Why the announcement highlighted metal-free film

- Request the film’s visible-light reflectance data and the glass type used for the comparison.

The article names no wavelength band, instrument, angle of incidence, glass assembly or laboratory.
Infrared is only one part of solar heat entering through glazing. A useful specification should separate solar-energy transmission, reflection and absorption and should identify the complete glass-and-film assembly. Ask for a current technical data sheet for the exact model and for the test standard used. If the supplier cannot provide those details, the 97% figure is best treated as historical marketing language rather than a design value.

What “up to 99.9% UV blocking” means for fading

2. Verify the current supplier and product
The 2010 announcement is not evidence that Sunscreen Window Tinting still supplies or installs these films. Confirm the business’s current trading status, location coverage, product authorization and warranty process independently. Obtain the exact 3M series and shade in the quotation.
3. Check compatibility before paying a deposit
