Its free Basic plan includes 10 Lumens per day, but the number of generations that buys depends on the model and action. What PicLumen offers
PicLumen describes its service as a broader creative platform, rather than only a text-to-image generator. Its stated features include text-to-image and image-to-image generation, video generation from text or images, music and audio generation, canvas editing, templates, workflows, and community publishing and remixing.
Canvas features include AI replacement, background removal, and upscaling. Available capabilities vary by model: do not assume that every model supports every generation or editing workflow. Check the model’s current options in PicLumen before building a process around a particular feature.

How to generate an image
- Open PicLumen’s image-generation workspace and choose an available model.
- For text-to-image, describe the subject, setting, composition, lighting, mood, and other details that matter to your brief.
- For image-to-image, provide an image you are entitled to use and describe the changes you want. Check that the selected model supports this workflow.
- Generate and review the result. Refine it with available editing tools if needed, keeping in mind that tool access varies.
- Before sharing or using the result commercially, check the applicable plan terms and PicLumen’s current rules.
For design work, include functional constraints in the prompt, such as space for a headline or a neutral background for a product concept. Treat the result as a draft to review rather than assuming it is a finished, accurate deliverable.
Free access and Lumens
PicLumen’s About Us page and FAQ state that the free Basic plan includes 10 Lumens per day. Lumens are platform credits, and consumption varies with the chosen model and generation or editing action. The FAQ also says generation is subject to daily limits, so 10 Lumens does not translate to a fixed number of images.
Paid plans have different Lumen allocations and may vary in generation modes, queue and concurrency limits, canvas allowances, and Relax Mode access. The plan design and included features can change; check PicLumen’s current pricing page for the workflow and model you intend to use.

Compare the cost and Lumen use for your intended model and workflow, as well as monthly versus annual billing, before subscribing.
Commercial use: check the plan and the content
PicLumen’s pricing page says Basic has no commercial-use rights. It describes Lite as offering a limited commercial license, Standard as offering full commercial licensing, Pro as offering full licensing with extension rights, and Elite as offering business-level commercial licensing. These are PicLumen’s descriptions; check the current plan terms to understand the exact scope before relying on them.
PicLumen’s FAQ says users may use commercially only content they generated themselves; another user’s public content may be used as a reference, not directly as a commercial asset. The FAQ places responsibility for legal compliance on the user and states: “PicLumen makes no warranty regarding the originality or legal fitness of generated content for any specific commercial use.” A platform license is not a guarantee that a result is original or legally suitable for a particular project.

- Confirm that your plan permits the intended commercial use.
- Use source images and other inputs you have the right to use.
- Do not treat another user’s public creation as your own commercial output.
- Review the current terms and keep relevant project and licensing records.
Choosing a model and workflow
PicLumen says its platform provides access to a broad model catalogue, but available models and capabilities can change. Rather than relying on a static model list, consult the live selector and check that the chosen model supports the task you need, such as image-to-image or a particular editing function.

When comparing plans or models, consider the Lumen cost of your intended workflow, queue and concurrency limits, whether the required editing features are available, the commercial license scope, and billing and cancellation terms. PicLumen’s pricing page says subscription Lumens generally reset each billing cycle, describes exceptions for eligible Lumen Vault plans, and states subscriptions are nonrefundable; check its current terms before subscribing or cancelling.
Who might find PicLumen useful?
PicLumen may suit artists, designers, and content creators exploring AI-assisted image ideas, editing, video, or audio in one platform. The free daily Lumens provide a way to try the service, but the number of actions available depends on what you do and which model you use.
