Photoshop CS6 version 13.0.6 is the final update for perpetual or boxed copies on macOS; the final Windows update is 13.0.1.3. Creative Cloud CS6 uses a separate 13.1.2 release, so choose the updater for both your operating system and license edition.
Adobe lists these as the latest CS6 updates on its legacy-version updates page. After updating, confirm the version in Photoshop’s About dialog.

The direct updater filenames and locations were shared by an Adobe Community Expert for perpetual-license CS6; Adobe’s legacy page confirms the version numbers but does not show direct download buttons for these old patch files. See the Adobe Community download reference.
Do not install 13.0.6 on Windows or apply Creative Cloud 13.1.2 to a perpetual-license installation. Neither update converts a perpetual copy into Creative Cloud.

Install through Photoshop
- Launch Photoshop CS6.
- Choose Help > Updates.
- Select the Photoshop CS6 update if it appears and install it.
- Restart Photoshop if requested.
For a perpetual installation, verify the final version in the About dialog: on macOS choose Photoshop > About Photoshop; on Windows choose Help > About Photoshop. The expected versions are 13.0.6 on macOS and 13.0.1.3 on Windows.

- Transformed text layers could receive inconsistent character and paragraph settings.
- While transforming type, values could display correctly in the Character panel but incorrectly in the Options bar.
- Text could retain an incorrect tracking value after transformation.
- Changing leading with the scrubby slider after a transformation could behave unpredictably.
- Multiline text could render incorrectly in saved PDF files.
The Windows update also addressed a crash involving Photoshop opening a Help URL from places such as the Color Picker or Layer Styles, and a Move Tool context-menu issue involving linked layers. See Adobe’s release announcement.
Common installation failures
“No updates available”
This can mean the installation is already at its platform-specific final version, the in-app updater no longer exposes the old patch, or the installed product is a different CS6 edition. Check the About dialog: the final perpetual versions are 13.0.6 for Mac and 13.0.1.3 for Windows.

U44M1P7, U44M2P7, or U44M1P6
These errors indicate an installation failure. Missing, changed, or damaged Photoshop files can prevent the patch from completing; disk-cleaning utilities may remove or modify files the updater needs. Adobe Community troubleshooting recommends this recovery sequence:
- Reinstall Photoshop CS6 from legitimate installation media.
- Avoid disk-cleaning or optimization software against the Photoshop installation.
- Run the standalone updater again.
- If the update still fails, check the installer log and repair the base installation before retrying.
DF045: File corruption detected
This error means the updater found a damaged or modified file. One reported example was a file at Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)\OBLRes\en_mx\Main.zdct. Repair or reinstall Photoshop CS6, then apply the patch to the repaired installation.

The update appears to roll Photoshop back
A failed update can leave Photoshop reporting an older version or cause the updater to incorrectly report that no update is needed. Treat the installation as incomplete, verify the About dialog, and repair or reinstall CS6 before trying the patch again.

Installing 13.0.6 does not make Photoshop CS6 compatible with current macOS versions. Apple says macOS Mojave 10.14 was the last macOS release to run 32-bit applications; Catalina 10.15 and later do not support them. Apple’s 32-bit app compatibility guidance explains the limit.

On Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma, Sequoia, or later, the 13.0.6 updater is not a reliable compatibility solution. Use an older supported macOS environment or a newer Photoshop release instead. This is an operating-system limitation, not a missing CS6 patch.
