Taylor Swift’s former Beverly Hills bungalow is the Pillsbury Estate, a reported early-1940s compound now presented with a more tailored, colorful interior. Its most distinctive rooms pair deep jade walls and a garden view in the home office with a pink-washed bath and dressing area; a new sunroom breakfast space adds a lighter transition to the grounds. These are contemporary design choices layered into a traditional house, not evidence of a documented, period-accurate restoration.
Which Beverly Hills home is this?
The property featured in 2026 coverage is the Pillsbury Estate, a Beverly Hills mini-compound often described as a bungalow. It is distinct from Swift’s separate Samuel Goldwyn estate and should not be confused with that home’s restoration history.
The Los Angeles Times reported in 2018 that the main house was built in 1941 and measured more than 2,800 square feet. That account described a three-bedroom main house, plus an en-suite bedroom in the guesthouse. Later coverage calls the property an early-1940s home or compound. The descriptions support its vintage character, but not a precise claim about which original materials or finishes survive.

What is the ownership and listing timeline?
- 2011: Swift reportedly bought the Pillsbury property shortly after Speak Now. The Los Angeles Times reported in 2018 that she paid just over $3.55 million.
- 2018: The Los Angeles Times reported an off-market sale to Nicolas Bijan Pakzad for $4 million. ELLE Decor later characterized the private sale price as not publicly known; the Times account is the contemporaneous report that gives a figure.
- 2026: Homes & Gardens, on October 2, and ELLE Decor, on September 30, reported the home listed with Sotheby’s International Realty for $7.995 million. That is an asking price reported at the time, not a confirmed completed sale; listing status and price may change.
Homes & Gardens and ELLE Decor say Swift reportedly wrote 1989 at the property. Treat that as reported lore rather than an independently established fact. ELLE Decor also identifies the house as the setting for Vogue’s “73 Questions With Taylor Swift” video.
How the current interiors use color
A deep jade office with a garden view
Homes & Gardens describes a home office finished in deep jade, with a view toward rose bushes. The pairing gives the saturated wall color a visual counterpoint: the room reads as enveloping, while the window keeps it connected to the garden. For a painting scheme, that is a useful compositional idea—not a guarantee that a dark color will suit every room. Daylight, window orientation, wall area and the view itself all affect the result.

The coverage does not identify a paint brand, color code, sheen or finish. Anyone borrowing the look should treat “deep jade” as a broad color direction, sample candidate paints in the actual room, and assess them at different times of day rather than assuming a specific product was used.
A pink-washed bath and dressing area
The bath and dressing area is described by Homes & Gardens and ELLE Decor as pink-washed and inspired by Annabel’s, the London private members’ club. The influence is a mood reference, not evidence that the room reproduces the club. In paint terms, the important choice is the room-wide pink treatment: it makes the transition between dressing and bathing feel deliberate and cohesive rather than treating the color as a small accent.

A sunroom made for breakfast
Both current design features call out a sunroom breakfast area added as part of the owners’ changes. Its bright, garden-facing role contrasts with the more intimate jade office and pink dressing space. It also shows how a change to layout can shape the way color is experienced: rooms used at different times and for different purposes need not share one palette.
What changed—and what “restored” can mean here
ELLE Decor reports that Nicolas and Roxy Bijan undertook a substantial renovation, including layout changes, wallpaper removal and repainting in the main house and guest cottage. Homes & Gardens characterizes the result as retaining the original 1940s architectural character while changing layout and decor. Together, those accounts suggest a traditional shell with a contemporary layer of color and luxury.

Property details vary by publication and date. Homes & Gardens and ELLE Decor describe 1.5 acres in 2026; the Los Angeles Times described close to 1.4 acres in 2018. These figures are best read as reported estimates rather than an exact surveyed measurement. The Times’ 2018 description included a guesthouse, tennis or sports court, covered patio, vine-covered arbors and outdoor fireplace. Homes & Gardens’ 2026 presentation mentions outdoor dining, a built-in barbecue, traditional landscaping and a pickleball court.

Bedroom descriptions also need context: the Los Angeles Times’ 2018 count was three bedrooms in the main house plus one en-suite bedroom in the guesthouse. Homes & Gardens calls the estate three-bedroom, while ELLE Decor discusses the guest cottage without establishing a consistent total. A single total for the full compound is not settled by these accounts.
What makes the design feel tailored?
The rooms use distinct moods rather than a single neutral scheme: jade for the office, pink for the bath and dressing area, and a sunroom for a brighter everyday gathering place. That contrast is the central design idea. Traditional architecture supplies continuity; concentrated color gives individual rooms a more personal identity.
