Crossing Point most commonly refers to Daniel Zirilli’s 2016 action-mystery thriller, in which an American man is forced to smuggle cocaine across the border after his partner is kidnapped in Baja. It is also the title of a separate historical novel by James Glickman, so the year and creator matter when identifying the work.
What is Crossing Point (2016) about?
The film follows Michael and Olivia, an American couple vacationing in Baja. When Olivia is kidnapped, Michael is ordered to transport cocaine across the Mexico–United States border to secure her release. The story unfolds under a reported 12-hour deadline while police in Tijuana investigate the kidnapping.

What does “crossing point” mean?
In ordinary English, a crossing point is a place where people cross a road, border or river. The film’s title fits its border setting, while the novel uses the phrase in a historical journey context. The title by itself does not identify which work someone means.
