Physical Year of the Dragon greeting cards were produced for Lunar New Year 2024, including a dragon-themed single card listed by Paper Source and a four-card prepaid set documented by Hongkong Post. These are historical examples, not confirmation that either design is still for sale.
What 2024 Year of the Dragon greeting cards were documented?
The examples below show two different approaches: a single illustrated card with a blank interior and a postal set of four cards with postage prepaid. Their features come from the Paper Source product listing and Hongkong Post’s December 2023 newsletter.
| Example | Format and occasion | Documented details |
|---|---|---|
| Paper Source, “Dragon Lunar New Year Card” by Seedlings | Single card for Lunar New Year | Attributed to artist Margaret Jeane; blank inside; described as hot foil stamped by hand in small batches in Massachusetts and printed on premium paper. The listing gives dimensions of 4.25 by 5.5 inches and describes a plantable seed-paper envelope embedded with non-invasive wildflower seeds. These are retailer-provided descriptions, not independent tests or evidence of environmental impact. |
| Hongkong Post Lunar New Year greeting-card set | Four-card set | Hongkong Post’s December 2023 newsletter listed it as postage-prepaid and gave January 5, 2024 as the relevant date. The newsletter establishes the set’s documented format, not present availability or resale value. |

Can you still buy a 2024 Year of the Dragon card?
The cited sources do not establish current stock for the specific 2024 designs. Paper Source’s product page is a retailer listing, but listings and inventory can change; Hongkong Post’s newsletter is a dated record from December 2023, not a current sales notice. Check a seller’s live listing for the design, year, quantity, postage terms, and availability before purchasing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What other category examples are there?
Hallmark has a Chinese New Year cards category with seasonal examples, but assortments can change. It is useful as category context, not evidence that a particular Year of the Dragon 2024 design remains available. Hong Kong’s Information Services Department also published a 2025 fact sheet about products associated with the 2024 Year of the Dragon stamp issue; that is postal-product context, not evidence of greeting-card demand.
