“Strawberry Jam” is not a unique cross-stitch chart title: several designers sell different designs under that name or a close variation. The stitch counts, fabric recommendations and floss keys are not interchangeable. This guide distinguishes three listings so you can identify the chart you want before choosing fabric or thread.
Which Strawberry Jam pattern are you looking for?
These listings refer to separate designs. Check the designer and image on the retailer’s current product page before buying; retailer stock and listing contents can change.

How to choose the right fabric size
A chart’s stitch count is not its finished measurement. The approximate stitched area is the stitch count divided by the fabric count, in inches, when using standard even-grid cross-stitch fabric. For example, 116 stitches across on 18-count Aida works out to about 6.4 inches across before adding margins. This is a calculation from the listed count, not a finished-size guarantee; the chart’s instructions and your fabric choice govern the result.

Use the fabric count specified or supported by the exact pattern listing. Aida is an easy-to-count, grid-like fabric; linen is an even-weave fabric often stitched over two threads, so follow the designer’s directions when translating stitch count to fabric count. Do not substitute another chart’s fabric suggestion simply because the pattern title is similar.

What supplies do you need?
- The selected chart: Confirm whether the listing is for a printed pattern, chart or digital download. The EnchanStitch listing is a PDF and expressly excludes physical materials.
- Fabric: Match the count and fabric type in that chart’s instructions. The listings above do not establish one universal fabric choice.
- Floss: Follow the selected chart’s color key. Madame Chantilly’s listed DMC colors are specific to that design; the Housewives listing has its own named colors and DMC equivalents, while EnchanStitch lists 57 DMC colors.
- Basic stitching tools: A suitable needle and hoop can be useful, but these listings do not specify a particular needle or hoop size.
Before you buy
- Match the designer and design image to the chart you intend to stitch.
- Read the current listing to confirm format, fabric recommendations and whether materials are included.
- Use that chart’s own stitch count and floss key to plan fabric and thread; do not combine specifications from different Strawberry Jam charts.
