Samsung’s Art Store is no longer exclusive to The Frame. The company began expanding access with its 2025 Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, and QLED televisions, then extended it in 2026 to additional Micro RGB, OLED, and Mini LED lineups. But “millions more TVs” does not mean every Samsung television now works like a Frame.
On eligible models, owners can browse Samsung’s licensed art catalog and use a limited free selection. The complete catalog requires a subscription, while The Frame remains the better fit for buyers who specifically want a gallery-style television with a matte display, sensors, interchangeable bezels, and dedicated art-focused hardware.
The short answer
- Yes: Samsung has expanded Art Store access beyond The Frame and The Frame Pro.
- No: The feature is not universal across all Samsung TVs.
- Free access is limited: Art Store Streams offers 30 rotating artworks each month.
- Full access is paid: Samsung’s US FAQ lists the subscription at $4.99 per month, though prices vary by country and plan.
- The Frame is still different: Art Store access does not automatically provide its matte screen, bezel system, sensors, or gallery-oriented design.
Samsung’s phrase “millions more TVs” is marketing language for a much wider range of compatible Samsung models, not an independently audited count of every television that can use the service.

Which Samsung TVs support the Art Store?
Confirmed 2025 expansion
Samsung announced Art Store access for its 2025 Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, and QLED lineups, alongside The Frame and The Frame Pro.
Confirmed 2026 expansion
Samsung’s 2026 investor materials say the service expanded to the 2026 Micro RGB, OLED, and Mini LED lineups. Samsung describes this as reaching the majority of its TV lineup, but it does not provide a complete consumer-facing list of every eligible SKU.
Samsung separately identifies the 2026 S95H as its first OLED television with Samsung Art Store access. The same announcement distinguishes it from the S90H and S85H, which should not be assumed to support the service.
Eligibility can depend on the exact model, country, release year, and software. Samsung’s support documentation advises checking whether the television supports the ART feature.

Art Store access is not the same as owning a Frame
There are four related but separate ideas:
- The Frame and The Frame Pro: Purpose-built art televisions designed to resemble wall-mounted artwork when not showing video.
- The Art Store: Samsung’s licensed catalog of digital artworks.
- Art Store Streams: A limited, rotating selection available without paying for the complete catalog.
- Art Mode: The television environment used to display art or, depending on the model, personal images and other content.
A compatible conventional Samsung TV may access the Art Store without reproducing the entire Frame experience. Depending on the model, it may not have The Frame’s matte or glare-reducing display, interchangeable bezels, motion and brightness sensors, low-power art behavior, or gallery-oriented physical design.
| Feature | Eligible expanded Samsung TV | The Frame / Frame Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Art Store catalog | Yes, on supported models | Yes |
| Free Art Store Streams | Supported on eligible models | Supported |
| Full catalog | Subscription required | Subscription required |
| Matte or glare-reduced art display | Model-dependent | Core product feature |
| Motion and brightness sensing | Model-dependent | Key Frame feature |
| Interchangeable bezels | Generally not standard | Available |
| Gallery-style design | Model-dependent | Central design purpose |
Samsung’s Frame product information describes these art-oriented features, while the S95H announcement presents Art Store access as one feature of a separate OLED product. Check the exact model’s specifications rather than assuming that catalog compatibility guarantees identical behavior.
What is free?
Samsung’s Art TV page says Art Store Streams refreshes with 30 complimentary artworks each month—more than 350 free works over a year. The selection includes art from artists and galleries, but it is not the full Art Store.
The accurate distinction is:
Compatible TVs can display a limited rotating selection for free; unlimited access to the Art Store catalog requires a subscription.

How much does the full Art Store cost?
Samsung’s US The Frame FAQ lists the Art Store membership at $4.99 per month. That is US pricing observed in August 2026, not a universal worldwide price. Samsung also offers monthly and annual membership options, with the available plans and billing terms potentially varying by market.
Samsung promotions may include temporary Art Store credits with eligible TVs. For example, its US promotion page lists credits of up to $50 or $100 for qualifying models, sizes, retailers, dates, and SKUs. Promotional terms can change, so verify them before buying.
At $4.99 per month, a year of uninterrupted US membership costs about $59.88 before any promotion or plan difference. That may be reasonable if the TV is used as visible décor every day; it is harder to justify if the owner only wants occasional artwork or personal photos.

How large is the catalog?
Samsung’s published numbers vary by page and date. Its 2025 expansion announcement cited more than 3,000 works; later Samsung publications cited figures above 3,500 and 4,000. Its 2026 Frame announcement says the service offers more than 5,000 works from over 800 artists, while another current US FAQ still says more than 4,000.
The safest conclusion is that Samsung currently markets the service as offering more than 5,000 works in its 2026 Frame materials, but the precise count changes over time and may differ by region. The catalog is a subscription library, not a marketplace where the customer permanently purchases and keeps each work.
What kind of art is available?
The catalog combines several types of content:
- Museum and gallery partnerships
- Art Basel-related selections
- Works associated with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Musée d’Orsay, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago
- Collections featuring artists such as Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat
- Collaborations including Tove Jansson’s Moomins
- Independent artists and cultural organizations
- Temporary or region-specific collections
That means the catalog is not a fixed collection. Permanent or recurring works, promotional collaborations, monthly free selections, and local licensing arrangements can all change. User-uploaded images are a separate option where the model and software support them.

For The Frame, Samsung documents this path:
- Turn on the TV and press the power button to enter Art Mode.
- Press the center or select button to open the Art Mode menu.
- Select Art Store near the upper-left of the main tab.
- Open Membership, to the right of Spotlight.

Menus on non-Frame televisions may use different labels or place the feature elsewhere. Samsung warns that interfaces and feature availability can vary by model and may change without notice.

Who should use the expanded Art Store?
The expansion is useful if you already own a compatible Samsung TV and want licensed artwork between viewing sessions, or if you like Samsung’s museum and gallery catalog but do not want to buy The Frame. It can work well in living rooms, offices, bedrooms, lobbies, and other spaces where an idle black screen is visually distracting.
The Frame remains the stronger choice when the television will be wall-mounted as décor, when glare reduction matters, or when you specifically want motion and brightness sensing, interchangeable bezels, and a dedicated gallery appearance.
The subscription is probably poor value if you only want personal photos, rarely leave the TV visible when not watching, are satisfied with the 30 monthly free works, or expect to permanently own downloaded artwork.
If a compatible TV does not show the Art Store
Possible explanations include:
- The exact model does not support the ART feature.
- The television belongs to a different regional lineup.
- The feature is unavailable in your country.
- The TV software, Samsung Account, or account region does not match the service requirements.
- You are looking for Art Mode when the model supports only limited ambient or art content.
Confirm the exact model number and region, update the TV software, sign in with a Samsung Account, and consult Samsung’s ART compatibility guidance. Do not assume that a broad family label such as “QLED” or “OLED” is enough.

Bottom line
Samsung has made its Art Store significantly more useful by bringing it to selected 2025 Neo QLED and QLED TVs and additional 2026 Micro RGB, OLED, and Mini LED models. But the expansion is about catalog access, not turning every Samsung TV into a Frame. Verify the exact model, distinguish the free 30-work monthly stream from the paid catalog, and choose The Frame only if its dedicated art hardware and gallery-style design matter to you.
