It is also separate from later commercial KID PIX releases. The browser project offers a way to explore the early program’s playful, noisy experience; do not assume that features of commercial editions are available in JS Kid Pix.
How to start drawing
- Open kidpix.app.
- Choose a tool and experiment on the canvas. The project README says: “Just like the original Kid Pix, there’s no guide—have fun!”
- Try brushes, rubber stamps, shapes, and letters, and explore the sound effects as you go.
- Try holding Shift with a tool; the project README says most tools support Shift to enlarge them. Some features use modifier keys.

Sound and surprises
