What is the Points of Interest quilt?
Points of Interest is a ten-block sampler-style quilt designed by Lori Miller and published as a block-of-the-month project by American Patchwork & Quilting and AllPeopleQuilt. The blocks are released in pairs across five magazine installments, with the finishing instructions included alongside the final pair. The editors describe the design this way: “This quilt looks complicated but it’s just 10 different blocks!” American Patchwork & Quilting and AllPeopleQuilt
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Designer | Lori Miller |
| Finished quilt | 64 1/2 × 80 1/2 inches |
| Finished blocks | 10 different blocks, each 8 inches square |
| Featured fabrics | Texture by Sandy Gervais for Riley Blake Designs, in blue and green tones |
When were the blocks released?
The pattern was published in five installments. The schedule follows the magazine issues, rather than one block per month; the project page describes the broader run as October 2025 through August 2026. Patterns appear in the magazine first and are made available online after the issue is off sale.
Rank #2
| Installment | Blocks and instructions |
|---|---|
| October 2025 issue | Blocks A and B |
| December 2025 issue | Blocks C and D |
| February 2026 issue | Blocks E and F |
| Spring 2026 issue | Blocks G and H |
| Summer 2026 issue | Blocks I and J, plus quilt-finishing instructions |
For readers joining after an installment has passed, the online release-after-sale approach means the project can also be tackled as a catch-up or at-your-own-pace quilt, once the relevant patterns are available online.
How can you cut and plan the quilt?
The project provides two cutting routes: conventional rotary cutting and AccuQuilt die cutting. Choose the one that suits your tools and preferred workflow; the project includes instructions for both methods.

- Orders are despatched from our UK warehouse next working day.
- Rotary cutting: Use the rotary-cutting instructions to cut fabric with a rotary cutter, ruler, and cutting mat.
- AccuQuilt: Follow the separate die-cutting instructions if you prefer to cut pieces with an AccuQuilt system.
An EQ8 bonus project lets you audition fabric placements and estimate yardage before cutting. It is useful if you want to test color combinations or plan a recolored version, but the yardage it calculates is an estimate.

The original colorway uses blue and green Texture fabrics by Sandy Gervais for Riley Blake Designs. You can source the named fabrics yourself or look for a prepared kit. One documented seller’s original blue-and-green kit includes one yard each of Texture Denim, Navy, Aqua, Glacier, Key Lime, and Turtle, plus four yards of Texture White; it is described as covering the quilt top and binding. That seller also lists a recolored Heirloom version. Kit inventory can change, so confirm contents and availability with the seller before ordering. Kit details from the seller

If you want a different palette, EQ8 provides a way to preview fabric placement before committing to cuts. The blue-green original is the published color direction; recoloring is a planning choice rather than a separate pattern.
