architect, project location, date of fabrication, production quantity, dimensions, volume, plumbing arrangement, support system, fabrication workshop or installation contractor. It also does not establish whether “Le Cob” is a commercial model name, a project nickname or a single commissioned object.

There is no basis for assigning a particular Glacier White thickness to the bath, claiming that it was thermoformed, or describing seams, joints, edge details or reinforcement. Those are common questions when attempting to reproduce a solid-surface bath, but answering them would require project documentation or a direct statement from the designer, fabricator or owner.
How to verify a restoration or reproduction brief
If you are documenting the bath for conservation, specifying a visual reproduction or investigating whether an original survives, separate historical verification from current material procurement.
- Keep the Architecture & Design title and 9 May 2011 date as the starting reference for the material identification.
- Seek original project drawings, photographs, invoices or fabrication records that can establish dimensions and construction.
- Ask CASF whether it retains archival information about the material supply, colour naming or fabricator associated with the project.
- Have a qualified solid-surface fabricator inspect any surviving bath before proposing repairs or a replacement. Do not assume that current sheet formats match the original stock.
- Compare a current Glacier White sample with any surviving finish under the intended bathroom lighting.
- Obtain a written quotation that separates sheet material, fabrication, reinforcement, plumbing components, delivery, lifting, installation and taxes.
This process prevents a current colour listing from being mistaken for proof of historical construction.

Using the information in an architectural specification
A responsible preliminary specification can identify “Corian solid surface, Glacier White, CASF Australia” and cite the current sheet options as alternatives to be confirmed. It should leave the bath geometry and fabrication method open until drawings and a fabricator’s review are available.
- Material: Corian solid surface.
- Colour: Glacier White.
- Current listed thicknesses: 6 mm, 12 mm and 19 mm.
- Current listed formats: 2490 × 760 mm and 2490 × 930 mm at 6 mm; 3658 × 760 mm, 3658 × 930 mm and 3658 × 1500 mm at 12 mm; 3658 × 1300 mm at 19 mm.
- Current listed weights: 11 kg/m², 21 kg/m² and 32 kg/m² respectively.
- Optical description: non-translucent; confirm the installed appearance with a physical sample.
- Fabrication: to be designed and documented by a qualified fabricator using current CASF technical resources.
- Availability: confirm through CASF’s current sample and “Where to buy” channels.
That wording preserves the known material reference without inventing a bath specification that the historical record does not contain.
Bottom line on the Le Cob bath material
The defensible identification is narrow but clear: the 2011 Architecture & Design listing attributes the Le Cob bath to Corian solid surface in Glacier White from CASF Australia. CASF’s current Glacier White page supplies useful present-day sheet data—6 mm, 12 mm and 19 mm options, listed formats, weights and a non-translucent colour description—but it does not reveal how the historic bath was built or whether the bath remains available. Treat the bath as a documented project reference, and treat any new specification, quotation or reproduction as a separate project requiring current CASF documentation and qualified fabrication advice.
