St. Patrick’s Day 2025 fell on Monday, March 17, so it has passed. If you’re looking for a card now, choose one as a belated greeting or save the ideas for a future celebration—not as a card that can still arrive in time for the 2025 observance.
What St. Patrick’s Day celebrates
Ireland’s official tourism site describes the occasion as a chance for people with Irish heritage and friends of Ireland to celebrate the country’s literature, music, culture, history and outlook on life. Ireland’s Office of Public Works calls it the official celebration of the country’s national holiday; people in Ireland and around the world mark Saint Patrick on March 17.
