The Pumpkin Star Place Mat is a quilted seasonal table project from American Patchwork & Quilting—not a ready-made placemat. The free pattern makes a finished mat measuring 12½ × 18½ inches, with a 12-inch-square pumpkin-star block at its center. It is available through the project page’s “Download this Project” control.
Finished size and pattern details
The completed place mat measures 12½ × 18½ inches. Its pumpkin-star block finishes at 12 inches square; the pattern measurements include ¼-inch seam allowances. The publisher describes place mats as a quick-to-make, easy-to-store choice for seasonal décor, but does not provide a skill level or estimated completion time.
The project page was updated September 3, 2025. It credits Cozy Up by Corey Yoder for Moda Fabrics, names Evening Harvest by Carole Carter of From My Carolina Home as inspiration, and credits Sarah Huechteman as quilt tester.

Gray floral rectangles added at the sides bring the block top to the place mat’s full dimensions.
