AllPeopleQuilt’s free Precuts Cutting Chart is a printable quick-reference aid for cutting pieces from precut quilting fabric. Its page is dated June 2, 2015. Check the chart against your pattern and the actual fabric before cutting: the chart’s detailed entries have not been verified here, and pinked-edge measurements can vary by manufacturer.
What the precut cutting chart is for
AllPeopleQuilt describes the chart as something to print and display in a sewing space for quick reference when cutting from precuts. It is a general aid, not a substitute for the cutting instructions in a particular quilt pattern.

The chart page is dated June 2, 2015. Its linked PDF has not been inspected, so exact chart dimensions, cut yields, and conversions cannot be confirmed here. Do not rely on an assumed chart entry without checking the printable itself.
How to use it without miscutting fabric
- Start with the pattern. Use the project’s own cutting chart or instructions to determine the required pieces and quantities.
- Check the fabric you have. Compare the actual precut dimensions with the dimensions your project requires before cutting.
- Use the printable as a lookup aid. Confirm any relevant entry on the chart itself; do not treat a general reference as proof that every pattern uses the same assumptions.
- Measure pinked edges consistently. Missouri Star notes that manufacturers may measure pinked fabric peak-to-peak or valley-to-valley, so a stated size may not align exactly with another manufacturer’s convention.
When a broader block reference may help
